Ok friends -
I'm 10 days out from being able to book my fastpasses for our trip in September. I'm a little nervous about the whole thing, as I've seen many on here have trouble with the system or have found it confusing, etc.

I'm looking for any tips or advice to help me through this the first time. We have kids (will be almost 6 and 3.5) that will have us trying for some much sought after fp (7dmt and A&E). I do intend to stay up until midnight. Any other tips on how the website works etc? Should I book my MK day before I do my other parks to try to ensure those fastpasses?

Also - we are doing MNSSHP one evening and don't plan to do a park that day. We plan to get in on our party ticket earlier in the evening (trying for 4:00). It's also our last day at Disney so our other park tickets will be accounted for by this point. That being said - is it possible for us to book fastpasses of any of the rides between 4-7? I know that theoretically the ride lines should be much shorter during the party, but I'd like to make good use of that time to get some of the fastpasses I may not be able to attain for our other MK day.

Thanks for any help!

Just subscribing since you ask very good questions.

Just one for you...do you think your 3.5 yr and 6 yr old will be able to stay up until midnight? We have young ones and am hoping they can make it for the fireworks one night.

I would definitely book the 7DMT and A&E FP's before doing any of the other parks. I see that you want to stay up until midnight to get them but keep in mind sometimes they don't get opened up until 1 or 2am. Also you can try to book one person at a time and just copy over the time for A&E. That seems to be working for some people. Either that or break your group down into 2 groups of 2 people and get overlapping times. I know it seems confusing but you'll get it once you start looking at the FP booking screens.

If you don't get them at first keep checking because I wasn't able to get them right away but a week before our June trip suddenly I could. I guess some people cancelled.

As far as your getting FP when you enter MK using your MNSSHP, I'm not sure if you'll be able to get FP in advance since you'll have used up your regular tickets by then. It won't hurt to try.

I'll be able to get my FP+ for September soon too. In about 14 days I think. I guess I need to get planning again.

Have a great trip!

Thanks so much for the replies! I had read on another board that if I don't use fastpasses for another day (we have a day devoted basically to world showcase at epcot, so this would be prime), then from 4-7 that day I could theoretically get something?! Now I'm teetering with that.

And we do intend to 'try' to keep our kiddos out until midnight, but, that being said, the only thing we have that day is a later breakfast at Ohana, and we plan to swim and nap hard before we head to the MK :) We also don't have any big plans for the next morning.

I will say, ordering the MNSSHP was what made the decision for me to rent the double stroller for our trip. We figure, kids get tired, maybe they'll pass out in the stroller and we can enjoy some leisurely adult time browsing and meeting characters :cheer2:

I just booked my fastpasses last night. I'm going from 9/10-9/23. I have a 10 day park ticket. I started picking FP's for my last MK day which was 9/19. I was able to get A&E & 7DMT very easily. I then went to 9/16 which was the date I originally wanted just to see if I could get one and I did for both! We are doing MNSSHP on this date. I tried the 14th which I thought for sure would be sold out and it still had A&E & 7DMT! I then checked the 12th & A&E were all gone by that time but 7DMT was still available. It was much easier than I thought it would be.

Another tip, pick A&E & 7DMT along with any random FP so you don't waste time. Then after you secure those, you can go back and change the other fastpasses to whatever you want. I also noticed that MSEP FP and Wishes were not available. Either they went very quickly or they didn't open up yet. :) But Festival of Fantasy Parade was open and did not run out.
