Famous people you have met on your cruise?

They filmed an episode of 'According to Jim' when we sailed last January. Saw the cast constantly and spent some time in Diversions with Jim Belushi and Larry Joe Campbell. ( along with about 75 other cruisers and crew members)...Mark

Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown were on a cruise prior to mine a couple of years ago. There were postings here at the time about folks who encountered them in the clubs at night.

Paige Davis (host of Trading Spaces) was on our cruise. The talk of the cruise was how unfriendly she was, couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge someone saying 'hi' or holding a door.

Mickey,Goofy and the rest of the gang... :cool1:

So were you the one who said that you caught a glimpse of yourself at the sailaway party in the episode?? The one in the yellow shirt??

We were on the same cruise as a poster abover concerning Paige Davis and her husband, Patrick Page, who is starring on Broadway in THE LION KING.

Maybe it was how we approached her, or how she approached us actually,
(I got pulled up on stage to perform with Freddy Fusion) and she stopped us in the hallway on the way to dinner and told me what a great job I did and how funny I was....but we saw them all over the ship, the whole week, and she could not have been any nicer and sweeter to us. My DD's middle name is Paige and every time she saw DD she called her by both names...she even came over and talked to us in Palo the last night of the cruise, she came to Bingo one session and she was carrying on just like the rest of us, because she didn't win anything, just like the rest of us in the area we were sitting in.

If you treat the "famous" people as regular people, like they want to be treated on a vacation, then they will respond to you in a positive way.

This was just our experience......

Deb Wills ..... of allearsnet.com. princess:

And someone who played the Beast with one of the touring companies, but I can't remember his name. I think he was in the Toronto cast.

Lourdes of Cove Cafe fame..... we were on the cruise getting off as Jim Belushi and friends were getting on. Lourdes and many other cast members were very excited to have the show shot onboard.

The talk show host Ricki Lake (I think that is how you
spell her name) and her children.

She was very very nice and we had nice seas.

I was also on the Paige Davis and Patrick Page cruise. DD was a huge fan of Paige when we were on the cruise. We sat behind them during one of the shows, she was funny and friendly. Huge plus for DD!

I work in the Motion Picture Television Industry. I have learned that if people treat you like a normal person. I will treat them as one.
Here is a hint. I am a huge Patriots Fan and Red sox Fan

Who ever Kdicey is, he's from Boston. Let me ask you this, Kdicey, do you like Ipswich clams with the bellies?? Ever since I left the Nahth Shoah I sure miss them.

Kdicey,I guess youre not Ben Affleck or Matt Damon...2 good ole Boston boys....born in '64 with a kid will definitely not make you either of these guys....

I do love clams with bellies. My favorites are from Kelly's. OK I am not a movie star but I am very famous to the stars. I am executive with motion Picture and television Union. I am very active at the award shows that is why I need a vacation.

I work with the main stream stars on a day to day basis. let me tell you thier biggest regret about being a star is that they can no longer live the "normal" life.

I have had many dinners and social events with friends in the industry. Its a major pain in a.. when people run up and yell. I would suggest if you see someone that you think is a star , act like its the parent of one of the kids from your school. Just wave I bet next time they see you they will remember that you were cool to them and buy you a drink or a prosche .

Many of my friends are very much disney NUTS. They travel on DCL very often.
