The cold I have been fighting on and off fo a week has come back, so tonight we had grilled cheese with tomato soup. I was suppossed to have a game night but a lot of my friends are sick as well so we rescheduled for later.

Once again it's been awhile. A friend of mine went out of town to be with her mother during surgery so I've been babysitting her kids the last few days and feeding her family while she's away. Wednesday was cheesy rice and broccoli casserole. Thursday was another reincarnation of my pizza pasta with my mother in laws rocky road cake for dessert. Tonight oldest daughter went to a dance where dinner was provided so I went with a little of this and that for the rest of us. The boys had smoked chicken and we all had coleslaw, grape tomato's, strawberry's, croissants and artichoke hummus. Tomorrow we are going out for lunch before taking my daughter to a science museum for a belated birthday activity. The rest of our plans are:

Chili Mac and mixed vegetables
Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup
Potato and Cabbage saute with polish sausage for the boys
Minestrone soup
Salad bar night
Hotdogs/veggie sandwiches, mashed potato's and veggies
Turkey/black bean burgers, walnut stuffing and veggies
Taco night

tonight we made Stromboli and salad. yesterday we had pancakes and sausage.
sunday- pasta with Philadelphia cooking cream, broccoli, and chicken.
monday- herb crusted chicken breast, mushroom risotto, and a vegetable from the freezer.
tuesday-italian sausage, oven fried potatoes, veg from freezer
wednesday-porkchops, couscous, spinach
thursday-vietnam fried rice, fruit salad
friday-homemade cheese and mushroom pizza, celery and carrot sticks, lite ranch

we havent eaten out at all this week. i just have to pick up some produce for next week. most of the stuff is from the fridge freezers and pantry.

Dh took our daugher and a friend out for Chinese, but I chose to come home from work and grab something here. Pat me on the back! :lmao:

Saturday- Mexican pizzas and yogurt smoothies
Sunday- Chili, cornbread
Monday-Beef stew
Tuesday-Taco's
Wednesday-Tuna wraps, fresh fruit, chips
Thursday- Chicken tettrazini, salad
Friday- French toast, bacon, fruit

Tonight was baked potato soup and paninis for dinner.

Taking DD back to college tomorrow so have no idea what we will be doing tomorrow.

Will plan rest of week tomorrow.:thumbsup2

Consider yourself patted.

One of the good things this board does is give us a place to celebrate these small victories.

I am sorry to hear that you have been ill. I hope they find out what is wrong so you can get on the mend quick

Tonight we are having a vegetable pasta bake. I was going to make lasagna but forgot to get noodles so I am improvising rather than going out to the store.

This is what we had tonight. Sat we stayed ara Holiday Inn with a small waterpark for dd's b-day, we ate at Old Chicago, per the b-day girl's choice.

Changed our dinner plans. I ended up going out to run errands and was out too late to make up the pasta. Instead we had homemade waffles with bacon and fruit smoothies.

Well it's Sunday night again (why do the weekends have to go so fast?!:sad2:). So it is time to make the menu for the week again.

Monday: Homemade pizza. Will make the dough and let it rise in the afternoon.

Tuesday: Spaghetti and salad

Wednesday: Potato soup, sliced veggies, and biscuits and leftover ham

Thursday: Dinner at my sisters. (Need to make and bring dessert)

Friday: Take out (Subway or Pizza)

Saturday: Pork chops, veggie and rice

Sunday: Shepards Pie

I hate to put take out on the menu for Friday, but by the end of a long week we're exhausted and don't want to cook. It's happened every friday this month so I might as well just plan for it and pick something cheap. Better than a 50 dollar dinner out I suppose.

Tonight we're having rosemary baked chicken, potatoes, and green beans. One of the kids requested it. Win-win cause I can just throw it all in the crockpot. I'm using the McCormick pre-measured spice card. It calls for roasting the chicken, but it was great baked too. :)

This is me on Thurs! So I am just going to plan on it too. Last Thurs was Chick-fil-a, maybe $7 for the both of us so not bad at all.

This week will pasta heavy. Saw a new recipe for cheesy chicken spaghetti and we will also have spaghetti and meatballs. Not sure about the other days yet but it will come out of the freezer so maybe salmon and there is enough chicken to make another dish.

I haven't thought too much about this yet but based on the current state of the kitchen:

Monday - grilled cheese sandwiches
Tuesday - chicken ceaser salad
Wednesday - pulled chicken sandwich
Thursday - meatballs with pasta
Friday - buffalo chicken (strips?)

I have vegetable beef soup in the crock pot for dinner. I might make biscuts to go with it.
