.*Even Miracles Take A Little Time.* A Beyond Birthdays PTR ~Complete~

I will be looking forward to seeing what you decide to do with a video camera or flip phone. I usually use my camera, too, but I'd like a flip phone that can go right onto Facebook. I think my regular camera is about to play out, though, so I may be putting my money into that before the Christmas trip. It held up through this trip, but it is making a lot of noise.

As for your trip, if you've never been out of the country, I'd probably take the opportunity to do that.

I think I'm going to get the camcorder since I don't have my laptop with me on vacations, usually, especially where I'm taking a flight to the place. Though the Flip would be good if I decided to film on my school trip, wherever it may be. (: That definitely sounds like a good investment to get a new camera MeMom. I love your pictures on your TR, so if it is acting weird, definitely get a new camera before kerplunk, all pictures are lost on your trip :/ That's almost what happened with my laptop, I was lucky it only was the power outlet, so definitely get a new camera if you're weary of its abilities. :)

As for your trip, if you've never been out of the country, I'd probably take the opportunity to do that.

Yeah, that's what I picked for my #1 choice, hopefully snow is still on the ground if I do end up going there. :thumbsup2

HELLO EVERYONE!

I'm SOOOO sorry I haven't updated this TR in awhile. I've been a bit busy the past two weeks with school work and some other stuff and just didn't have time to update. I've also been a lot more tired than usual so that hindered me from allowing extra computer time non-school related. So I wanted to let you know that, as to let you know I haven't forgotten about this PTR.

I also want to mention for those who were reading my April '10 TR and thinking I completed it, well... it isn't. I still had two more updates left, but I guess my absence proved to be the moment for it to be closed. I am amending that at this moment and it will be opened back up soon enough :thumbsup2

Now, onto this trip... as of this moment, there has really been not a lot of progress. Nate and I haven't talked in awhile so I don't know how things are going on his end and I haven't been on the Southwest site in awhile, either. It keeps on getting closer and closer to December, the month when I had hoped everything would be booked, so I guess I gotta start cracking the whip now, especially with the payments for my school trip coming my way and Christmas and... yeah, so I don't want to get caught in that when I ask, "So, are we going to book the flight?" :sad2:

Now, about the school trip, since I'm sure a lot are wondering and I've let it in the air since my last update, but yes, I did end up choosing Quebec as my number one choice, though I don't know if that will be the trip I go on. Manhattan was second of course than the one that goes basically up and down the East Coast, this Amazing Race-esque one and lastly DC. I'm hoping to find out this week or next week since that's when my teachers say they will have it decided by. I'm crossing my fingers they have been doing this when not grading our projects and essays.

Besides that, nothing has really been going on in my life lately. I mean, Homecoming was last week, but being me, I didn't go. I'm not a fan of dances, but maybe next year I'll end up going to them again, since I don't have the urge to go at the moment, unless it's something really big like Prom, but I'm not a Junior so... it's not my thing. But Halloween's around the corner so maybe I'll have some stories from that, though this may be my first year not trick-or-treating... sad isn't it?

Well, that's all that's going on at the moment. I want to tell all my DISFriends going down to the happiest place on Earth for some Not So Scary Halloween festivities to have an awesome time! I'll probably comment on your PTRs soon enough, but this is just in case.

Have A Magical Day!

I feel like I haven't been to your PTR in years, it's seriously taking me forever to get caught up on everything since getting back from Disney, and I got back 2 weeks ago! Ugh!

I'm glad you went with Quebec as your #1 choice for your school trip. NYC is fun, but Quebec seems a little more exotic. Ok, maybe not exotic. European, I guess! :)

Hope you get everything booked for Disneyland soon!

Awwww... it's okay. I've fallen so far behind on most of my TRs, I basically spend majority of my time on here just catching up. Hopefully by the end of this week I'll be all back in order on here :thumbsup2

I think exotic is the right word because Quebec isn't in Europe so... yeah, though it does have European influences, still it's a whole new culture, new money, everything! It would be a great learning experience to truly see and feel all of that :goodvibes Though hopefully it snows so I can do all the activities they have planned for us.

Hope you get everything booked for Disneyland soon!

Thanks! I'll be definitely trying to push it this week, since next week is November, one month before my preferred deadline

Hope you get to go to Quebec and get your flights etc sorted soon.

Thanks Tanz! I will probably bring it up tonight since I'm in a much better than mood than I've been for most of this week and I'll crunch numbers this weekend so we can have a rough estimate of what we'll be paying :hyper: So very excited!

TRIPLE MOUNTAIN WHAMMY!

Hello ladies and gents who are hopefully still wandering the sad wasteland that is my PTR. Sorry I haven't updated. I was prepared to update awhile back, but I guess fate had other plans. I think the biggest bump in the road was the freak snow storm that passed through. I was without power for three days and so lost time on catching up on TRs. Along with my phone and iPod ending up in the watch, which stressed me out for awhile, so the reason why I'm updating tonight rather than when I got power back, but I promise the updates will be more frequent after this.

So moving on from my depressing life into updating on the trip. Well... while I thought things were looking up, they are looking down at the moment. My mom keeps on getting mad at me whenever I bring up Disneyland and a trip, saying how it's just not going to happen. I haven't done much of researching and crunching numbers, so maybe that's a reason, but I'm still pushing for the trip. Confidence is key, right?

I'll just continue now with talking about some more Disneyland attractions and I'm guessing if you read above, this post is all about the Triple Mountain Whammy:

WHAM! WHAM! WHAM!

Needed to talk about some Stacey with this, because she says it best right? Well, to make it more simple for people who still don't understand what I'm talking about, I'm talking about... Splash Mountain, Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Three classic E-ticket Disney attractions, though very similar to their Florida counterparts I'm very excited to ride them out in Disneyland.

First up, is Splash...

Disneyland+Rides+Splash+Mountain_splash-mountain.jpg

Splash Mountain has to be one of my all-time favorite Disney attractions. I just love water rides and Splash has to be the best. I know, the basic difference is the logs and the theme-ing and songs are a bit different because it isn't in Frontierland, but put in Critter Country. Also, all my friends and I really enjoy making some crazy on-ride photos and splash is probably the best to do it on. We are still planning it since our on-ride photos must be uniquely awesome :thumbsup2

Next, is Space...

Space-Mountain-adrenaline-at-Disneyland-PAris.jpg

Space Mountain is probably my favorite Disney attraction. It was my first roller coaster and totally deserves the top spot in my favs. I've heard the DL version is also much better than the WDW version so it will be tons of fun to ride this. Of course, we also have the on-ride photo to add to it. It will be interesting seeing how I enjoy it in the only other Disney park I've been to (:

Lastly, Big Thunder...

BigThunder2.jpg

BTMRR is probably the Disney ride I've ridden the most. It is such a fun ride and the classics just don't come around as often these days. Sadly, this ride doesn't have on-ride photos, but still I'm excited to ride it. From seeing the pictures and videos of the ride, it does look a bit different and I've heard it's better as well. I can't wait to ride and see if I like it at DL more or less :)

Yup, so that's basically the update, sorry it wasn't longer. I'll just leave you off with some really cool remix videos of classic Disney movies. These are really cool, so definitely check them out-

O, CANADA!

Alright, I'm SOOOO sorry I haven't been very active on here lately. I've been very busy with endless schoolwork and a ton other stuff. Thank goodness, vacation is coming! Speaking of vacation, for those of you who remember, I have a school week in the Spring where I go on a trip to wherever and get to take something like a course on the place you are going to. Well, over a week ago, I found out where I'm going so... DRUM ROLL PLEASE!

... I'M GOING TO QUEBEC!

I'm so excited! It's going to be such a fun trip especially knowing most of the people that are going are pretty awesome and one of my best friends is going as well! Oh, I'm just so excited! I'm bringing a camera and hopefully my new camcorder I've wanted, so there will be a lot to show.

Now, for a trip update...

As of yet, again, dead end. Nothing has happened. There has been no major talk between my mom and I. I'm a little nervous again about the awful thought of... this may not happen, especially when around the time, I'll be taking driver's ed so there will be even more money out the door at the time. I'll still leave this open since our vacation may be California and we'll stop by for a day or two if I get my say in the matter.

Yeah, there really isn't anything else going on. The week has just been too busy to mention anything besides that. I'll try to get back into a better updating schedule!

Have A Magical Day!

Having never been to Quebec,
and most likely never getting to Quebec in the future,
I will look forward to your good pictures. :)

Enjoy Thanksgiving break with your family!

Yay Quebec sounds awesome! :cool1: I can't wait to see your pictures! My DH went there on a high school trip and he really liked it, he keeps telling me we need to go there someday, but...when I'm faced with picking either DISNEY WORLD or Quebec for a vacation, Disney World always wins!

Hope you still get to go to Disneyland! I'm really, really hoping to get there next year! :thumbsup2

Awwww... I'll promise to take a gazillion pictures and remember to get some nice food pics! :teeth: Get a little glimpse into pretty Quebec :goodvibes

Enjoy Thanksgiving break with your family!

Thanks MeMom! You too with little Bella and Brooklynn! :)

Haha, of course! That is how it always works, well... I wish that was how it works, but I think the best part of this is my parents are jealous. They've both been to Quebec, Montreal to be exact, but not Quebec City, so my dad kept on making the excuse for me not to go because he hadn't been :rolleyes1 Probably one of the biggest reasons I want to go :thumbsup2

Hope you still get to go to Disneyland! I'm really, really hoping to get there next year! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I'll probably wait for a bit to bring up the question because I've kept it on the down-low so my mom won't get so angry about the subject. Well... let's hope she doesn't :cloud9:

COMING BACK TO M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!

Hey guys!

I'm SOOOOO sorry I haven't been on lately. School and a lot of other real life situations have prevented me from a lot of DIS Time, the reason I was so quiet throughout most of this month, but I think I'm in real need of some Disney, so I'm trying to find time to get back on and finally time was nice enough to come out of hiding and I got on ;)

Alright, so about the trip... I haven't really discussed it in awhile and I've done that purposefully since we are seriously focused on the Quebec trip at the moment. I still need to get a passport and its just crazy. I'm hoping maybe by not saying anything until Quebec is no longer taking money out of my parent's pockets and we have time before Driver's Ed to persuade them into letting me go for my 16th birthday (:

Yup, so that's it! I don't really have anything else going on, but let's just say this week started out stressful but I've gotten through it and there's only one more week until CHRISTMAS VACATION and I'm off the hook for awhile and we'll get everything back in order so I can be on here more often.

I hope everyone else is well. For those whose TRs I was reading I PROMISE I will get caught up on those soon enough and I know I'm REALLY behind.

Have a Magical Day! (Boy I need one of those hehe)

Life just gets the best of all of us sometimes. Don't worry, there's plenty of Disney magic here to go around.

Awesome that you're going to Quebec. I have never been to Canada, but it's definitely on my list. I think my list is incredibly long. :lmao:

That's what I just love about the DIS! Always there for my annual (daily ;)) dose of pixie dust :goodvibes

I'm so excited! I can't wait to go! And believe me, I'm pretty sure if I had a list, it would be LONG-er lol

You'll love Quebec Timmy.
I spent a month and a half touring Canada when I was young. Spectacular.

Gosh you get out late for break. The kids are off as of today and don't go back until 1/6/12.

Of course they start mid-August and don't get out until June. Not sure what your schedule is.

Still hoping you get to take your Birthday trip. My second grand will be 13 next year and he wants to go to WDW. He's been to DLR many times but not sure I can take all of them so who knows. He's already saving up though.

I'm so excited, from what I've heard from my dad and people on here, and from what we're going to do there... oh it's going to be an awesome trip :)

WOW! I think I get back earlier than that, I'm not sure, but I think so... my school doesn't give very long breaks :/

My school started this year at the beginning of September and is going to end in June, we almost went into July last year, but it can't go that far anyways.

I'm not actually so sure about that one anymore... There is a lot going on and with all that's going on, unless we turn out to go visit my mom's cousins with the whole family, I won't be going there this year, but if everything goes well for next year and I have a job by then... maybe I'll go, but things can change in a couple of months so we'll just have to wait and see :teeth:

Hey Timmy,
You are going to love Quebec. Specially in the Spring! :)
Are you coming to Montreal too or Quebec City only? Are you taking some French classes? I am sure it will be a lot of fun.
I hope the Disneyland trip works out for you too. You forgot to mention the 4th mountain, BTW:Matterhorn! ;)

Have agreat week!
