For a person with wizard-like intelligence such as Musk, it seems kind of ironic to see him adopting Gary the snail, a character from the Nickelodeon cartoon,
Spongebob Squarepants. Not that we're knocking the "Great Yellow One" or his beloved aquatic animal companion or anything, but it just seems like Musk wouldn't have much to do with cartoons.
As it turns out, Gary the snail is a euphemism for L.A.'s notoriously congested traffic."We want to beat Gary," Musk said at a conference last year. "Victory will be beating the snail". Because you know... snails are slow, just like L.A. traffic.
the Disney family is the only family to have more than one member serve as Grand Marshal:
Walt Disney was the 1966 Grand Marshal, then his nephew
Roy E. Disney held the post in 2000. Additionally,
Mickey Mouse was the grand marshal for the 2005 parade.
Celebrity is a condition of
fame and broad public recognition of an individual or group, or occasionally a character or animal, as a result of the attention given to them by
mass media. A person may attain a celebrity status from having great
wealth, their participation in sports or the entertainment industry, their position as a political figure, or even from their connection to another celebrity. 'Celebrity' usually implies a favorable public image, as opposed to the neutrals 'famous' or 'notable', or the negatives 'infamous' and 'notorious'
So this is my Miracle on 34th street evidence.....that you are going to tell your grandchildren that Santa Claus is not a real person? Because when the Smithsonian exhibit arrived in Oregon and my son had a breakdown that he could not shake hands with Kermit the frog....I was not going to tell him that he is just cloth.
