"Dreaming" of Mexico in March 11th 2012

I believe that the fish extender list is update. I went through and added people that were interested and deleted people that were no longer on the cruise. I am not sure what the typical cut-off is.

Just booked today! This is our 2nd DCL and 6th cruise (1 American Hawaii, 2 Crystal, 1 Norwegian, 1 DCL-8/11 Dream).

It will be me, DH, DD(13) and DS(11). We may be interested in FE, but I need to check out just what that entails.

All the New Comers ...

So still have not figured out what I want to do for the excursions....I have to double check when I can start booking...so busy with getting my son ready to finish his College apps and essays and testing that I have been off cruise focus.

Part of me wants to not get off the ship for obvious reasons and the other part of me says I love Cabo and wont be able to keep by self back :goodvibes

PV Im still not sure about as far as getting off....but one thing is for sure..where I would normally book on our own this time it will be only with DCL.

I cant believe Thanksgiving is soon and Christmas around the corner...before we know it they will have come and gone and we will be walking on Deck of the Wonder waiting to set sail and having a great time at the Sailaway party.

We usually as a family of 4 always sit together without anyone else so this time we will Im sure be sitting with others since we are only 2....that will be nice....who knows it may end up to be someone on here...popcorn::

I have not put down for the FE this time because just came back and did the FE and this time just want to sit back and not do it.....although as it gets closer I may change my mind...

Well, I guess I'll join the fray. My family is in for this cruise, our second time on DCL. We took our first DCL voyage May of this year when the Wonder repositioned from LA to Vancouver. It was a great time and our family liked it so much we rebooked onboard. We know it won't be super warm on this cruise but we are hoping for weather a little warmer than we experienced out along the west coast going north. At one point our kids were the only ones in the Mickey pool when it was cold and on the verge of raining. As Canadians I guess we figured that as long as the pool was heated, what's the big deal.:confused3

Anyway, I'll check back here regularly over the next few months. I really haven't spent much time researching the ports or excursions, but I should get my head around that soon. I'm normally quite a planner, but we've got a 7 person, 10 night WDW marathon weekend trip coming in January which has consumed most of our attention.

For the record, we are:

Me (Darren)
DW
DS (will be 7)
DD5

We'll be on deck 2, but I'll have to look back to confirm our room number.

Looking forward to chatting with you all here in this thread.

We are on deck 2 as well. We are aft I think under parrot cay in interior rooms.

I really want to do fish extenders. I will ask my wife in the morning.

Well our baby will be here any minute. My wife is currently at 4cm. She is progressing slow. I was hoping for an 11/11/11 birth but it isn't happening. He will be born on the 17th at the latest (the Dr. Said they would induce then.)

Oh and does anyone know if they would seat us with other people since we already have 6 people in our party? I love to talk and our girls do better at longer meals if they have "friends" to talk to.

We have done the the FE a couple of time and usually a month in advance is the cut off date. I am sure there will be more families that join in the next couple of months, but if you do not have a cut off date people want to join in the last week and people are so busy/left that is is hard to keep up with the additions, especially for those that make things.

This is just my suggestion, what does everyone else think?

What's next? Work on the dog?

I love your mission,

I have had success on the kids, not so much on my husband.

:welcome:

To all the new cruisers. Less than 4 months now, Christmas always comes so fast, so that speeds up the wait.

Any one know what time fireworks would be at Disneyland the Saturday before the cruise?

Thinking maybe of staying near the park and going to DTD and catching the fireworks, but coming from the East it will be late.

If anyone is interested in joining us, I just booked our canopy zip line tour with Los Veranos for Wednesday at 11:45. MUCH cheaper than booking through DCL. It would have cost the four of us $400 with DCL, but it's only $250 directly through Los Veranos, after their 15% online booking discount. The only "catch" is that you have to take a taxi to their office, but that's about $6 a person.

We have four - me, DH, DD(13), and DS(11).

I am definitely interested. Did you have to designate a time? Was this the Puerta Vallarta day? I am planning this for my husband and two boys (13, 15).

Did you book on your own or through Disney?

On our own....went to the website for them and booked there....we were not the only ones that booked on our own...also don't forget bug spray or bug wipes.... :)

I booked on my own through the company's website, not Disney. I can't post a link yet, but Google Los Veranos canopy tours and you'll get it. Choose Wednesday, March 14, and if you want the same time as us, choose 11:45. There were lots of other options available. Oh, and their website says to choose the Canopy Office location. I'm not sure what the difference is, but I did what they said for cruise passengers to do.

Thanks for the info. Did you see the policy if Disney changes the itinerary (I am not saying they are, but just in case)?

The company states on their website that cruise passengers are refunded 100% if the ship does not come to port.

Last night I booked the San Pedro Crowne Plaza through Hotwire for $80 CAD with taxes $100, for March 10.

It was the opague hotel option , but from reading on betterbidding.com I knew there are only 2,3 star hotels in San Pedro and if it lists high speed Internet as an amenity it will be the Crowne Plaza, the other hotel is the Doubletree.
