Fast Pass vs Single Rider

My husband and I returned from Disney Monday and I wanted to let you all know that we utilized the single rider lines instead of fast pass whenever we could. For Mount Everest we waited less than 5 minutes to ride in as a single rider and actually got on the same coaster. This also worked for Rockin Roller Coaster and Test Track. For Test Track we actually sat right behind eachother.

Fast Pass had us coming back hours later but the single rider lines had us on and off in minutes. Use single rider whenever possible and save your fast passes for rides that don't offer single riders. saved us a lot of time:)

I'm glad you had good success with the single ride lines. We waited MUCH longer in single rider line twice at Test Track than was desireable. Thought we'd never get on! I get fast passes, then try the single line for RnRC and EE since DH can only ride each of those once and he's done. I still get fast passes for everything else since we like to ride together. Glad you enjoyed it!

Also, I wanted to note that the success with riding together is not always true. My husband and I do single riders at Test Track (I can't ride Rock N Roller Coaster or Expedition Everest) and we've ranged from being in the same vehicle to being several cars apart.

Never assume you will in the same ride vehicle in any of the three single rider line attractions. Never.

I don't want families thinking they can go in their with their kids and get into the same vehicle. It more than likely will not happen.

I've had great success with the SRL on both EE and TT. Especially EE - last trip, I rode three times in about 25 minutes!

Not so much for RnR; for some reason, in my experience, the SRL is agonizingly slow.

From the reports over the years, it seems that Test Track tends to be best at processing the Single Rider line. My thoughts is that it has to do with the "odd" seating of 3x3. If there is a party of 2, 4, or 5 people, there will generally be 1 or 2 seats left to be filled (with 2 seats in different rows). Only if they happen to stage two parties of 3 in the same vehicle, or a party of 6, would no single riders be taken.

They are also pushing the cars out at a constant rate. Not a lot of time to be staging to ideal numbers.

RNRC and EE hold more people but also have more time for ideal staging. But it also has a lot to do with the CM experience.

And just a guess, but I think parties of even numbers tend to be more common. Not sure...just from non-scientific observation. This tends to make single rider selections less common at the "even seating" rides.
