Easter rental rates....UGH!!!

I couldn't get into MCO for a decent rate so I opted for Tampa...we have done it before and the drive isn't bad at all.....but rental cars out of both airports are alot higher then I'd like to pay.....So, I'm probably doing a 1 day rental at each end of our trip with a car rental after 3 days when we move into our timeshare....a minivan for a total of 3 day rentals...$244.43.....UGH!!! If I decided to do the entire 9 days it would be over $575.....double UGH!!!

And most of this I started booking in Oct.....

I am having this issue too for 9 days just prior to Easter. I have a 9 day mini van rental with Budget and using a discount coupon from Entertainment book for 20% off a weekly rental for $443.55. We're arriving in Tampa and returning car to Orlando. High but better than $575. I'll keep checking for specials but that is a busy time and I don't have much hope for a lower rate.

how are you getting back to tampa after you drop off your rental car after 7 days in orlando...

Right now I'm just planning on renting one day at each end then get a 1 day rental for grocery shopping when we move into the BWV's

How do you feel about a grocery delivery service? That would cut one day off your rental.

We used Wegoshop.com in December and we were extremely pleased as we purchased groceries for the week and I didn't want to stop at a store with everyone at 9pm at night when the flight arrived.
