Faxing requests and BCV views...

I have rented points for a BCV studio in November. I called DVC today and asked to add to my request of non-smoking and a balcony to just an Epcot view. The CM tried to talk me out of it! I thought that was interesting. Told me that Epcot views are not good because there is lots of traffic noise from the roadway at night. I told her that was OK. Anyway, in the past I've always additionally faxed the resorts with my requests a few days before and have gotten them all except one time and that was at All-Star Movies. Has anyone faxed requests if you are a DVC member to the DVC resort directly? And how did you do it? Using the traditional resort fax number addressed to the room assignor? Thanks for any tips. Also, wondering here... What have people requested at BCV? Is just requesting an Epcot view good? Is there anything else I should add to that? Like a certain side or something? We will be in a studio. Thanks as always! Shan

You are best to keep your requests limited or they may give you your second request. There is no need to fax room requests, rooms are assigned by the date they reserved.

By assigned by the date they were reserved... Does this mean the date the room was reserved or the date in which the request was made? Thanks, I won't bother with a fax. Shan

It is my understanding that they are filled from the date they are reserved. I have never switched my requests though, so I cannot give you an opinion there. I have always reserved at the 11 month window and have always received my requests. Don't get to tied to a view though - they are all great.

Then there is this whole OKW first-come first-served fiasco..........
