Feb.4,2006. Who else is sailing?

Okay - it looks like I will gain all of my cruise weight on Sunday - I think we'll have Character breakfast that day, since we'll likely have the APL rotation, then Palo Brunch, and it's formal night, so lobster for dinner.

You'd think this would bother me... :upsidedow
 
I remember somebody posting that they are likely to shift the formal night because of the Superbowl. So you will be able to continue gaining weight the entire cruise. :sunny:

Hey Dee - I finally opened those GREAT t-shirts you designed that we ordered, and my DS thought they were really cool. Then he asked why it said "2005" - uh oh! :confused3

Leave it to a 5 yr old to find that right away.

How did you design those? I'd like to get matching shirts for boarding day - in the official Dis color lime green. Let me know and maybe I can do it, unless it's just as easy for you to fix the little typo. :flower3:

Yeah - we have an elliptical in our house, but I HATE that thing. Mark is addicted - he's on it now and will probably be 1.5 hrs before he's all done. My thing is the recumbent bike - to me, it's the laziest form of exercise, since you're sitting down on it. :rotfl2:

I just looked at mine. You're right...

Do you want your money back? I can easily redesign them and through it back up in the shop. I'll do it today. Let me know if you want a refund. PM me. I'll put a note on the board when the design is redone.

Johana, your 5-year-old is more obeservant than my 9-y/o. He missed it completely when I showed him the t-shirt and bear!
 
Well, I'm off the elliptical machine, which I cop to being addicted to. And it never hurts to shed a few pounds before the cruise. We should keep this board going after the cruise to compare notes on how much weight we gained. My plan is to hit the elliptical hard on board so hopefully I won't need a forklift to get me off of the ship.

I think that the t-shirts with the 2005 date are collectors items. The only thing cooler would be if we could pick a sailing date for 2007 and print t-shirts for those, but from the rates I've seen so far, it will be a while before we sail again.

And I am super-psyched for the Palo brunch. We have also have Palo dinner scheduled, so I'm a big fan of the Palo double dip.

Or you can try to get resies onboard for 2/5 at 10AM and ask to be setup next to the backroom, so we can all mingle easily.

Hey, I have an elliptical machine upstairs and I don't use it as I should. I really have the desire to, but so many other things to do once I get home in the afternoon. I always say, "Maybe next week!" Our oldest daughter is a registered dietician and an exercise enthusiast (also a realtor) so she tries to motivate me. I have lost 30 pounds and really need the exercise to help me get rid of some more. So... maybe I will be going you on the machines. However, maybe walking will be my exercise of choice on the ship.

What are these shirts that you have been talking about?

The Cruise T-Shirts -- now with the correct year on it -- is yours if you want to purchase it. You only pay what the site charges you to make it -- I don't mark up these shirts. It's a fun thing to wear for embarkation photos, or any other time to let people know you're a DIS cruiser.

Mark, thanks for the "Collector's Item" remark. You made me feel better. If you guys want a refund let me know...or I can just have a corrected set shipped to you on my dime. Let me know.

You can view the design for the shirt HERE, just note that I fixed the year and it now reads 2006 (I just didn't upload the corrected design to Photobucket, because I didn't have to).

On our last cruise, dh and I each gained 2 pounds. Of course, we called it "water weight" instead of Palo weight! :rotfl: We're pretty good at most meals, but NOT at Palo.

I don't love the food at DCL (ducking), but I do love Palo.

We are 4 adults.
I am not positive I can get it, but I will take names.

steveandtonya (I believe 2?)

Also, I have a preference to do it on a sea day and not when there's a character breakfast (I am an adult sucker for characters). I think I read a character breakfast is early in the rotation?

So, I would think I would try to schedule it for a sea day later in the trip. Does that work? Who else is in? I have 6 so far (I think.)

We are doing a back to back Wonder trip in Feb 07, and planning a christmas cruise in Dec 08
 
OK, we are getting into the timeframe when the cruise docs show up.

Just so you know, brunch is ONLY on sea days.

Marcy In Florida, while I do not do elliptical, I do spinning, running, and free weights, so I too will be working off those calories!

As we approach the sailing date, our own little group of enthusiasts has posted more than 400 messages! We have formed our own community and have begun enjoying the trip well in advance of leaving. And booked some cool bonding experiences.
