Fantasmic Thread!

So while every crowd calendar says that the weeks before and after Easter will be crowded, it doesn't appear that Disneyland is adjusting their Fantasmic schedule. Are Disneyland's calculations correct or are the crowd calendars? :scratchin
Wish I had better advice but honestly wouldn't go by crowd calendar or Disney Entertainment scheduling.

It seems like with cutbacks to Entertainment department park could be crowded with no shows going on, in fact it may seem more packed since guests will be in attraction or food lines.

*for example in the past if multiple parades during day at Disneyland and Frozen/Aladdin at California Adventure all those guests were watching instead of in other queue lines

9 pm showing of F! for tonight just cancelled “due to unforeseen circumstances”… Will report back on 10:30 pm showing.

It used to be you could book the first showing with the river bell terrace package and stay seated there to watch the show, is this still the case?

You can. It is called the River Belle Terrace PREMIUM package. There is very limited seating so reservations sell out within a couple of seconds.

Cost is $89 per person
Dinner begins at 7:15 for a 9:00 show
You do not get a choice of seats so could have an obstructed view

Thanks that video is great. I think my kids will find the people walking by too distracting. I am thinking to go with the Cafe Orleans option. Have these packages been selling out? Would like to do a dinner reso for midday break but don't want to worry about losing out on preferred seating.

Someone else asked the same question. https://www.disboards.com/threads/cafe-orleans-fantasmic-question.3963094/

While I haven't heard of them selling out, we haven't hit spring break crowds yet. Lately RB and RdZ Fantasmic reservations have been available very close to the date of arrival. However, it looks like they are now selling out for some of the March dates. If the other packages are sold out, I would expect more people to make Cafe Orleans reservations with the intent to request Fantasmic seating.

If you really want Fantasmic seating I would try to book earlier in the day rather than later.

Only way to check is look at the reservations for CO on F! nights.

We have done this twice with our son, once when he was 3 years old and once when he was 4. It was perfect for our needs - we could see just fine and didn’t find passersby distracting at all. And it meant our son had a chair and could then sit on Mom or Dad’s lap when he got tired. One of my favorite pictures ever of me and my son is him on my lap at River Belle Terrace the first time watching with a looking of wonder and amazement on his face.

No Kaa at either showing of F! tonight. In addition, one of the barges was not used in both shows (I’m assuming technical difficulties with that barge) - they ran two barges only (so missing one barge of monkeys during Jungle Book scene, and no Beauty and the Beast during the princess scene).

No Kaa last night either, but all three barges appeared. I don’t know the technical details of the show, but I thought the barges were free floating but I noticed not too long ago that after an employee undressed them (across from the Hungry Bear Restaurant), she pushed them and a track guided them away (empty). Also noticed that the cast (after the show) tMes the barges back to this same spot, and exits backstage via the restaurant.

For months, they’ve been having problems with the mechanism that lifts Maleficent, so at least that’s working.

Last year people who worked on the show were reporting that a replacement dragon as well as magic carpet would appear for the 70th anniversary, but I think they’ve permanently joined Pinocchio and Tic Toc Croc…
