In Search of New Bras

Well, I know Chantelle go up to G and H as those were what my mom needed. She wore a 38G or H and she found them just as comfortable. She introduced me to the Chantelle brand.

I just did a quick look and they don't seem to have G in anything more than a 40. I really don't understand this but it is common and the issue I am running into.

I will probably just have to stick with the 18 hour bra.

Christa, I went there awhile back looking for the "perfect" bra and after a few failed tries (and expensive) I went back to my 18 hour. :goodvibes

Does anyone have suggestions for a wireless front-close with snaps or trouser-style fasteners? Preferably sized by band/cup instead of S/M/L. I’ve had a real challenge finding something supportive that DD can manage independently with her fine motor skill challenges. “Adaptive” have the closures she can manage but tend to have very minimal support.

My main issue is the quality doesn’t seem to be there anymore. The elastic on the band doesn't seem to hold up as long. Plus now that I am older the girls have gotten more saggy so I am hoping to find something with a little more lift & support.
I used to wear the Cross Your Heart bras by Playtex. But they sort of "merged" those with the 18 hour bras a few years ago, so that's what I've been buying. I agree about the quality of them. And the 18 hour ones tend to start in larger sizes than I need. I keep an eye on them because, rarely, they will offer smaller sizes.

Do you all have Reddit? There is a subreddit called “A Bra That Fits”. They have a sizing tool and suggestions on where to find bras that work for you.

I was just going to post this. It's a really great forum to figure out your real bra size which most of us aren't getting right. Lots of people also post some of the best brands (and they are brands you generally wouldn't be aware of). Just a warning though, that a good bra is going to be kind of pricey.

Now personally, I do really well with the Wacoal brands and they have a lot of full figure sizes.

Nordstrom generally has good supply of bras in their stores so you'd be able to try different brands on. While Kohl's also has a large selection, I can't find one brand in that store that really looks decent on me once I put my shirt on over it.

I am looking for new bras. I have worn Playtex 18 hour bras since I was 16. I have large, heavy, droopy, old boobs. I get a ton of ads for "the best bras ever" but a lot of them only come in S-2XL sizing and not band/cup sizing. Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations for a good full coverage, supportive bra? I have never worn a bra with an underwire but am willing to give it a try.

edited for clarification:
I am looking for something new/different. I have been ordering the Playtex on Amazon for probably 20 years now and the quality just isn't there anymore.
These. I can vouch for them for your situation, which I relate.

Hanes Smooth Comfort wireless bra works for me. They are very comfortable and supportive and come in sizes up to 3x. They loosen a bit over time. I wear my newer ones when I want more support and the older ones when I want to be more relaxed.

I’ve had decent luck with glamorise bras. They’re inexpensive and come in larger sizes. I’m a DDD.
