I usually don’t write these types of reviews but I thought I would give a my thoughts on the Disney Destiney. My wife and I were on the 01/31/26 sailing out of Port Everglades (first for this port).
If you’ve been on the Wish nothing new as far as the lay out goes, I do prefer the Dream class ships but I will say the stand outs here were the food in MDR. The best one was Pride Lands: Feast Of The Lion King…the show was amazing and the food was excellent. Next was 1923 again just cannot say enough about the food. Marvel to me was lacking I thought in the show but again the food was very good. The buffet was a hit and miss, for breakfast the best bet is the cook to order area where they the over easy eggs the best of part of the whole morning I thought. Then for lunch during one of the sea days at Goofy’s Grill they had what Disney called a brat so being from Wisconsin I wanted to try this and after one bite in the garbage she went, didn’t even look like a brat!! I will say their chicken soup from room service was to die for. My favorite place on any of the Disney ships is deck 4, nice and quiet time to relax and just catch your thoughts.
I have read in previous post that a lot of the MDR main servers are earning their ears but I made it a point to talk to a lot of them and they all said that have move over from either the Dream or Fantasy but some of the assistant servers are new along with the room attendants.
All in all it is a beautiful ship but for me I do prefer sailing out of Port Canaveral.
As for the lounges we are not drinkers so we didn’t visit them but as we passed by they did look like they would be an enjoyable place to sit and have drink or two. My wife is a haunted mansion nut so we didn’t visit there there sat down had a Diet Coke and just soaked in the surroundings, very cool.
One last thing I would thank my daughter and her husband for they paid for this trip for my wife and I we are truly blessed
