I have hosted several different birthday parties for my kids. It ranged from around thirty people, all the way to about or over 100 people. We make all kinds of different foods, desserts, drinks, and we always order a cake. I plan out 1-3 different games or activities for the kids to do, and they can always play with this, and that around here.

What different ways do you prepare shrimp? Do you have any recipes you could share?

Sorry Patsy we don't eat shrimp a lot and when we do i buy the frozen. I just put it in a bowl of hot water to thaw and heat through and serve with cocktail sauce.

I only have one way also. Shrimp has been frozen at least once by the time it reaches here. I used to buy it at the fish counter at the grocery store but got tired of shelling and deveining it. Plus it made my kitchen smell fishy. So now I buy it frozen, already shelled/deveined and ready to cook.

How it prepare it is I melt a stick of margarine in a casserole dish, then sprinkle some garlic salt or powder on the margarine. I place the thawed shrimp in the casserole dish and broil it for two minutes, turn it over and broil for another two minutes. We eat it over rice. Very simple and quick.

I like shrimp cocktail. Will have to try it your way Kirby.

Shrimp is one of my favorites. Shrimp tempura, deep fried shrimp, shrimp with maynaise, kim chee shrimp poke, ...... going to make a shrimp casserole, and also we have these bigger shrimp that are a bit on the sweet side, so we will season them, and toss them on the grill for the party.

One of my pet peeves when attending a party is.................there is only soda to drink and no water!

This weekend, I ..................will go yard saling and do house chores...

When I eat spaghetti............I eat it with butter bread.

The last time.............I went to DisneyWorld was in 2010!

For Halloween...........we will decorate the yard and give out candy.

Am I making more out of this than it really is? Sorry I missed the last couple of QOTD; I've been busy... Happy Birthday to Brandon too!

One of my pet peeves when attending a party is... When parents don't watch their children.

This weekend, I ... am looking after my niece (Sat. only) cause my sister has to work.

When I eat spaghetti... i like garlic bread and i like to have a glass of milk after.

I am handing out full size candy bars.

This weekend, I ..................plan on mowing the yard, go to the Rodeo and just try to chill in this heat.

When I eat spaghetti............I usually have a salad and sometimes crusty, buttered bread.

The last time.............I went to Disney World was in 2002.

For Halloween...........we are not doing anything.

Thank you . His birthday is actually on Monday, but we are celebrating it this weekend.

We got a little rain overnight and it's still sprinkling some. Yay!!! It's been awhile since we've seen rain. There goes my mowing the yard today but it's worth it.

First I have my kiddos look at it. If it is beyond them, then I take it to a place near by. I've only done this once in the past five years thank goodness!

I don't even attempt to fix it. I take mine to a man who's retired and fixes computers as busy work.
