**Fantasy Becomes Reality** Group--5/19/2012 (INDEX/ROLE CALL, PAGE 1--ENTRY 1)

Several updates today...

..........b.) I improved the info related to FE's on post # 4, including links to some existing DisBoard posts that Susan and I have subscribed to.

Hello,
Thanks for the update on your Stepmom, so glad all is well!

Just thought I'd let you know that when I tried to check out the FE links posted, only the 3rd and 4th links were working. The rest said Error 404, page not found.
[I was going to try to PM this to you, but the system says I have to post 10 times before I will be allowed]

Speaking of FE's, when I looked at pics from FE's on the Dream, the area where our FE would be seems much smaller than on the Magic or Wonder.
Has anyone else noticed? I still haven't made ours yet and am wondering if the dimensions should be narrower than recommended on the other threads (which were started before the Dream set sail).

We used our FE on both the Wonder and the Dream and there were no problems on the Dream. It never got caught in the door or anything. I THINK that it is 7.5 or 7.75 inches wide. The hanger is longer and still no problems. The ONLY problem I ran into was the metal spring in the 'fish' (seahorse at our cabin). The string for the FE dropped down behind the spring and I couldn't get the string back up. I had to unhook from one end and slide it out. Hmm, that probably doesn't make much sense, but anyway, there was no problem with the FE on the Dream.

John, Thanks so much for the work on the fish extender info it is very clear and looks great! You make buying gifts for this many people look easy! Thanks again!

I am so happy to see the faces of everyone popping up! And I like Buzz Lightyear too, just seeing that photo makes me smile!

To all the new folks, hi and welcome! I try to post a hello to each person that joins but there have been so many I can't keep up. Once again welcome!

Good Day Everyone,

I know this trip is still a long way off, but I started making FE gifts today and had a thought...

Are there any Girl Guides or Girl Scouts on our sailing? I would like to do something special for them if we have any. I'm a Girl Guide leader in Canada.

And now, back to making FE gifts... so much fun!

Have a great weekend, everyone.

I was a girlscout from age 5/6 (Kindergarten) in Brownies until I graduate High School. I got a scholarship for college for my participation.

I haven't had time but I'm hoping this fall to pick up a troop and become an assistant leader.

Hope everyone is having a great July ours has been a rollercoaster.

My grandmother arrived to stay for 6 weeks on the 6th of July after a 12 hour flight delay due to mechanical problems. I thought that was going to be our fiasco for the month but it wasn't sadly.

Friday we went to the Launch watched it from Titusville that was amazing!

Then last night we went to dinner in Orlando, about 3 miles from our house on the way back from the restaurant, we were hit from behind. I was transported via ambulance c collar, backboard, lights sirens the whole shebang. Was there for hours getting checked out and by the grace of god I am ok, just have a cervical strain and have to alternate ice/heat and take pills. Follow up with a ortho doctor and a pain management dr and the insurance is taking care of everything. Luckily no one else has had any issues.

We NEED this cruise and I wish it would get here already. We are starting to look at excursions and it looks like St. Maarten we will be doing the Under 2 Flags tour again (did it on our cruise in 2006) so that we can get to both sides and there isn't a ton of walking.

In St. Thomas, we will be doing our own thing, shopping etc with mom's ecv as transport because none of the excursions tickle our fancy and the ones that have slight interest in none allow ecv's so we will just do our own thing.

Castaway Cay we will plant ourselves on the beach, eat lunch, and head back to the ship whenever we get bored. No excursions there.

I voted in the poll, I am impressed at how organized and how large our group is. our last cruise I think there were maybe 12 families so having a large group is different for us. Sometimes I feel lost because i can't keep up with the thread!

I was a girl scout too! I was a PIXY (now called daisy) then a brownie for two years then a junior for three years and a cadet for two years! I would have gone further but we didn't have a leader! My daughter was a daisy, brownie and a junior! I was her brownie leader for two years! In June I watched not only my daughter graduate from high school but also about 7 of my brownies graduate too! I loved it, my mom was also my leader for most of the years I was in scouts. Thanks for bringing some really good memories back! I hope we are not a dying breed!

Yes we are a great big group! I'm glad you are okay! PT works wonders for whip lash don't ignore it! I had dealt with a bad neck for about three or four years and suffered. Then I got kicked in the neck by a patient it got worse! I went to Pt and it was the best thing I ever did. Tony, Kelsey and I were in an accident on the forth of July two years ago on a huge bridge over the water. We were unable to get over the bridge because our car was totaled. While dealing with the police we were all out of our van. Me by the van and Tony and Kelsey back a little ways with the police. I had people driving next to me that I thought I would be safer getting into our van. As I was getting in somebody hit our parked car. I saw her coming and was able to get away but when her car came to a stop she was even with me. She had one child in the front seat and another in the back seat. We were all very lucky! To this day I am a reck when in the car. I jump I scream and I panic when I see headlights coming toward me! So I feel for you and am so glad you are safe. I too feel your pain about being ready for our vacation.

I updated the spreadsheet with the names of DISers that are on the cruise even if they are not participating in the FE.

If you see any errors, have comments, need additions or deletions let me know (via PM or reply).
