Exchanging My AP DVC Voucher for MYW

I purchased an AP with the DVC discount several months ago. I have the voucher, and had every intent of exchanging it for an Annual Pass this Thanksgiving. However, our travel plans next year will take us to Disneyland on points instead of WDW so the Annual Pass is no longer financially the best way to go. I am assuming I can take my voucher up to any ticket window and get a credit toward a 10 day MWY with No Expiration instead. We will only have 5 park days for our next trip in Nov. Can someone correct me if I am wrong. Thanks

83 Days 19 Hours 4 Minutes till vacation!

I know they allow Upgrades but going from AP to MYW does not sound like an upgrade, if they do not allow it you can always sell or save for a future time that you will make multiple trips during the year.

I know that is the policy with an actual ticket, but this is the voucher.

My understanding is that the vouchers are like a gift certificate. You can use them to get a MYW ticket if you like. However, Disney will not refund any "leftover" value, so be sure what you want costs more than the value of the voucher. You can pay out of pocket for any difference.

Not all the CMs know how to do these type of transactions, so you might have to ask for a Supervisor. My advice is to do the transaction at the MarketPlace Guest Relations Office in Downtown Disney. The CMs there seem to be the most knowledgable and helpful with the less common requests.

Best wishes-

Since you are DVC members and will be going to WDW for years to come, why not keep the vouchers and use them in a future year? They will never be as cheap as they are now, so you will be saving in the long run.
