HI DIZDADDY and SUE14, You can take the HOOSIER DADDY BUNCH off of every thing, cause we are out of this cruise. We have rebooked to the MAGIC for a APRIL 25, 2012 5 night KEY WEST cruise. We want to see MARGARITAVILLE one last time, as you all know by now, The DREAM and the FANTASY are to large to dock there. So our cruise will be one of the last to go there for now anyway .......and the price WOW! what a savings.Less than half the cost of the Fantasy cruise. Any one want to come with? :HAPPY SAILING

Alas, we are also changing to another cruise date. We had a date conflict arise so changed to the Jan 7th, 2012 sailing of the Magic. We were looking forward to seeing the Fantasy but that will have to wait a bit longer. A safe and happy voyage to all!

We've been away...

My step-mom Mona, who was on our last Disney cruise, and is booked for this one, had a heart attack last Monday. Tuesday, open-heart surgery. Wednesday, attempted to move to a chair in ICU, was put back into bed. Thursday, just trying to control all of her settings, and they determined that she would need a permanent pacemaker. Friday she went down for that minor surgery, and had a panic attack, and that procedure was postponed until Tuesday of next week. Then, Friday night, she had a coughing attack that sent her machines and settings into overload, so they re-intubated her and sedated her. Plan is for them to do the pacemaker surgery while she is intubated and sedated. Of course the minute we leave, the surgery is moved up.....

We were out of town and at the hospital the entire week. Got home last night (about 150 miles away). This morning, got the call that the surgery was happening today. Figures.

So, I have profile updates to do, plus there were NO NEW SUGGESTIONS for the group name, so unless anyone contests it, I'm thinking we should move the cutoff up to one week from today, 7/9.

I will also update profiles, and add info to page one for the FEs.....for now, in this sweltering heat, I'm going to relax and get in our pool....I'll check back in later and take care of these things.

Sorry to hear about all of that!! You deserve to just relax! Take a break and don't worry about any Dis stuff. In the grand scope of things, it really isn't all that important. Besides, we have plently of time to take care of stuff around here.

Been MIA for a while (trying not to get overwhelmed with the size of our group ), but I just wanted to say I hope your stepmom recovers quickly. I'm sure this is a scary time for her and a stressful time for you. You've been so gracious to organize so much of this group, which is no small undertaking. I appreciate that! I hope things turn around for you and your soon.

I'm here I also have been dealing with my mother in law that also had a heart attack and then had bypass surg too! Such a small world it is! Well I should be checking in with the boards this week and then I will be going back to see my mother in law ! I think she needs a little extra Disney magic to help her get better! She has been telling her nurses and other staff about going on a Disney cruise with us so she needs to be fully recovered!

Hey all

Sorry I've been MIA... It seems like summer is crazier than the school year around here! I've only read the last few posts (will catch up more later), but I'm sorry to hear that HoosierDaddy had to drop out and that DisDaddy's crew is not doing well Best wishes to everyone for better days ahead...

Things here have been good. For those of you who are familiar with Soap Box Derby, my oldest won our local race a few weeks ago and is going to All American in 2 weeks! I raced when I was younger (I grew up near Akron, so I raced at Derby Downs too), so we're pretty excited about that We've been pretty preoccupied with car stuff for him...

Anyway-- I'll update more later after I catch up on the boards! Just wanted to say hi and that we're still alive!

Wow! We are dropping like flies! My co-“dummy bookers” are gone & the key-lime pirates have become the key-“light” pirates. I think I’m now the “oldest” poster by default. Its been neat to watch this group evolve, but I guess that is to be expected when you book on day one.

So I thought I would post a quick update.

The surgery to insert the pacemaker was a huge success.

She has been improving day by day and is on the mend!

We are so EXTREMELY thankful for all of the kind thoughts and prayers....it's been a hectic and scary adventure, but she will be well positioned to join us in May for her second Disney cruise.

Several updates today...

1) I've not opened up the poll yet for the cruise group name, but will shortly (by end of week). There have been no new submissions.

2) On page one, some updates:
..........a.) We reached max capacity of pictures on post #1, which caused a delay of posting 'nonni's beautiful family picture. This is why I reserved posts 2 and 3 for rollover. In an effort to not have to re-do this all later, I've split Posts 1,2,3 up by alpha split (A-H, I-Q, R-Z). We can continue to grow!
..........b.) I improved the info related to FE's on post # 4, including links to some existing DisBoard posts that Susan and I have subscribed to.
..........c.) I added profile information for both 'NikkiDrigg' and 'Little Bit'. Thanks so much for your patience and sorry for the delay. Now....what do you look like??? (hint, hint, hehehe)

So sorry for the confusion! Tony's step mom is my mother in law! I was sleep deprived when I wrote that post! I thought I was being funny. I was just reading it back and it sounded horrible. I don't even remember coming up with those names for our cruise! I told Tony that I did not write those names, and he said "yea you did page 29 or 30". Isn't that crazy! No recognition at all! So once again I am so sorry for the confusion. As for my mother in law she is doing much better! She just needs rehab and to cough and deep breathe! Sounds like an easy thing to do but not so much! Thank you for your thoughts and well wishes they will be passed on!
