We always play at Winter Summerland after a day at Blizzard Beach. Since it's only Typhoon Lagoon this year, we're thinking of maybe heading to Fantasia instead after a resort pool day. Do we really need to make a reservation for a "tee" time?

Depending on when you go and how busy it is, a tee time can be helpful. We’ve been and walked right up, another time we waited an hour. Since then we book just to be sure we don’t have to wait again.

How do you reserve a tee time for mini golf? I didn’t realize that was even an option…

It is really hit or miss for how busy it can be. Like @scrappinginontario said, I have gone right up but most times I will have to wait for the Fantasia Gardens (traditional mini golf) versus Fantasia Fairways (traditional golf course but on a mini golf scale).

If you want Fantasia Fairways, I probably would "wing it" without a reservation.

If you want Fantasia Gardens, I would make a reservation just to be on the safe side.

As PP as said, it can be luck of the draw. It has also been our experience to sometimes having no wait, and sometimes it being an hour wait. If you know when you want to go I’d just make that reservation. I called the (407) WDW-PLAY number.

Mmm, sounds like I will have to figure out a time and give them a call. I was going to play it by ear for the day and depending on the weather etc travel over there but also don't want an hour wait. :scratchin:scratchin:scratchin

About how long does it take to walk from IG or is it not walkable to get to Fantasia Gardens putt putt? Never been there. We usually go to Winter Summerland, but with BB closed, we thought maybe we'd consider the other place.

It is walkable, Fantasia mini golf right next to the Swan Reserve, you would use the same root. But it is a one mile walk (almost exactly), so 20-25 minutes? You could catch a Friendship boat to the Swolphin, which drops you around 1/4 mile away.

we've stayed at Swan, and we walked to both EP and HS... so it seems like a doable venture. Thank you. We have APs, which I think has an after 4pm restriction on free rounds. We have the free mini golf vouchers with our luggage tags too. Any concerns with using them there or time restrictions?

I haven't been in a long time, but if I was coming from the waterpark, I'd probably wing it, as you never know exactly when you'll feel like leaving. But if only coming from the pool, you can plan ahead a little more, so why not make the reservation and guarantee no wait?

I tried once to make a tee time and it ended in futility. Endlessly on hold.

However, just showing up and playing worked perfectly. No reservation needed. You just go out when it's your turn.

I'd say if you want to play, just go.

We played over 4th July weekend. Staying at boardwalk villas took around 10 mins to walk there. No booking was necessary, no wait at all.
