Hello DISnoids,

This morning, 10/25, we did Early Morning Magic in Fantasyland.

We are staying at Wilderness Lodge DVC Villas. We woke bright and early at 6:00, had a light breakfast in our room, and caught a bus to MK about 7:20.

There were LOTS of people at the gate, but most seemed to be there for ADRs. I was chatting with DW about EMM and someone nearby asked what it was. I told them about it a bit before they opened the gates.

We were let into the park and the crowd quickly moved along. By the time we reached the statue of Walt & Mickey, a lot of the crowd had dispersed. We got some nice photos with a photographer there before heading to 7DMT.

We rode 7DMT 5 times, Peter Pan 5 times, and Pooh once. We heard the welcome song as we were walking to Pooh. By the time we walked out of Pooh, the line for 7DMT was backed up to Teacups.

We then moved into Tomorrowland, where we caught Speedway and Astro Orbiter. We walked back to Pinocchio's and had our buffet breakfast. Everything was very tasty and there was a nice selection.

We crossed the park to Splash Mountain where we had a FP. Afterward, we stopped by Pirate Adventure and completed a couple of maps. It was fun and DS loved it.

We shared a Dole Whip and moved on to Tomorrowland, to use our FPs for MILF and BLSRS. By then, we were ready for a midday break. MK was CROWDED by then. Crowds are high this week, so we are extra glad we did EMM. We felt it was so worth it and we were able to ride a lot before the hordes were allowed into the park.

10/10 would do again!

As long as Disney does not increase the price point or the number of tickets they sell to this event, this venture may continue to do well, especially in the Magic Kingdom. But I do think that this may very well lead to the end of EMH for resort guest.

Thank you for your report! I have EMM for my upcoming December trip and I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your experience!

We were there today and were disappointed because 7DMT was down around 8:25. We went to other rides, came back and they let the public in at 8:45, so we lost a good portion of the exclusive period of riding time. The 7DMT CM was by far the rudest CM I've ever encountered, and said "you're riding it now" at 8:55 and that even one ride on 7DMT justified the $272 we paid for our family for EMM. I'm sure it was fine for other people but we have big and little kids and I was taking my little one to Pooh first and then switching with my husband for the second half to be with my older kids, so the shutdown threw a total wrench in our plans and I rode 7DMT with my kids once. Pretty disappointed in the experience to be honest.

You should go by Guest Relations ASAP and tell them about this. SDMT goes down fairly often, and I've seen multiple reports on the boards about people getting FP access to it for the entire morning when it goes down during EMM. For what you paid, Disney definitely owes you some compensation. Some anytime FP's at the very least.

Ouch, sorry you ran into that Aspen10. :(

I guess we just decided to move on just before the issues.

Yeah, say something for sure!! Id be expecting a partial refund or at least a good amount of FPs if I were you.

My daughter and I are booked for this on Nov 8th. I'm surprised you didn't take advantage of the breakfast included with the EMM. It looked pretty tasty! Our plan is to do rides from 7:45-9:15 and then eat breakfast. I think that we will get our fill of those rides in an hour.

??

Didn't they say that they went over to breakfast?

We too have really enjoyed EMM. Did it twice and anticipate doing it again if it's still around next summer. More than anything we liked that we got in the park early and by the time it was getting hot we were done for the day. There has been no indication that EMH is going anywhere so I think those fears are unfounded. This supplements that, vs replaces it

They did. And they even took more advantage of being in the park early by getting in a few rides BEFORE they went to eat breakfast. Smart.

We loved EMM on our last trip and will definitely do it again next summer, if it's still available. We saved the breakfast for after park opening and I think that's a good strategy, that way you get a good hour and a bit to ride. We did Mine Train 10 times and Pooh & Pan once each and then breakfast right around 9:00, which only took about 20 minutes or so and then we were back out and still able to enjoy some shorter lines.

Oh, my bad. I read that they ate breakfast in the room so my brain skipped over the rest.

Need more coffee!!!!

I did this in May with my daughter and it was wonderful. She's four and was a bit scared of the mine train. So we rode PP about nine times, Pooh twice. Saw Cinderella and Rapunzel, Anna and Elsa, all before 9:15. We rode IASW and had breakfast. I was surprised at how fresh breakfast was at that point, since it was a buffet. I would do this again in a heartbeat, and hope they keep the price point the same and the numbers low.
