Early Dec. Waitlist-Don't Give Up Yet!

I had been on a waitlist for any DVC resort at WDW for a studio since the end of July. I called MS yesterday, thinking I'd just cancel it since I got a great rate at AKL and have never stayed there. Well--my waitlist came through for Dec. 3-6 at OKW! I am so psyched! (My ressie had come through the day before I called, so my confirmation was in the mail.)

So, if you are in the same situation, don't give up yet! WooHoo! I can't wait!

Congratulations - over the years (with one exception at Christmas) we have had excellent luck with the wait list program. Have a great trip. WDW during the holidays is even more wondeful.

That's encouraging news although I seriously doubt my waitlist will come through. We're waiting for Dec 3-10 for any accomodations at all, even though it's just DH and I. I truly want a VWL studio, but at this point will take anything. In the meantime, I have cash ressies at the Dolphin using the nurses rate at $129/night. It kills me to have to pay this though, considering all the points I have at my disposal. I never in my wildest dreams thought I wouldn't be able to get a DVC ressie. My ignorance though caused this problem. I thought with just adding on at BCV I'd be able to use those points right away, silly me!

TersaNJ Know how you feel ...we are booked in the WL for Dec.2-5. CY.....(the rate was just too good to pass).....staying on pts. at OKW 1 b.r. for Fri and Sat. Dec. 6 &7.... yes folks i know the wk- end but needed to use the pts. We are taking the 13 yr. old grandson and he loves the Lodge.....so do i....actually our home resort is BWV....we love it there also....i was on the wait-list a short time.......enjoy

What type of room did you want? I made a 1BR at BWV first of Aug for Dec 6-8. Changed it to OKW 1 BR mid Aug since MIL was going and wanted a bigger room. And no waitlist.

just went on the wait-list end of Sept....I believe..( for the wk-end) it became available pretty quick as i rem....my DH loves OKW (GOLF),he was the one that wanted BWV..we do love it anywhere tho..

I think I went on the waitlist mid-September. I told MS that I'd take any type of room at any of the DVC resorts for Dec 3-10, but they didn't have anything available. I've been calling back every week since, but still no luck. Oh well.
