If the info I got today from multiple CMs and Guest relations people was accurate .... then yes, they are no longer holding back FPs for day of use
~What speaks to me more than anything else is the OP's signature that proudly displays a ticker for yet another fabulous trip to WDW!![]()
I would agree of course, "if" it is accurate. But how many times have people reported on the DIS that they have gotten inaccurate info from multiple CMs and Guest relations people and even went so far as to mock others for believing favorable FP+ info that they said CMs told them?
I am just confused when CMs are considered a reliable source of info and when they are not?

And if you note I said the same in the OP and this is why I went to multiple fp kiosks and asked the same question and got the same responses ... it also matches my experience today which is why I asked in the first place ...
Something like percentage of FP being held back is never going to be published by Disney, so all we have to go on is speculation and discussion.
ITA. People who live locally, come to the parks for a few rides, don't stay onsite, don't do onsite meals, and don't buy sounveniers aren't really who Disney wants to keep happy. FP+ was designed to get guests to spend more. I would guess that the local AP holder is probably the group that not only spends the least, but will likely spend the least no matter how many FP+ experiences you throw at them.
I feel like FP+ actually benefits us tremendously as we can prebook three rides back to back in the evening where before we couldn't get FP for anything we wanted when visiting in the evening.
This is garbage. We eat at Disney at least 2-3 times per week. Downtown Disney is where our movie theater is. We book rooms just to use the resort and don't even necessarily stay in the room. Souvenirs you may have us on....but we also bring guests who visit us that buy tickets, food and souvenirs. We also utilize the least of the resources at the park. My kids/family is unwilling to wait more than 10 minutes for any ride. We often go to the park and grab a dole whip and then see the Tiki Birds and maybe the Country Bear Jamboree. We are not unusual either. We have many friends and neighbors that use Disney the way we do. Think of the way most people visit their local mall to kill time and that is how we use our Annual Passes. Unless we are bringing other paying guests with us we don't go spend a day riding all the headliner rides... we JUST go spend money. I feel like FP+ actually benefits us tremendously as we can prebook three rides back to back in the evening where before we couldn't get FP for anything we wanted when visiting in the evening.
I fully agree and it is exactly why that certain posters should not proclaim it as the Gospel truth just because it matches their narrative.
I am sure this discussion would be different if someone came back here and reported something they heard from multiple CMs that directly contradicted their own theories of FP+.
We would be treated to all kinds of algorithms, patents, and other evidence of why these CMs were not only wrong but an example of Disney trying to deceive their guests. Of course, then we would hear about how much better Universal is....but i digress..lol
It is good to see that your criteria to believe them is that it matched your experience and narrative. Thank you for clarification.
Just curious, have multiple CMs been wrong in the past as reported on various issues on the DIS?
This thread, along with your other about the FP+ discoveries, has been VERY insightful - from you and the other posters with their "assumptions"
)

I am glad you troll so hard and read so soft.
I have no narrative
I don't see where being a critic (or supporter) of FP+ has anything to do with this discussion. Holding back, or not holding back FPs is content neutral. OtherScott and I have had several opposing views on the topic, and yet we land on the same square when it comes to this issue. There are people in this thread who have loved FP+ from the start who are in support of the "no hold back" position. And there are people who have criticized FP+ from the start who are in support of the "no hold back" position. The narrative is irrelevant. But the business logic behind the decision is not.Your history of being a vocal critic on FP+ in the past would indicate otherwise.
But yea...
I merely pointed out that you were inclined to believe the CMs because it matched your experience.
