EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Glad to help. I know it's a small thing, but it's important to me as well. Often too, the dishware is actually pretty, I love that the desserts (picturing Cr right now) often come in cut little sample size dishes. The cobbler at WL was delicious, and love cobbler...but we all missed the cute dishes. :confused3 It's also really just so nice to be able to get snacks and drinks without having to wait in line. I'm not even big on soft drinks. ******************* Food allergies: As far as I recall, the lounges always have plenty of non shellfish options: cheese/veggie trays, bread/crackers, often a salad each day. By salad I mean something like tomato basil mozzarella salad, not dressed iceberg. (Only exception I recall was CSR) Dips are also common, like hummus. I also recall AKL having Boma's squash soup. Every day the line also has two hot items. If one is seafood/shellfish, the other is not. At least as far as I recall. Another item I've seen a number of times are bacon wrapped scallops, and crab Rangoon. If you are concerned about allergies, then most certainly talk to the staff. Each lounge handles them slightly differently, but they will send a chef to talk about your dietary needs if you request one. Sometimes they will just tell you which foods you want to avoid (or maybe that all breakfast items are shellfish free). Other times they may offer you a substitute item, or a packaged item (like a bag of chips that's sealed).

Curious which resort CL you like best in the Epcot area?

Hi everyone!!! I just registered for the Princess Half Marathon in February...:scared1: It is my first race over a 5k so I am a little frightened.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I am coming with one of my friends and we are making it a girls weekend. We were originally going to have 3 people but one had to drop.

Right now we are booked at BWI 2 bedroom suite CL. I am wondering now that we are 2 if they are some other options I am not thinking of. One thing that is important to my friend is to have her own bedroom because she worries she will snore and keep me up.:rotfl2::rotfl2: And the other important thing is to be able to have CL. I am not sure I want to try and risk BC because of all the renovations that were taking place on their club level.

I am open to others suggestions and would greatly appreciate them.

Thanks so much!!:cool1:

HI HGBdancermom!

I stayed in the Garden Suites, which are all CL, in 2013 with 4 adults. They only allow 2 people to stay at a time so it might work for you guys. They are adorable! The one we had had a king or queen bed upstairs and a surprisingly comfy pull out couch downstairs. My mom snores terribly :rotfl: & we had no issues with it sleeping downstairs.
There is also a very nice jetted bathtub and steps away to the quiet pool which also has a hot tub! very nice after long days at the park...and a long day of running I would assume!
I think they even just got a refurb :)

This was at BW right? For some reason I was thinking that they didn't get CL. Thanks

Hey gang!!!!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Sorry I've been MIA, we've had a crazy busy summer! After Disney the kids went to camp for a week, then I went to Kentucky to visit my Mom, then Mom came back home with me to visit and we took the kids to Great Wolf Lodge last week to celebrate the 4th. Now my oldest is in summer school and I just can't seem to slow summer down! Summer school ends July 28th and my oldest has mandatory marching band camp starting August 4th so by some MIRACLE beyond miracles we've been able to squeeze in a short Florida trip at the end of this month! :thumbsup2 2 nights at BWI CL so we can go to the Frozen Summer Fun and then 3 nights Royal Pacific so we can see the new Diagon Alley! :wizard: This is also my oldest son's 15th birthday!!!!! :woohoo: By the time we get back summer will be over for us with school starting back August 11th. I can't wait to report back all the new things we get to see!!! :cloud9:

Before I answer, I maybe have unique criteria. A nice view is great, but I really appreciate an efficient layout. Staff is also important. Food, IMO is similar in most CL's. Theming is great, but I realize not my top priority.

BC! The staff is superb!!!! We've also had great luck with room location close to the lounge. Our Standard view rooms nice enough. Love room décor, gardens, pool, location. Downside is the (eh!) indoor QS and no view from lounge.

YC is second. The staff was also quite nice. The food/décor are similar. Same pool. Slightly quieter than BC.

BWK is third. My experience was tainted by having a room at very far end of the hall. Very far, huge resort. Nice theming! Main pool okay, cool slide, too deep. Flying Fish great, outdoors area great. Big plus of BWk is ease to Epcot and HS, and brew pub is non ADR. Love the shops! Art store is a must to see!

(Our overall fave CL is CR Atrium Bay Lake view. Boring pool, variable staff, old hotel w/broken elevators. Good food, view of the lake is great! Best of all, ease of getting around, watching Wishes from lounge, water parade. Funny.)

For a week, ideal is split stay between BC and CR.

Why are my posts so long?!?! It was an easy one word question. Sigh. Bad me!

The Dolphin has 24 hour dining (what used to be called Tubby's Buffeteria. That name was so bad, it always made us laugh. now it's stuck in my head.) Love the shops! Art store is a must to see! I agree we loved CR Atrium CL as well the view from the lounge is beautiful and on our stay the staff was fabulous. The BC does sound great but unfortunately no CL available during our most current stay. We are staying at AKL CL for 10 nights and GF RP for 4 nights this November. I'm looking towards booking another trip with my family and thought an Epcot stay at YC CL or BC CL would be perfect with the grandkids since the pool area is spectacular. I'm hoping since we are staying in mid November they'll be a nice bounce back offer for summer of 2015 ... Guess I'll have to wait and hope : ) by your recommendations it seems like BC CL would be a better fit for us. But then the view from CR CL that is special so special too. Umm have to think a bit and maybe asked the rest of my family. One thing I am dreading is the heat in the summer but the grandkids have school so not many choices unless we go for Easter or Christmas and the crowds are bad so I guess will take the heat of summer.

Thanks so much and I can't answer in one word either so I was happy to read your opinions : )

Thanks for the great advice everyone!! :thumbsup2 I should add that this is only going to be a quick 3 night stay at RPC or SL to celebrate my birthday, my 50th  So I have to go big! :woohoo: My husband is kind of getting adamant about going someplace else next summer for our official summer vacations....but we usually just do Disney and Myrtle Beach. Oh well...have to start changing things up.

I think I'm really leaning toward RPC. Although the location of the SL building to the pool and boat transportation sounds, and of course lesser price sound very good...This is something that I've always been curious about, so I think I'm going to just go for it this time! I just hope I don't miss Yacht Club and the Epcot area, but who knows...this could be the start of something new! ;) (Liking the MK area resorts, not staying RPC everytime - don't want to go broke!)

Ah- a good question- Does anyone know if RPC is available with the discounts should any become available?
I just celebrated my EEK birthday at poly CL with my dd compliments of dh:goodvibes

I did try RPC at gf with dh last November for a weekend and I loved it!!!

I was able to get one night with a discount on cheaptickets and 2 nights with passholder discount.

I have been watching orbitz and they have had some good discounts. Disneys 30% will combine with their 15% off sale. I found RPC for $458 a night in mid September for example. My mom wants nov or dec so I am watching so I can tell when I find a truly good deal:thumbsup2

Try REVIEW15 (I did a review) on orbitz and see if it works for you. Someone on the boards gave me a 20% code last spring and that really helped me.

You are welcome.:)

In November, the weather can be a bit chilly, so likely the pool is not as much a benefit. Even last August, surprise- we were chilly while at the top of the slide. Go figure!

In cooler months, I'd give a bonus to a resort like AKL, where the building shelters the pool, and there's a very short walk from the pool to the resort.

YC is almost the same as BC, I initially wrote "close second" but edited for brevity. A big part of YC getting second place is simply that we've styed at BC more times. The service has been so super, we just repeat. I would if BC is not available, I'd totally pick YC again.

HEY!!! I feel like you do....:rotfl2: How is the summer almost over? Didn't it just start!!!!

I wish we didn't start school back until after Labor day! That's the way it is for most people.

If anyone is curious to see the new BWI CL rooms and lounge pics there are some over on the BWI FAQ thread! :thumbsup2 Looks nice! :goodvibes I will be sure to take more pics too.

Hi there! I have a weird question... I will be staying at Sugar Loaf at the end of our split stay for 5 nights in Nov, but my parents will only be with us on our trip for the first part while we are still at Beach Club.. since we will be eating dinner at GF on of the nights they are there, do you think that if I showed proof that we are going to be staying in SL a week later, they would let me show my mom around a little bit? I wanted her to see where we will be staying and see what she thinks for a future trip, but I didn't know how the staff would feel about that????

You can just ask for a tour of SL. If it's not too busy and a CM is available, they would be more than happy to show you around :).

Do club level guests still get the special key to the world card? Or is it now all magicband?

From what I understand, KTTW cards aren't given out automatically, but any guest can request one. With that said, I have heard the gold cards that were once given to CL guests were being phased out and all cards are now the same.

I have been given a gold (but blank) KTTW card twice in the past year (once in March, once in June). Both times, my room wasn't ready at check in, and the MB won't access the CL elevators/building unless you've opened the door to your room first. This is the current work-around.
