EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

It's particularly relaxing at BWI, where there are a few tables for two along the edges of the lounge. :)

I agree so much. What was nice about the BWI was that there were tables for two right outside the room. Not sure if it is like that anymore - but it was nice and private. We love sitting in the CL room at night when the kids were getting ready for bed. Our two oldest are teenagers - so that helps with the younger ones.

The standard rooms in CL are exactly the same as in the rest of the resort. I don't think with 4 people they will let you book a King bed? So you'll have to book the 2 queen beds. You'll get 2 queens & possibly a day bed. Not all rooms have the day bed.

I agree. With 4 people you really need 2 queens. When we were checking in to the BWI CL last year though they were completely sold out of queen bed rooms. I still can't figure out how that happens when we had reservations for months but that's a diffiernt story. They offered us a king room inside the Inkeeper's Club doors, and agreed to move us as soon as a queen bedroom opened up. That just wasn't going to work though. Our kids are small but they need beds of their own....and so do I!! Anyway, we decided to take a queen room right outside the CL doors and it was perfect. The view was lovely and everyone was comfortable. It in no way negatively impacted our experience. Just thought I would share since I am sure this is rare, but can happen :)

Hi everyone!
Okay, another question. My 2 girlfriends and I are doing the Disney half marathon next feb. Would you choose YC Deluxe CL or BW deluxe CL. Or just YC CL GV. It will be three adults. I don't know much about the Deluxe rooms. Thanks
:cool1:

I don't know anything about the YC deluxe CL, but the BW one would be good. You'd have the two queens and the pull out sofa, and lots of room. No bed sharing required.

We r staying akl cl next week. The cast members on the phone did a big favor for me last week for an Easter thing for my kids. I know the cast members can't take money. Any ideas of what I should do? Will whatever I do go to everyone or should I seek out that person personally? Also anyone have how many cm's run the lounge so I can do something for them. Again do I need to give something to each personally or do they share whatever I give?

Any detailed info would be great causeI'm at a list here.

Thanks
Jim

Is there something unique that originates in your home area? For instance, Moon Pies were created and are still made here. I'm planning to take a box of them down to leave with the CL staff when we go later this summer.

I'm not sure about how they handle the group gift so I'm curious to see what others say myself. I have the impression they share but I don't have any definite knowledge.

I was thinking the same thing but with a local chocolate place around here. I really just wanted to make sure I thought of everyone so that I'm interested in too.

I've heard that the CL CM's put group gifts like chocolates in their break room to share.

One thing to consider is that the CM's you deal with at the IPO ahead of time are not the same CM's at the actual CL, so unfortunately, you don't meet those people that did you the favor.

ok I found out something from a friend today. They said I can give the lounge cm's something but also give them something else for the ipo office and it will get to them since in a diff area? Any thoughts.

CM's in IPO are so nice!!!

I got a great lady to help me today!

She found a BBB in MK appointment for a day that BBB CM told me was gone on Sunday... and a CRT reservation for dinner at 8:30pm (hey, it's not at 10:25pm) so either a slot or two opened up or some other pixiedust like event occurred!

Now we can switch our "big" MK day from Sunday to Wednesday... and some other nice things will be able to fall into place... I'm a happy girl!

Specifically pertaining to YC:

Do items offered at breakfast, snack, dessert, vary from day to day? I'm getting the impression that there are a few standard items, but some items vary? Or is it the same everything each day?

Well the last 5 summers it has been the same. Rumor has it they are testing new things now but sounding the same to me. Phyllo dough every night - either egg roll or crab ragoon or some pork thing....breakfast is the same, snacks the same and last year the desserts were really skimpy. Sounds the same for this year as well. I am booked this June and sort of regretting it...

Can anyone who recently visited BWI CL tell me what they are serving at the innkeepers lounge lately.

Thx

As far as I know there haven't been any changes. At BC CL last month they has pork on a stick one night in place of chicken. Small things like that happen sometimes. But nothing major. :)

We haven't seen any significant changes the last 3 years.

Just wanted to mention that IPO (particularly Omar at BC/YC/BWI) has been wonderful in the past! One thing we try to do after every trip is send disney guest communications and/or the general manager of the resort a detailed, specific e-mail praising individual CMs (by name) who went above and beyond. We include specific examples of what the CM (or CMs) did to make our stay wonderful. A resort CM friend advised that this information goes into their personnel files (or Disney equivalent) and can help with compensation and promotion issues. On a couple occasions, we've brought along a few treats, but given the advice from our CM friend, we focus on the messages to guest communications. I also think it must be nice for the CMs in guest communications, who might also receive a lot of complaints to sift through and address!

Same in February at BWI CL, although some of the gummy candy in the afternoon was different. While I don't love the appetizers at BWI, I mostly select the cheeses and veggies anyway, so that's OK. (Poly appetizers were wonderful on the non-fried foods day - sushi, tuna, salad - YUM!) But one thing I love about the Epcot resorts is the hard boiled eggs. Love strawberries and hard boiled eggs for breakfast, and missed the eggs at Poly last month.

I do wonder if the BWI lounge offerings will change when Kouzzina leaves . . . I'll report back in January!

P.S. Marathon Weekend registration opened for AP holders today! Not booking GF and BWI yet, but at least I'm registered for the marathon!
