More advice needed please. :)

We're only going to be at the park for 2 days and want to maximise our time at DL, so which of these options would you recommend for the best Fantasmic and Fireworks experience?

**************

Option 1

Sunday, Nov 13

9pm - Watch Fantasmic with Balcony Seating & Dessert Buffet
9:25pm - Remain in seats to watch Remember... fireworks
10pm-11pm - Go on some rides (during second Fantasmic show)
Park closes at 11pm

Tuesday, Nov 15

6pm-6:30pm - Stake out a good spot at the hub
7pm - Parade of Dreams
7:45pm - Remember... Fireworks
Park Closes at 8pm

Option 2

Sunday, Nov 13

3:15pm or 7pm - Parade of Dreams
8:45pm - Stake out a good spot at the hub
9:25pm - Watch Remember... fireworks and make way to Rivers of America
10:30pm - Try to get a decent spot and watch Fantasmic
Park closes at 11pm

Tuesday, Nov 15

Rides all afternoon/evening (instead of Fantasmic and Fireworks)

Ok... so there are the choices. Which would you do? One thing to keep in mind is I plan to record the fireworks etc on my camcorder, so I guess Option 1 would give me a couple of different viewpoints to work with when post-editing.

Also, what are the chances that one of the fireworks shows would be cancelled due to high winds or bad weather? I'm a little worried about taking Option 1 if the Tuesday fireworks is called off.

Lastly, Sunday will likely be more crowded as it is the Veterans Day weekend.

Thanks in advance!

I would choose option 1, but skip the fireworks from the desert buffet if you're going to watch them the 2nd night from the hub - ride rides instead during the fireworks to get shorter lines! As far as the weather - we always went in Nov as a kid and never had the fireworks canceled - but hey - anything can happen!

I vote Option 2. Plus, it gives you some flexibility should something be cancelled on Sunday because of weather.

The chances of fireworks/Fantasmic being cancelled during the fall is pretty high because that's when we get our Santa Ana winds and they are pretty nasty.

Also the fireworks won't run on Tuesday, as that is still considered the off seasonand are only running Fri and Sat during the off season and Fantasmic is will be running Fri.-Sun.

All subject to change, but as fo the moemnt that is what I would plan on happening during those dates.

And Yes, Nov. is a prime time for the fireworks to be canceled, as a Kid this never happened, but now they cancel them at the drop of a hat due to DOSH.

Thanks for the input everyone!

AFMom - I thought we'd actually save time by doing the Desert Buffet, because that way we won't have to get there super-early to find a good spot to view Fantasmic.

cmwade77 - My plans are based around the schedule posted at www.disneyland.com which indicates that there will be a fireworks show on both days.

Has anyone seen the fireworks from the Fantasmic Balcony Seating area? It's still enjoyable to watch from there, right?
