Famous People You have met While at WDW

On our recent trip to WDW this past December, we saw Diana Degarmo (from American idol), and the girls got her autograph. We also saw Mariah Carey.

When I was younger I was sitting on my dad's shoulders entering the GF and Danny DiVito walked out with his wife. My mom noticed him and said something, but not until we were on the monorail. Well my dad being the video man who is always taping was taping inside the grand floridian and sure enough there he was!

When I was younger I met Alladdin...sounds normal right?...wrong...the man who was playing Alladdin was Kevin Richardson from The Backstreet Boys!!! :rotfl: I only noticed when I was lookng back at pictures and took a double take and was just like :earseek: hahhaha that was a shocker

P.S. its my 200th post!!! :cheer2:

A few years back, when ER first started airing, we met George Clooney at Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney. I got his autograph and took a picture of him.

In October 1969 met Jimmi hendrix at Disneyland doing some filming walking down Main Street.

August 2000 at WDW we saw Ray Romano and his family in line for Splash Mt. No line cutting or special treatment, just waiting like everyone else.

:cool1: we met Steven Tyler and Joe Perry at the 50's prime time diner.
....UNREAL!.....we were there too......I looked up and my daughters were drooling milkshake down their chins.....I look back and here comes Stevie.....walks up and says "dude...pot pie any good?".......and I says "yea, get your own..." and didn't miss one bite......man o man were those girls mad at me. Said something about being ...disrespectful...huhh? disrespectful...."he's just the roller coaster guy, big deal".......oh was that a long couple of days..........

If Steven Tyler or Joe Perry were to walk up to me and ask me a question, I guarantee that I would be too awestruck to say a word. I'd probably babble something incomprehensible.

This last December trip we got to see Mariah Carey and Diana like somebody posted before on here. The other two surprise encounters were with Toby Keith and Joey from Nsync. I was walking by Sci fi restaurant and grabbed my teen daughter and said that is Joey (shock i knew who he was) he was going in to eat with his family so didn't even get a picture. Just wanted my teens to see him but not bother him. Then we got a picture of Toby Keith at illuminations. (well after it) I just took a picture of "hubby" but somehow Hubby didn't get in it and Toby Keith was zoomed up from the background of what I was shooting! (Didn't wnat to look like we recognized him) We had overheard a CM telling his grandma to go to meet him so we just folowed her! and took the picture from a distance. :goodvibes I wonder how many stars we walk right by on our trips.

I would make such an idiot out of myself if I saw George Clooney in person. I'd probably pee in my pants, drool, and then faint.

Last time we went we were swimming in the pool at the beach club. I came down the slide- looking like a fool and when I got up sitting on the side of the pool was Jeraldo Rivera. You couldn't miss him. He was not in a bathing suit- fully dressed(no tie but pretty dressy to me)-

You mean Rhea Perlman (aka Carla from Cheers) I believe you can officially count that as 2 celebrities!!!

not me personally, but my friends have some good stories - one was working at epcot several years ago, giving directions to a man and his family, and she said "by the way sir, did anyone ever tell you you look like nathan lane?" he whispered "i AM nathan lane....SHHHHH!" he had a baseball cap on and was trying very hard to go unnoticed.
another friend ran into michael jackson in the tunnels under MK around that same time. she said he had a big group of people surrounding him and was picking who he wanted to talk to. she was just trying to walk by because she's not a big fan or anything but he waved her over to talk to him! she didn't know what to say so she just said "hi michael jackson, how are you?" and he said "don't call me michael jackson, call me MJ!" :rotfl:

My DH and I were coming out of the Beauty and the Beast Show at MGM about 7 years ago and I saw Roy Disney!!!!(Walt's Nephew) He was with other park officials checking things out. I went up to him to shake his hand and got a great picture of the three of us!!!
Funny thing, he was smoking and when I went up to him he just flicked his cigarette in the bushes, not very Disney like :confused3
Nobody else seemed to know who he was, we were the only ones to approach him.

My husband saw her on Tower of Tower in August of 03 (I'm pretty sure that was when he saw her) while waiting for my daughter to come off.

The next day we met a family who had seen Eddie Murphy earlier that week.

I personally have never seen anyone famous at WDW.

just maybe us women on the boards will get lucky and see Johnny Depp portraying Jack Sparrow at POC...I mean the real Johnny...not some audio-animatronic figure. Wouldn't that be nice?????????????????????????? Ladies?

The opening day of Star Tours in Jan. 1990 we saw Micheal Eisner, George Lucas and Jim Henson. Jim was sitting on the ground with a little green leg under his arm and his back to me. I said to my girlfriend - Who is that? and he turned around stuck Kermit in my face and said Hi in his Kermie voice. I totally FREAKED out screaming like a lunatic! I actually ran into the MEN's room and jumped on my DH's back and all these guys are zipping up fast in the urinals. When we got back he was surrounded by security, my gf was peeing her pants laughing. I'm a huge muppets fan! It was funny because I had just got done yelling at my two friends to stop yelling HI to George Lucas and MIcheal Eisner because I used to work at a place where I saw a lot of famous folks and they don't like that out in public. My girlfriend said - Way to be cool.

I'm really impressed with Ray Romano waiting in line like normal folk!!

I walked by Chevy Chase at the Tower of Terror years back. He's HUGE and had a hat pulled over his eyes. He was being led through a seperate entrence. I was sure it was him because he had held an interview that day that we sat and watched.

Also, during our honeymoon, my wife and I stayed at the Grand Floridian and we were in the concierge lounge in the main building. Now I'm not a huge Bear Naked Laddies fan, but my wife is. The signer guy was there with his family. Not the dark haired one... the other one. We were surprised that he didn't have Disney suites all around him. One did come up and make sure everything was ok, bu then left him alone. He was dressed completely normal. I didn't want an autograph because he was on vacation and I felt wierd. For my wife's sake, I regret it now. At least we got to ride the elevator down with him.

PS. Double digit dance!!! :cool1: :dancer: :jumping2:

Just had to chime in - I live near the Aerosmith boys and see them around town occasionally going about their daily lives. Once while we were grocery shopping at midnight ST and his wife were there, too. DH, who prefers radio talk shows to music, walked right past him but had no idea who he was, LOL. Last time I saw him was at a local fair. I almost literally ran into JK coming out of a drugstore. He smiled at me. No, I don't say anything "fanlike" to them, I figure they get enough of that everywhere else! :cool1:

Both of the celebs I saw was while I was working, once at Magic Kingdom and for the life of me I can't remember his name, I know they are brothers and they did a sit-com a while back. He was hosting the Easter parade. The other one was Vanessa Williams at MGM (she looked horrible!!)

Amanda

P.S. While I was working GMR I heard that Roy Disney was in the studios and with the hopes that he would not only ride GMR, but ride my show, I stayed on my vehicle through probably 6 or 7 rotations. My fellow CM's loved me!! :goodvibes

I saw a Johnny look-a-like at the Beach Club last year. I was just there visiting for the day and just happened to get lost trying to find Beaches n' Cream (extremely lost!). A guy came out of his room, I swear he looked Johnny Depp!! I never said anything to him, since I was so lost it didn't seem right to add to my humiliation! With all my luck it could've been him!
