Fantasmic question

Hello! Just wondering how late do you think we (me, hubby, and 1 yr old) could show up to see the show? We certainly do not need to sit close up as I know that the seating in the front tends to get a little wet. I know the show starts at 8:30...but I'm thinking maybe we could try and get there around 8 and get in. The only issue is...it's Easter week 3/29 - 4/4...so I know that's a busy time. Any advice would be great!

If you have the Fantasmic Dinner Package, then you can show up 30 minutes before and have a seat. I wouldn't count on being able to do that without the dinner package, especially around Easter. I would guess you'd need to be there at least an hour before, but even then it might be SRO.

Once we were late and had to stand in the back.
I prefer to sit on a back row-so we can exit quickly

I have always heard if you aren't doing a diinner package to get there 90 minutes before the show.

Luckily both times last year when we were there, they had two shows each night. One at 8:30 and the other at 10:00. Both 8:30 shows filled up way ahead of time so if you decide to go at that time I would recommend getting there an hour beforehand. The 10:00 was still busy but there were more seats available and we had got there about 15-20 minutes before. It is a great show no matter where you sit or stand. We even saw one show in the rain and it was still amazing.

I'm sure almost everyone would agree that 30 minutes ISN'T early enough for a first show (but could work for a second show, which is always less crowded) -- ESPECIALLY on a super-busy week like Easter week.

It could easily be a "sold-out" show by 45 minutes before show time.

DItto above PP's....

WHich is why I always recommend the F! Dinner package...

I've done it with H&V and have ADR's for HBD for May...

Why not pay for a meal to save time "not waiting" for Fantasmic...meaning more time for more attractions and rides in DHS? Just my thought....

Hugs,
Mary

My thought as well, but now I wonder how late the park will be open if there are 10 p.m. shows?

Well when we go to WDW3/29- 4/4 Fantasmic is at 8:30 every night. That's the only time I've seen. Same thing with Spectro at the MK for example....it's only once. We tried to get a fantasmic dinner pkg however there is nothing available at all when we go. So, I guess we'll play it by ear. I've seen the show many times, but my hubby has not. Maybe the baby would be too afraid for it any way.....

We did the Dinner Package and showed up at 8pm through a special entrance and were seated in a section roped off from the rest of the crowd (without package).

Even better was when they let us out at the end we got to exit through the special way we came in, and avoided the mass of the crowds. The exit we took brings you back out right to the very front of the park so we were closer to the buses.

Dont count on your 1 year old lasting through the whole thing. I took my 4 year old and he was a basket case from 9pm on...and fell asleep on the bus.

That is no longer the case.

They do not allow guests to exit through to the front of the park.

Now, all exit paths lead back to Sunset Blvd.

The current "Dining Pkg. Entrance" and the "auxiliary exit path"
are the same pathway (orange line on the map,) that terminates on Sunset Blvd.

Robo, true or false......if you do the dinner package you aren't technically restricted to the "roped off seating"???

You may sit ANYWHERE in the theater that still has any open seats.

The difference is that if you have the DP voucher and arrive when the rest of the theater is FULL,
you may still find a seat in the DP section.

But, even if you DO have the DP voucher, if you arrive too close to show-time (say, less than 30-35 min, before show-time) you may not find ANY seats, as the CM's will return the DP seating to "general admission" (walk-ins) about a half-hour (give or take) before show-time.
