Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

:surfweb:

Things are becoming so crazy busy around here!!!!
Between the store doing great (I thank God everyday!!!!), summer activities (responsibilities and fun), and now getting ready for the girls party Sunday, I'm starting to feel a little like this :hyper: :faint:  :headache:  all at the same time!!!! I'm not complaining though, because if I had nothing to do, than I WOULD be complaining about that ;)

cheeringmom - Stephanie does love Camp Rock, and for the life of me, I don't know why :confused3  After we watched the movie, I asked her what she thought, and she said she liked it more than HSM:eek: I asked her why, and then she asked me what I thought. I told her that acting was awful, those kids can't lip sync their way out of a paper bag, the story was goofy, and those Jonas Brothers are so unattractive, that I don't know what a single girl thinks is attractive about them. She laughed, because I think she agrees, but with all the hype, she also feels that she should love it. All I know, is she watched both HSM's over and over again, and the only time she's watched Camp Rock is when it was on, and then again with me. It's on the DVR, so she can watch it anytime she wants, and I wouldn't tell her she can't. I try to keep my opinions to myself about the Jonas Brothers, because I know so many people (kids and adults like them), but sometimes, I can't control myself (no offense to your DD for liking them of course, I would never hurt her feelings).

Belle - I think Wally would be the best to answer that quesiton - hopefully he'll see it.

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work - I want to get in a little early today
Have a good day everyone!!!!

Okay moms---what is your favorite site or sites to share baby/family pictures that even less techie people can navigate? My dad and I are trying to get a list for sis to share baby C's pictures with relatives that have limited computer skills. I'm not sure about a blog. We are thinking that we want password protection/best security.

My friends do snapfish to share their photos and you can password protect. I think Flickr accounts can be password protected too and that is a very good site.

I don't post photos at all (I am waaaay over protective about this), so I am not the best to answer, but that is what I do see out there with my friends.

I get a lot of grief in the scrapbooking communities because I don't post at all. I really just do not want to do it. I have been digiscrapping for years, but I can't really participate in the world of digiscrapping because of this philosophy. Sometimes in bothers me, other times it totally doesn't because I do it for my own enjoyment, not to impress others with my work or become part of someones creative team. I don't think I am alone in that thought process but it's hard to know that because all you see is the people who do post their work and you see the calls for posting if you use someone's kts or work (they need the advertisement).

Woah, sorry - waaay off topic! :guilty: Total rant there. Sorry. I am feeling it a lot right now because I am scrapping quite a bit and out there in the community looking for new kits and stuff to use.

My husband is out of town for a week and what I do is send him a spread every night with pics of me and the kids to say we Miss You!

I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. :headache:

OK - Castlegazer signing off to go get some more coffee and a better attitude this morning. :rolleyes1

they shouldn't give you grief for staying safe. if they want some ideas, I'd say give them some but don't feel pressured into showing pics of your family online. That is a personal choice!!!

SLO, my dd is in love with Joe Jonas-the cuter one IMO. Her first crush at 8 yrs hehehe I just don't want to spend $20 for a freaking ugly Jonas Bros barbie. haha

BELLE< i've used Snapfish before too. My camera is kodak so I used Kodak easy share. It is easy for me to upload my pics right from the camera to the online album.

I've had a really crappy headache all day. Change in weather. have a good one
:cheer2: cmom

NCBelle - another snapfish user here... I know some that have used ofoto.. but i started with snapfish years ago and i like it.. sometimes i have too many pictures and they make me a CD ....

Hi Taglikins.

Well, there's been a bit of excitement the last 48 hours.

2009 is Peg's 50th birthday, and the sibilings all made a pact to spend our 50ths together. Well, Peg decided she wanted us all to meet in Jackson Hole WY next summer. When I was on my cruise I still went ahead and booked a new cruise in 2009 thinking I would be moving it to 2010 (as I can't readily afford two fancy-schmancy vacations in the same year).

Well, sometime yesterday morning, Peg decided arranging a group trip like that would be just too much grief (making sure everyones 'needs' are met, and battling with all those group meals to be arranged). So....she said, heck with that we're doing a cruise! :cool1: So, she called up her husband and our big sister (the two who would need convincing) talked to them and booked a cabin for her and DH on my Tortola cruise!:cool1: :cool1: Later that day, I talked to big sister and called DCL and moved from my solo cat 11 into a Cat 6 with her! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Our brother has been contacted, though I don't know if he's booked yet (he just had double hip replacement surgery). I'll be calling him in the AM in case I have to work any 'Disney magic' on him. :thumbsup2

I'm so glad this particular cruise is now 'real'. A lot of my WB Panama Canal pals are on it too and I know we are all going to have a blast. :boat:

So, gefric, RRBB & Ohanafamily, you know which one you shoul be booking while you are on your cruise....9/12/09 Tortola. ::yes::

.

Good morning guys,
ibouncetoo That sounds like it will be a fun cruise. What a nice idea to spend your sisters birthday together like that.

Geffric What instrument does Eric play in band? We didn't have marching bands in our high schools, but if we did it would definately have been something I would have been in. When I was at school I stayed behind every night for orchestra, choir, concert band, brass band etc. It sounds like he will have a fun and busy year.

Cheeringmom I hope your headache feels better today.

Everyone else I hope you are having a good day.

Well last night we went out to a concert at our theatre with some friends. It was a Pink Floyd tribute band. I'm not into that sort of music but Pete really enjoyed it. They seemed quite good though and it was nice to go out with friends.

Well I'm off to have a shower, we finally got it installed yesterday, although the bathroom isn't finished yet. Today we have to grout all the tiles then prep the floor for tiling (I have mosaic tiles to put down.) Plus Pete has to make the bath panel which will also be mosaic tiled.

Have a nice day everyone.

:surfweb:

I stayed up to late watching a movie - Backdraft!!!
It's been forever since I've watched this movie, and it really is a great movie!!:thumbsup2

castlegazer - I bet you DH loves the photos that you send him:goodvibes

cheeringmom - I bet the Jonas Brothers doll is ugly:eek: I wouldn't buy it either:sad2:

geffric - Wow, that is really impressive about Eric wanting to march after playing football:) I loved marching band when I was in highschool - I hope he enjoys it.

ibounce - That's awesome about doing the cruise for Pegs bday :cruise::yay:

Danauk - Good luck with your continued work on the bathroom:wizard:
**I heard on the news about that one historic place that burned down in London - how sad!!! I hate it when I hear about historic places burning down - such a shame!!!!:guilty: Is this somewhere you visited often? What exactly was it?

Well, I'm off to get ready for work - it's an early day today. Katie has to be at daycare by 8:30am for a field trip. They are going to a local splash pad, which is a bunch of fun type sprinklers for the children to play it. It's going to be hot here, so they have a great day for it:thumbsup2

Have a good day!!!!

Morning...

ibounce - that is great about the family cruise.. thanks for the dates:thumbsup2 .. i am not sure i can do it.. but then again why not!!;) A cat 6 WOW that will be wonderful...

DanaUK - Eric plays drums and he has been in drum line and the band director asked him to do marching band. I am really really glad he is doing it too.. he doesn't think that he will see much playing time this year so band is a much better alternative.. especially since he won't get hurt like football.. How's the bathroom coming?? When do you leave??

SLO - another field trip.. what a great camp...

I am downtown at work.. so I need to get back to it... after i stop by the cruise thread.. that thread gets over 100 pages per minute.. well it seems like that... no way i am gonna ketchup.. with that thread..

Slo The building that burned down was a pier at the seaside with a big building on the end of it, it wasn't in London, it was on the coast near London. I have never visited it as I haven't been to that seaside town (I grew up on the East Coast of England but much higher up the coast line that there.) Aparently it was privately owned and the owners have said they are going to rebuild it to look the same as it did before.

Geffric The bathroom is coming along slowly!! All the tiling is now done so we have to wait for that to dry overnight so we can grout it tomorrow. Then the floor still needs doing and the cabinets, TV, towel radiator etc still need putting up. But at least the bath and shower work now so this evening I will be able to have my 1st jacuzzi bath!! Oh and we leave a week on Monday, 10 days to go!!!

Just stopping by for a quick whoooooooooooo

I'm finally doing the single digit dance!!!!!

:cool1:  :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :dance3: :yay:  :cool1:

Now I just need to make sure the bathroom gets finished, the house tidied and cleaned and get the cases down to pack. Oh and finish all my school work ready for next year!!

I gotta work today - I'm not in the mood :sad2:
I have so much to do around the house for this party, that working at the store today is really going to put me behind. I"m hoping I can cut out of work a little bit this afternoon, so I can come and do something.

Last night we had dinner at the Chamber of Commerce Corn Roast (I didn't work it) It was so hot and muggy, that it made it very unenjoyable. The gnats were also terrible too, and I hate eating with bugs around. I finally told my friend that it was time to go, because the gnats were crawling up my legs:scared:  This is exactly why I don't camp and hike!!!! So we left and took the kids to Oberweis for ice cream (like I really needed that, but it's summer, so I'm allowing it  ).

geffric - My girls go to an awesome daycare - I love them!!!!!:goodvibes

Danauk - Congrats on single digits - how exciting!!!!:cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

Well, I gotta run and start getting ready for work
Have a great day today everyone!!!!

Man, don't think it hasn't crossed my mind to crash this party! Alas, I can not, but know I'll be thinking of all of you! :thumbsup2

.

Ibounce we had talked about it about a year ago.. ....;) maybe you would reconsidee???

SLO good luck on the party tomorrow! Can't wait to hear the details!!

ibounce, i wrote you a note on the 11/08 crusie thread. Dee says HI!! And Geffric, Dee said you called/emailed and is looking forward to meeting you. How fun. I told her I was so jealous you and hubby were doing a crusie...alone!!! yipeee! I know you will miss your kids but it is only for a week!! lucky!!

Dana, hope you get your bathroom finished and school work done up before you head on over. That is such a long flight. the flight over is so much more faster than the way back...

been checking the cruise board. Boy, there is a lot to learn. I need to think
about booking again while on board....depending on how seasick i get!! heheh:sick:

My advice...ALWAYS rebook on board...you can always move your reservation around...just lock in that discount and OBC...it's worth the 'deposit investment'. Lord knows, you don't get much return on $500 (or $250 in my case) right now. :thumbsup2

BTW I have heard on the cruise thread that there is a "sale" and that it will only cost 1/2 price for the deposit..:thumbsup2 another great reason to book on board.. 9/29/09 right ibounce???

Oh and CMOM it is a repo cruise and it is 15 nights..;) :) :dance3: pirate:

Ibounce we had talked about it about a year ago.. ....;) maybe you would reconsidee???
Yes, ibounce. You should come on out. It's only a hop, skip, and a Jump away from AZ. A good way to break in that new car of yours (and show it off to us, too.) :thumbsup2

NC B. and I went to see the latest Batman movie, shop (some stuff were tax free for us this weekend), and had dinner out.

We are excited for those going on vacation in the next week or 2. We have 3 weeks left before our trip (9 nights of free dining plan at CSR, one code night at CR).

Thanks for the photo site ideas...I tell Dad Sunday night when we call them.
