Fastpass Enforcement coming?

I got six pages into this before jumping to the end here. Here is what will happen. They will enforce the window. You will all piss and moan. You will whine and cry. Then you will plan around it, and spend your money there like we all do every year, no matter what decisions they make. Grow up whine bags.
Just sayin'

Iger, is that you? Sorry to disappoint, but my usual, 2-3 visits a year, no longer exist. I have ONE planned this year and ZERO for the next. Too bad, my grandchildren' would be disappointed and a nonrefundable deposit is involved. Otherwise, I would cancel this year's trip.

Iger continues to "take away the Magic"...bit by bit.

If you think using a Fast Pass outside of the listed window is magic, I think you are missing a lot. The magic is in seeing your kids/grandkids/nieces/nephews faces light up when they see Pooh/Mickey/Cinderella for the first time. It is in having one of those kids run up and grab your hand as you walk thru the parks. It is in getting grandma to hop in the pool with those kids and have fun, when everyone knows grandma doesn't do pools. Using a late FP doesn't compare to any of those things at all. It barely registers as a blip on the magic scale.

Imho people are getting to caught up in something that won't really have that big a negative impact on their vacation. I think the vast majority of people have great vacations without using late Fast Passes. It will take some willingness to adjust, sure. But a trip to WDW won't now just suck because of not using late Fast Passes.

I can't agree with you MORE! Honestly! The return window has ALWAYS been there! They will just be ENFORCING it for pete's sake! The fastpasses never said "come back anytime after 12:00 and you're good".

The only thing that worries me is what "exactly" the XPass is going to be...

I agree, but if we took away all of the overreactions, there wouldn't be much of anything left on the disboards at all.

Agree 100%! Thank you for that awesome post. It brought back great memories of when we first took our DD to WDW over 20 years ago.

I'm letting my passes lapse, although not entirely due to this, but in small part. My DW and DD's passes are done with, and in August my DS and mine will expire.

Granted, we were saving up for a DCL trip, but we will be opting for the much cheaper Busch Garden's pass now that the little one can ride the scorpion roller coaster. Plus, for the price of BG and SW combined, that was the same as a weekday pass to WDW.

At some point I'll come back, but the last few trips, while great, just made me realize the hassle of going to Disney wasn't all that much worth it anymore. In the summer I can go home from work and go to BG with the kiddos. Cooler temps, most people will be leaving the park by then (from experience with past passes) and we can be back home before bedtime.

Surely, you don't think, FP is the sole reason for my comment? Many things have changed, under Iger's reign, that I don't feel are positive. He's a bean counter...nothing more. There's an entire thread.. Disney's downhill slide. I was merely responding to the post, regarding"moaning, groaning, etc, but everyone will continue to support Disney".

Actually, my personal feeling is FP will no longer be "free". So in this sense, another piece of magic will be gone.

I'm a bit confused, honestly. I thought the Fastpass queue was chock full of late FP users at the end of the day?

Obviously, we were holding on to them to use even LATER to make sure we ruined the vacations of others!

I've also found myself going less often than I used to. And spending more time at Universal. Like you, it's not one issue -- but it's hard to look at the whole package and NOT see a general decline in quality going hand-in-hand with a relentless effort to monetize every inch of the park.

And I'm certain Xpass will be monetized. That, more than anything, is what bothers me about the FP changes. Not the changes themselves, but what they portend.

:sad2:
drama queeen much?

Tell you what, and this is because I consider you a friend.

I'll sell you what's left of my 10 day no expire hoppers (4 days left) for $200 and throw in a few FP's that we got.

And this is a friend price, don't tell anyone about this.
