One week from today I will be getting ready to land in Orlando.

Saw my DB and DSisil and they were both, you are going to have so much fun solo, it is so worth it and a completely different kind of trip. They both go to Disney solo whenever they have a business trip to Orlando. DB kept saying "single rider line, don't forget about the single rider lines."

So glad you checked in this morning. I was worried when I heard about the tornadoes in MS this past weekend. I don't think Yazoo City is too near you though, is it? Is that where most of the damage occurred?

Thanks for checking ShiPooOwner. Yes, Yazoo is a few hours North of me. I am closer to New Orleans than anything. Thankfully we were on the very edge of the storm system. We had quite a bit of rain and storm during the night and first thing in the morning, but after that it was just overcast and wind. There was one tornado sighted about 30 minutes North of me, but I think the damage was minimal.

Yes, one week. One week from right now I plan to be at DHS.

6 more days to go!!!

I have figured out when to tell DD I am going. Friday evening I have to turn in the ads we have been collecting for DD's dance school revue program. The top seller is on the cover of the program. Last year, DD tied for the cover. While she was good about sharing the cover she asked could I please do better this year. A friend has been helping me and hopefully this year we will make it. Then I can go back to just family ads and the couple of stores that I should own serious stock in as I am there so much.

But my thought is, if she wins, she will be so happy that she won't dwell on my being gone. ........well, one can hope. Now we just hope we have enough ads. I really hate this pressure. I would much rather be dreaming about Disney and my plan of attack.

4 days to go!!!

I received the confirmation this morning that my flights have been paid for!!! That was the final step I was waiting for to know that this is for real and I am actually going. I am so excited and can't believe all of the Dissers who will be there at the same time.

Hey Dolce!

Had a bit of a scare this afternoon. My travel orders were sent back through the system due to the flights just being paid for today. There was a cost increase, so it needed more approval. Since I can't approve my own orders, I called someone else and she said "Yes, I am holding them until we figure out why the price increase." Ummmm, I made the reservation two months ago and the office won't actually pay for it until three business days before the flight. Then I gave an explanation of what would happen if they weren't approved and I had to rebook everything. $20 would be peanuts then. Everything finally got approved and signed off on.

It's official. I'M GOING TO DISNEY!!!! BY MYSELF!!!!

Today work was so busy and frustrating. But I think I got the important stuff done. A couple of things I will do while I am gone and one thing will just have to wait until I get back.

This weekend, the next two days, are going to be very busy. I have begun a list and as I think of things, it keeps getting longer.

My last post before I depart. I must go to bed. It is 10:45pm and I get up at 3:00am, leave by 4:00am, to the parking garage by 5:30am, shuttle to airport.

DD took the news well. She doesn't exactly know where I am going. I told her this morning. She cried, I made pancakes, all is right with the world. Now, if she knew I was going to the World, that would be a completely different story.

I do plan to take lots of pictures. I'll try to cover everything for you all.

I'm at Disney, I'm loving it. Loving my conference, gotten all of my regular work done. It's an awesome week. I have lots of things to tell and pics to show. I only have a few minutes left on my internet time. So you all will just have to wait.

After a restless night, I got up at 3:09am. I was ready and left the house at 4:04am.

It was a difficult drive as my allergies are real bad combined with the pressure from the storm system we have sitting over us and I would have much rather been sleeping. I arrived at the parking lot at 5:28am. As I was getting off of the shuttle bus, the strap for my computer bag broke. I foresee many more mishaps as I feel I am really having to earn this trip. Through check-in and security without a hitch and I was at the gate by 6:05am. A completely full flight, so this morning should be fun. My flight is the first one out of this gate today and it is ready and waiting for boarding. I can’t do a live update as the airport internet is not working.

Flight was very smooth to Florida. Took an hour to get luggage and the rental car, but everything went smoothly and soon I was on my way to the World. I have never driven here from the airport before, but it was very easy to find.

All Star Music

I received a very warm welcome to the All Stars and didn’t have a wait at check-in. Fortunately my room was ready as I was very tired and was really hoping for a nap. First I decided to eat lunch before going back to my room. Here I received my first bit of pixie dust. I decided on pizza and asked for a kids meal so I could have the carrots and grapes also. The two CMs looked in the warming oven and there were only adult pizzas. They had me go pay for my food and come around to the pizza window. One of the CMs even made a show of giving me a buzzer and when I walked around he buzzed it. All in fun and it really made me feel better. After eating, I set off to find my room. Exactly where I had requested to be back when I made my reservation.

I was in the second Broadway building on the end near the parking lot. A bit of a walk to the main building, but I like to walk so it isn’t a problem. Plus the grounds are beautiful.
