Finally! My Very First Solo Trip - Pictures have been added!!!

The ones that I can remember off the top of my head are EE, Test Track, Rock N Roller coaster, I think for awhile Toy Story Mania has one but sometimes it is closed, Space Mountain.

Thanks Eyor- We were very fortunate for a few moments to have MS almost all to ourselves.

And thank you Dolce for posting the FP thread- I just spent the better part of 2 days drooling over food pics here on DIS- I am so hungry that I can't sleep! only a few weeks left and now I am trying to justify last minute changes to my ADR's It all looks so good!!!

I am still wavering on doing a TS meal. $$ is holding me back and then I realized with the AP I can get a discount at some of the places. One problem: for some reason, I don't have the list of discounts for 2010, I still have the 2009 one. Off to see if I can find where the discounts are for 2010.

Monday evening DH and I were discussing the summer calender when DS walked by and said, "hey what does Lisa-FL mean?" DH replied "Oh Mom has a trip for work that week and I have a trip the next week" DS "Mom? traveling for work? cool." One kid down, one to go. Of course DS doesn't care if I travel or not. DD's the one who is going to pitch a fit. her and Gram. She'll want to know who is cooking for her Wednesday night.

I have been searching for a coupon for my rental car, hoping for an upgrade or something. Don't really need one, as it is just me, but that's me, always looking for a coupon. Anyway, today I was on MyCokeRewards and discovered a $25 gift certificate. That will pay for the one day that I have to pay for.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, I have to go through our travel agent at work and can't do travel there like I would do for personal. Killed me to pay full price for airfare, but I did insist on Southwest. Would you believe that "they" are paying double for my airfare than I what I paid for my January trip? Same for the car. I knew I could get a better rate if I could have checked on the Dis first, but no, had to go through them. Anyway, I can use this certificate when I pay for my car and it will take care of the one day that I have to pay for myself.

Hey, I had a BRILLIANT idea just now. If I send my Coke coupons to you, will you take me along? Okay, okay, I know it's a SOLO trip but it was worth a try at least.

Now that DS is on DIS, how will this be a secret for long from DD? Bribes? Threats? Extra allowance?

Hmmmm......coke coupons, solo Disney trip????? Nope, gonna stay solo this time. Good try though.

I thought about that, but it will be interesting if DS does find this thread. See, he knows I am going on a trip, but he doesn't know WHERE yet. I'm kind of interested in seeing when he figures it out. But yes, there will be threats involved most likely. He turns 15 on Thursday and wants his permit. So, I have something to hang over his head.

Last night I was having doubts about this trip. I told one of my good friends as I may need for DD to go to her house after school a couple of days and I didn't want to ask at the last minute. She was all for it. Her kids love to have DD come over.

But I degress. I was wondering should I do this. I can't remember if I posted before, but last trip I took for work, involved issues of jelously when I return. Seemed someone had issues with the trip I went on and we ended up having to make all kinds of justifications when I returned. And I learned so much on that trip. I just hate problems and confrontations. I am going though, I think it was just my friend's DH's reaction when she told him. One of those, I can't believe they are letting you go and you are staying at Disney. He gets to go to Hawaii every year and makes a big deal out of it.

I work very hard, am a very valuable employee and make a definite contribution to my group. I KNOW that this training will be valuable to me and to my work.

Just a little bump in the road. But I am good about it now.

Don't get yourself down. At all. Chin up. You deserve a nice trip. I bet you're constantly putting others before yourself - the people who finally get their own trip and feel guilty are always the ones that put others before their own needs. So I know that's you. Your kids will totally survive with Mom going to Disney for a few days without them - trust me - CPS will not need to be called out for this. And they won't need counseling or anything! And a guy who gets to go to HI each year is giving you grief? Insert your own not very nice word here b/c that's what I'm thinking. I'll term him as jealous.

Thanks Dolce You're right, I always put everyone else first. and you are right about the HI guy. He does so much and still seems jeolous if someone else gets to do something. I'm ignoring him now.

I have been working on my budget and realized that I have an extra $30 to work with. TS or not.......still thinking on this one.
