Famous People You have met While at WDW

We saw Caroline Rhea (Sabrina's aunt) at the Indiana Jones ride in DL back in 2001. She was being backdoored on the ride. I recognized her, but didn't make a fuss. I don't think anyone else knew who she was...she was just dressed in regular clothes, no makeup, etc.

Haven't seen any stars lately... but in the past I saw Joey Lawrence (long time ago, I was in LOVE with him so meeting him was madness for me) Rosie O'Donnell, Christy Carlson Romano, Nancy Kerrigan, Howey Mandel (a number of times) and the Olson twins (again a long time ago, still on Full House)...

In May of 2003, I was checking in to the BC for a business trip. I was by myself, going up to my room. I was waiting by the elevator, and a couple came and stood behind me. As the elevator opened, I began to walk on. The couple had been talking to a CM, but I was just so excited to be at WDW that I wasn't paying attention. Until, that is, I hear the CM say "Well, Mr. Eisner...." (I didn't hear anything after that). Michael and his wife got on the elevator with me!

Let's just say that I am NOT a fan of Eisner's after our meeting. All I did was say hello, and that I was very pleased to meet him. He barely acknowledged my existence. At least his wife wished me a nice trip. It's not like I was harrassing (sp?) the guy in the time it took to get to the 4th floor (Not to mention that I was 5 months pregnant, with my arms full of work papers..what was I going to do, chase him down??) :rotfl:

Later that afternoon, I was sitting in the BC lobby waiting for someone. I noticed a lot of "suits" milling around. All of a sudden, the elevator opens and Roy Disney comes out. He was wearing a suit, and seemed like he was on a mission, so I was not going to bother him. Funny thing is, as I looked around, no one else seemed to even notice him walking by. I did catch the eye of one CM, though, who noticed that I saw him, and he just gave me a "knowing" smile. :flower:

I met Jim Henson a few months before he died. My brother and I had our picture taken with him, and he did the voice of Kermit The Frog for us.

A decade or so later, my brother and I were exiting Splash Mountain when we saw adult film legend Ron Jeremy. We recognized him but Ron probably wouldn't want to be seen talking to minors. So, we looked over our shoulders and he acknowledged us, gesturing to the babe next to him.

When I was at 8TRAX in 2003, I think I might have danced with Mary Stuart Masterson from "Some Kind Of Wonderful". If it wasn't her, it was a terrific doppelganger.

Other than that, I haven't seen anybody. I still hold out hope, though.

Sincerely,

John "anotherboardnposter" Kilduff

In May of 2001, I saw Myra at Disney's California Adventure. She was shooting one of her music videos there~ "Miracles Happen" I did not talk to her, but I did take a few pictures of her while she was doing her music video.

Maybe when I go to Disney World this Sept. 2005, I will get to meet someone famous, that would be very cool!

i saw meredith viera outside millionaire. lets just say that she looks verrryyy different when she is outside and doesnt have a ton of makeup on. ;)

In October 1969 met Jimmi hendrix at Disneyland doing some filming walking down Main Street

Wow, you are my hero...... :worship:

We were waiting in line at Buzz Lightyear and my DH nudges me and says- see that guy at the back of the line...thats Tony Dorsett (sp) from the Cowboys. I spent the next 20 minutes teasing him that he was hallucinating (he's a huge cowboys fan.) I began to wonder though because I had noticed a back door open and the man was escorted in with his family. As we exited the ride, I noticed that the "guy" was waiting under a tree so I quietly approached him and asked if he would mind taking a picture with my husband. He was extremely nice. My son scooted into the picture too. My husband confiscated the film and walked around with a goofy grin the rest of the day. The picture is now framed and has a place of honor in our living room.

My brother and my DH noticed a few other pro football players who were actually currently playing in the NFL but that didn't interest them. They got the guy they wanted.

:cheer2: -This is my Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader

The Miss America contestants (before heading to Atlantic City) would be hanging out at the Yacht and Beach Club right around Labor Day weekend. I remember this because they also hung out alot at SAB :earseek: which totally messed up my pool time because there was no way in h--l was I going to sit out there in MY bathing suit by them!! Too depressing!! Seriously though, they were wonderful, and posed for pictures and signed many autographs.

This past Christmas week, we had just got out of our vehicles at Test Track, and were exiting towards the picture displays........my daughter said she could have sworn she saw John Stamos through a side door. I thought this was highly possible as I've heard he's a huge Disney fan. The rest of our family said "Yea, right". Well, we later found out he was there......I just wish I could have caught a glimpse of him.

It was John Stamos, his model wife (name I forget??) and a couple of kids & another adult. when we left dh actually spoke to him. Very handsome in person

When I was there the first time as a teen, the older brother from the Wonder Years opened the door for me at the Contemporary Resort. I thought it was him and then later saw that he was doing an appearance at MGM. Can't remember his name anymore though!

Sthronds, his name is Jason Hervey. And as I type this, the Wonder Years theme song is playing on my puter, how freaky is that?

just maybe us women on the boards will get lucky and see Johnny Depp portraying Jack Sparrow at POC...I mean the real Johnny...not some audio-animatronic figure. Wouldn't that be nice?????????????????????????? Ladies?

I don't know because they would probably arrest me from stalking him around the park and jumping on him. I would be in jail a happy person though. Man is he the greatest looking guy. :lovestruc

We saw Hulk Hogan and his family sitting on a bench outside of GF. His wife was busy talking on her cell phone, very angrily and he was playing with two younger kids. This was a couple of years ago

Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Jafar, Aladdin, Genie, Jasmine, Queen of Hearts.....

Do they count?

One of our days in the Magic Kingdom we saw Joe Piscapo (sp?) with his [young] wife and young children. We kept crossing paths with him all day. Finally, my DH said, "Get a picture of him." From a distance, I raised the camera and zoomed in and just then he looked straight at me. I felt like such a dweeb! I lowered the camera and smiled at him without ever taking the picture. Hey, it's his vacation too!
Same trip, we saw the actor who played Greg Brady in MGM studios. He was with a crew and appeared to be working on some project.

If a look alike counts there was a PI bartender who is a dead ringer for James Marsters(Spike from BTVS and Angel)

I'm so jealous. I live in New York and I have ran into many famous people, but I have never seen or met anyone in Disney World. Hopefully my next trip. For the record I won a contest through VH1 and I had the B52s play in my backyard in Staten Island, New York. I won something called VH1s big backyard barbecue and I was on stage with them and everything. Real Cool. Other celebrities I have seen and practically bumped into on the streets of New York are:

1. Madonna (years ago) made eye contact and everything. She smiled. (Saw her on several different occassions while I worked near her apartment at the time).
2. Jackie Mason. Actually talked to him. Real nice guy.
3. Lenny Kravitz. Sat next to him at a Kiss concert. Super nice.
4. Michael J. Fox. Actually did bump into him crossing the street on 72nd street but I didn't say anything.
5. Sean Penn going into a movie with Madonna (they were married at the time).
6. Dustin Hoffman jogging in central park.
7. Ashford & Simpson (sat near them at a restaurant)
8. Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of Kiss. Waited on line at Tower Records in the village to have them sign a boxed set of their CD.
9. Billy Crystal. He is the most recent. I met him after his broadway show called 700 Sundays.

There have been others I can't seem to remember at the time, but these are the ones that stand out.

I know I went off topic, but I couldn't resist.

Had to be 10-12 years ago, we bumped into Tiny Tim on Halloween night at the now defunct Fireworks Factory on Pleasure Island. He was drunk as a skunk :rotfl2:
