She's Gonna Party, A June 2025 Copper Creek PTR

Wow, time is flying by. We are at 61 days till our trip and that means I call for ADRs tomorrow morning!

I will probably still be snoozing

Those early morning ADR calls are always interesting. I get up at 2:45 AM with a prioritized list in order with the ones that I think will be harder to get first. Then it gets interesting when I have to make a decision when we can’t get the time or meal that we are looking for. I make some guesses at what might be good to try for, and fit stuff in, but again I have to resist the urge to squeeze too much in.

We went through the calendar and found where we can fit the ADRs in, without over-scheduling. That means we don’t have as many meals scheduled as we could, but that should leave time for more spontaneity.

Something we really enjoyed last trip were our last minute ADRs. We were able to check out two new restaurants and loved them both. I’m hoping we can do some more of that this trip.

Our prioritized list is:

1. Homecomin Brunch (it fits the schedule so we just gotta try)

2. Topolino Dinner. (We loved it before, it’s time to try it again. Here's our 2020 visit)

3. Teppan Edo for dinner (Because the filet…)

4. Boma Dinner (Why not if we have a car? Besides, our last visit here was in 2016!)

5. Boathouse Lunch (Kicking it off right on our first full day.)

6. Yak and Yeti Early Lunch (If we’re going to AK, we might as well eat well)

With only 5 nights, that’s it for our ADRs. That leaves us chances for quick serve lunches or walk in table service meals.

You have always done great in your choices and I think we’ve only ever canceled 2 ADRs ever.

While we were finalizing plans tonight I mentioned we could have a great trip of meals that “just missed” the cut. This time it appears that Sci Fi Drive In, Liberty Tree, and Wailulu Bar and Grill will have to wait on the standby list.

I don’t think we told everyone we decided to go ahead and do the park hopper tickets. When we left off last we hadn’t decided but I think it’ll be good flexibility to have.

Yes, we are thinking three days of park hoppers, starting after our HS party day, and we'll take one off day before our final park day. Hopefully it will be a plan.

It’ll definitely be interesting only having 3 days of park tickets, we’ve never had that few before but going to the after hours party should be a ton of fun and a great way to do the things that we want to do in that park most efficiently.

Whatever we do will be fun, and hopefully we get to choose some spontaneous things that will make it even better. We can't wait to see (and share) how it works out.

You reminded me that our ADR day is in a few days. We haven't planned any of that stuff yet.

Park hoppers work very well when the restaurants are in the park, or very easily accessible. :)

Yeah, sometimes it kind of sneaks up on you.

Getting the ADRs went very well this morning. I got everything we wanted, and had my choice of times, even for Homecomin brunch. I did try to push my luck and see if I could get Sci Fi drive in on our party night, but there was no availability. Oh well, we’ll save our party time and eat at a QS location that night.

We booked both Yak and Yeti and Teppan Edo on the same day, so I guess park hoppers are on the agenda.

Man I forget about the time our Pacific coast friends have to make ADRs :crazy2: - random question... are you too excited to go back to sleep LOL. I think I would be.

I think SciFi is one of the hardest ADR's to get.
It has been tough for us before, but was the only one we had any issues with this time.

In my experience, once ADR day hits time flies by! Your choices look great.
Yes, exactly! And with all of the things going on with work and the end of the school year we should stay busy and hopefully the time will fly right by.

Yeah, it is earrrrly. When it falls on a weekend day I stay up a little while longer, but on a weekday I’m usually tired enough to get back to sleep. The thing that keeps me up is when there’s a last minute decision or conflict that I have to deal with. Fortunately this time everything went well and I was back in bed by 3:25.

This morning while we were enjoying an off weekend from track and field, and watching our usual Disney Food Blog videos on Sunday morning, I decided to shop for our park tickets. I had looked up pricing from Disney earlier in the week, and was expecting to be in the $2400 range. I was excited to see the half price kids ticket offer through undercover tourist, and we were able to get our tickets for $1930.

I jumped on it and made our last major pre-purchase of this year’s trip.

This means we're actually going! We've got 50 jam packed days left to go but we are all looking forward to the trip.

And we did confirm the park hoppers, at least for three days of the trip. It should be a nice set up.

We have at least 6 track meets left along with end of the year banquets and activities.

We are gonna be busy! At least we have Disney to look forward to as soon as we make it through the school year.

Having park hoppers should be so nice for flexibility because while we only have one day planned at Magic Kingdom I bet we find ourselves there on another day as well.

That's one of the great things about WL, we'll be close enough to hop back over some night, and I bet we do.

We are going to have so much fun.

In other Disney related stuff, we saw that Boathouse turned 10 yesterday. How is that even possible?

I guess it took us a while to catch on, and we have been going for quite a while now, but it has definitely secured a spot in our must do list, and will be a first day restaurant for us this time, actually our first ADR of the trip.

I wonder when our first Boathouse Trip was though because I bet we were there pretty early.

I just looked it up via the old trip reports, and it was September 2018 that we first tried it. It has been part of every trip since.

It did take a minute to convince you it would be something good to try. I also think it used to be a double credit meal on the dining plan which would have shied us away from it.

Exactly, I remember not being excited about it since I figured it was a fish place. The amphicars looked cool though and contemplating the Smores baked Alaska got me in. That’s still something we haven’t done.

Do they even still do that?

I just checked online and it says they do. I don't see having enough room for it though after a nice meal there.

This is true, we do pretty good on finding good treats when we want them.

And there's no shortage of desserts at Disney Springs, or Disney in general. I plan to be full of filet mignon sliders.

And pimento cheese.

Mmmmm Hmmmm

Anyway, that's about all for now. Thanks for following along and we'll pop in as we can between high jumps and elevator trouble calls.

You got a really good deal on tickets. Timing is everything when it comes to finding bargains. :)

I'm kind of surprised that Boathouse House has only been there for ten years! We are skipping it on our June trip.

We are glad that some sort of deal showed up that we could take advantage of. There is also a deal on three day park tickets where you get one park per day, but no MK. That wasn’t very exciting for us.

Yeah it is definitely a landmark now, but it still feels new to us. Disney Springs still feels “new” to us. I guess time flies.
