For those that have been there - is it possible to attend the 8:30 Fantasmic and also see the Frozen Fireworks? I know we wouldn't have prime viewing for the pre-show but can it be done? We have never seen Fantasmic (1st year at HS rained out then last year busy dancing at the Monsters Homecoming party and missed the first show and kids crashed before the 2nd). I know they won't make the 2nd showing again this year because we will be at HS from early on for a breakfast ADR.

I'm trying to decide if on Saturday, our arrival day, we should head to HS (right now set to go to MK but we have 3 other days there) in the evening to try and catch a few things and watch the fireworks and then next Thursday when we are there stick with our Fantasmic package or try to catch both in one day.

Any helpful thoughts or experiences is greatly appreciated!

Yes, this.

This exit takes you along a path that leads toward the main exit at the front of the park. They will be directing people to exit the park. However both times I separated from the exiting crowd to find a spot to stand in the street. Both times I was there in plenty of time (5-10 minutes) before the fireworks started. And one night fantasmic started late due to weather and I still got there before the fireworks started.

The beginning of the street looking toward the hat is actually a great place to view the fireworks. It is actually a really great view of the fireworks.

One caveat I was only with adults so we could walk pretty fast even through the crowd. But even with youngsters in tow I think you should be able to catch most of the fireworks display.

We went to the 9:00pm show Saturday night and walked down to the main street as soon as it was over and got a spot infront of the big screen they have set up.

We watched the preshow on the big screen and then the fireworks. We enjoyed it!
