Well maybe not everyone, but it feels that way!

I missed the boat on the day the codes were relased for AP holders, as I was moving back to school. The next day I called early for the BAT code but had no luck.

Right now I'm at POFQ at the AAA rate for four nights 10/20-10/24. I like the looks of POFQ, but really wanted to try the WL. However, thats not available yet, even as a two part ressie. Nor is anything else (besides the values I think) for my dates for BAS, BAT, or EWP.

I'll keep trying, but just wanted to moan a little.

My new hope is a split ressie w/ expedia....?

We wanted the Poly Concierge Garden but could only get the Poly Garden via the phone - making several calls...well yesterday I tried on the Disney website and Poly Lagoon View Concierge came up. My friend called and could not get it via phone.

Today I tried several (many) times on the DIsney website and tonight the Poly Garden Concierge came up with the discount and I booked it there!

So if you have the patience to keep trying it that way you might get lucky!

I've always had good luck with the codes. But a few times I had to keep calling, but it did become available. One time I wasn't able to get the price I wanted, but I ended up getting a garden view instead of a standard view at WL, and since it was our Disney wedding/Honeymoon it turned out great anyway (we actually got an upgrade to courtyard view when we checked in!). This year I finally got one of the cards I always hear people talking about, so we're taking our little extra trip and trying out Pop Century b/c we can go so cheap!!

I haven't been able to get any code either. I can't complain, though, we were in Bermuda when the codes came out!

I have called 3 times since Sunday, but nothing is available my week 10-31 to 11-7. Maybe because of Halloween. Maybe because I have the 5 for 7 deal (I got WDTC and all 3 times they kept telling me what a great deal I have - why do I want to switch?). I would save $300.00 if I could get the AP rate.

I haven't had any luck on website either.

We couldn't get exactly what we wanted either. It looked like most places were booked over the weekend so we are splitting our stay. BC then GF.

I would like to thank the disboard members for giving me the courage to split a stay. I would never have thought about it if it hadn't been mentioned here.!!!

You are not alone. Many of us didn't get the recent discounts.

I shouldn't complain because I did get the 5+2 package. But, I would really like to get a discount for the one-night we have booked before the 5+2 starts. I've never paid rack rate ..... I don't like it!

We'll be there Fri 10/22 -Fri 10/29.

Had no problems with codes when I worked through Cathy at Dreams Unlimited. In fact I read the boards one night before dinner and read where someone had gotten a special rate for that day only -- others were calling no luck. Emailed Cathy and by the time dinner was done she had emailed back that we got the code. DU is awesome.

We're booked at the AKL Nov 3-7 for $220/night standard view! EEEKKK! Tried the code yesterday, but no luck. DH is going to try again today...
We wouldn't mind a different resort even: WL or BC/YC.

Guess we just keep trying?

Is there a better time to call?

I had to change my ressie about 6 times before I got what I wanted. And I didn't start out wanting what I ended up with!! I wanted WL, too, but when that wasn't available (I called on the first day at about 8:00 am), I took AKL pool view. After calling back every day, sometimes twice, and changing the ressie one day at a time (if one day in your trip is unavailable, the whole trip comes up that way on their computer. If you do it day by day, you may get most of what you wanted..), I finally got a great room (AKL-savanna view) at a great rate ($183 inc. tax-a LOT more than I intended, but I couldn't resist a view of the animals)and now I don't have to call anymore!!

One thing that seemed to be helpful (for some reason-I don't know why) was using the 877 number (877-939-3732). I know that at LEAST, it is toll free and easier to get through-that much I am sure of. Others that used it claimed there were rooms available at that number, when there weren't at the others..-don't know about that. (It is WDTC) It's definitely worth calling once or twice a day..People also seem to have "magical" luck with DU-I didn't know about them, but I had great luck with the 877 number and basically having the type of personality that won't take "no" for an answer..Usually it's a curse.

Also, there is talk that the rooms that have been reserved but no deposit paid go back into the pool 2 weeks after. Some CM's say they go back at rack rate, others (including the one I spoke with) say they go back at the discount code rate. It's worth a try to get a phone call in early next Tuesday or Wednesday...Or Thursday, or Friday.....

Sorry to hear you didn't get the AP rates. DH and I were thinking of inviting his family to come join us for a quick trip for MNSSHP and today I called, there were still able to get the AP rates for POR. I figured we'd have to pay full price for their room.
(Although, we've been trying to get WL, it just wasn't happening...all sold out ). Our dates are Oct. 16-18, and got POR waterview for $99 p/n and the CM added the second room to our ressie so they can get the AP rate as well.

Give them a try again and see, you never know. GOOD LUCK!

No luck here either.

Wanted WL for 10/16-10/23 - called with a postcard code. Nothing.

Called at 8AM on the "preview day" when I got the e-mail about AP rates being available a day early. Nothing.

Called 7AM on Thursday for the official AP release. Nothing.

We've been calling about twice a day for the past week waiting for something to open up.

Right now we're booked in a Tower Room at CR - which is really great - but spending $1000 more than I thought we would. That's significant for 7 nights. We got CBR for about $800 for 9 nights in February.

The funny thing is that a month ago, I would never have considered paying that much for CR. Now I'm thinking that we're so lucky to have something. That magical Disney marketing at work!

We're at WL and our DU agent checks very frequently, but nothing. No BAT, no AP, no nothing. Sigh. Maybe after the due date for the deposits on the latest round of codes comes and goes?? Then again, maybe not. Hey, we're going to Walt Disney World. I try to keep that in mind when I'm reading about what seems like everybody else who is saving money but me.

While I did get AP rate ressies at the Pop we just read the Pop Warner thread and realized we DO NOT want to be there.

So I called this evening to change ressies to a moderate, but nothing available for our dates.

I right their with ya I called the 877-939-3732 at 7 am the day the BAT code was released and nothing for our Oct. dates at the WL. To make it even more difficult I need 2 rooms (mom is coming) :sigh: I do have the DV 7/4 deal for most of our trip but am paying AAA rates for the first 3 nights. Better than nothing I suppose....

This is kind of strange though. I called Disney to ask if they could apply BAT or BAS to my November 11th reservation at CBR. We are staying for 3 nights. She said "I have good news and bad news". I asked for the good news. "The good news is that the codes are indeed good for great rates" What is the bad news? "The bad news is that the dates you are traveling are blocked out". So there really isn't any good news? "Yes - the good news is we have some fantastic rates". I don't get it. I was disappointed enough. What is this good news/bad news stuff? I kind of knew that my date was blocked out because of the holiday probably, but this is the only time we could go and not have the kids miss any school. Should I keep trying? Is there another code?

I couldn't get anything for the 1st week of November (Nov 2 - 8). Fortunately I already had Wilderness Lodge at rack rate, since I suspected that discounts would be non-existant for that time period (our "Jersey Week"). I did get a discount at Coronado Springs for the three days before my stay at Wilderness Lodge, so that made me feel a bit better!

I really wonder if anyone got any kind of discount during the 1st week of November (including the weekend of Nov 6th/7th), as I suspect that weekend is very booked!!
