"Dreaming" of Mexico in March 11th 2012

LOL... Sorry I have a son who will be 7 and my daughter will be 4. They are super excited about going. Their first cruise.

Christy:cool1:

Okay so it hit me today that I will be cruising again so soon...WOOT WOOT :woohoo:

By the way the water is cold cold in Cabo in March so if you plan snorkeling be prepared...you can also if you want to do the beach just take the water taxi over to the hotels..ask them the best one and you can use their pools also...that's what we always do....I will look what hotel we usually go to...

If you want to ride horses they have them right their on the beach...you can also take a tour cheeper going out yourself...as you get off the dock you will be bumbarted for tours....

We always take the glass bottom boat tour from the locals....it's right there....the water taxies will drop you off and you can tell them what time you want to be picked up and they will return for you....you can also walk....but the water taxi is faster...

Last time in Cabo we did the buggies to the beac...it was so much fun...kids loved it a lot....still one of there fav excursions...we did that one through DCL. I have some pictures of it on my FB...

Did the zip line in PV on our own but took the same bus up with the people from DCL...took a short taxi ride to the place...lot cheeper but same excursion..if ya want the name of the place I will post it here...

LA is cold during March so be sure to bring a pair of jeans and sweatshirt...you will need it out on deck at night for sure....

As of right know we will be doing whale watching and the beach...beach on our own and Whale watching through DCL at least at this time till I do more research on Cabos whale whatching.

Anyone out there with a girl around 8 or nine? My daughter will be 9 in March. I know she would like to get to know a friend before the trip either with e-mails or regular mail. Any takers????

My youngest will be 9 in a couple of weeks. She is not big into the clubs but I am sure if she had a friend she would enjoy it more. Send me a PM with an email address .

Morning everyone...hope you all have an awesome blessed day!

I was looking at the other Mexican Riviera cruises on the DIS and seems the cruise meets for all of them also don't have a lot of posters...

Guess with all that is going on there many want to stay clear. I am glad that they gave us 2days at Cabo....wonder what they will do if the cancel PV also?

Maybe another day at sea or another day at Cabo....

So am I the only one in here that has already done this cruise with DCL...I did it on the Magic...when I looked back on that cruise meet we had over like 200 pages or so....we were buisy bees chatting away...not sure how many posts...

I'm really looking forward to do things I have never do Eberle...grown up things :lmao: its always been about the kids and me making sure everyone had an awesome time...I always came home ready to start my vacation as if I had not even had a chance to relax...

It's going to feel odd not to have my DH and other son with us but I will manage :rolleyes1

Anyone else on here doing it alone with their kids? I saw someone on here looking to do Palos with someone...I was going to do it alone with my book if I had to but I'm up for company if someone wants to join me....either way I'll be very happy....after all it's Palos right:thumbsup2

So what's everyone's fame plan on excursions?

I leave my husband home all the time, and just go with my girls. This will be spring break #5 for just me and the girls and we always have so much fun. I am sure you will enjoy the one on one time with you son and also time up in the adult pool area.

I have never done Palo but the last couple of cruises someone from the meet threads has organized the brunch in the private room they have and it sounds like a great time, maybe someone here will do that.

I think with 4 ships now it spreads out the DISers so you have less on each cruise which results in slower threads.

Could be....but my last cruise in July we had lots of folks from here....that was to Alaska and we had the 3 ships....

Also by now the ship is sold out...they have lots of cabins left still...I think for many you can do the Caribbean over and over but doing the Mexican Riviera not so much...besides doing the Caribbean you have CC...:woohoo:

For us we live near the boarder and have a mexican restaurant on every corner...we love Mexican food and Cabo.....

And no matter if there are 3 or 100 people in this thread....its fun to chat about our trip with someone else that really understands how excited we get when cruisng on DCL :thumbsup2 :yay:pirate:

here is a link that people re talking about MR excursions and who did what when they were there...
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2707273

So on another nots...I am in charge of fundraising for Grad night party....for about 400 students....we are expecting about 250 to come....hopefully...any ideas on fundraising to help them save some money, the students that is...I am doing car washes so they will get a percentage if they volunteer of the take in of the money....looking for some other ideas.

Thanks for the info on excursions and weather. I was looking at a resort day but wasn't sure if I wanted to book through Disney. I am planning on booking the PV zipline adventure for the guys and want to do a dolphin excursion with my daughter. Lots of research to do before I can book them.

here is who we have used when cruising to PV for zip...they were great! we booked on our own...the only problem if you book on your own is will DCL cancel PV port or not...in that case you may want to see up to what date you can cancel up to or if the cruise cancels its stop there what they do as for a refund...

My daughter just turned 8 but I am not sure if she would be up to chatting over email. I'll ask her tonight.

It's getting closer to Halloween. What is everyone's Halloween plans and costumes? My daughter is anxious to go out shopping for a costume. She wants to be something scary which is a change for her. My boys are getting to old for trick or treating so they will probably be handing out candy at home then we will go visit family (house hopping). They just recycle and mix and match old costumes. My youngest son likes his hairy troll mask.

Any ladies interested in joining a group of us for lunch at Palo on the 2nd Sea day????? Let us know so we can make some reservations soon. Should be a good time.

:woohoo: CONGRATS!

always makes me feel like it is almost here....mostly if you booked a year or two ago....I am using my DVC points so I was paid up day I booked about what 2 or so weeks ago....

I can't wait to go and have nothing to worry about back home since dH and other son will be home taking care of everything and not having to leave it up to anyone else...

Nothing but relaxation near the pool with a great book and an ice cream cone with real ice cream and none of this for 1week :laundy:

Can't wait!

I keep asking my son ...my 14 yo ...but he is yet to tell me...or even if he is having friends come over to go with him....after all he is a teen and I am a parent that when I talk I have 5 heads and no clue about anything...ahhhh teens :lmao:

Jumping ship AGAIN! With our out of state move early next summer, we feel the timing is just not right for a cruise this spring break. We'll have our house on the market and were bracing for a loss :( so we have moved our cruise for Spring Break 2013 on the Fantasy.

I know everyone will have a WONDERful time!

Sorry to hear you won't be joining us...but being on the Fantasy sounds like fun :thumbsup2 hope you can sell your home without 2 much of a loss...maybe you should rent it out till the market improves :confused3

Good luck to you and your family :thumbsup2

Sorry I've been MIA. I have been keeping up with posts, just not able to post myself. I can't believe how close March is - according to my countdown clock, we have 4 months, 19 days and some odd hours before our plane leaves for Disneyland. Getting very excited. For my DFriend, this will be his first cruise, and I think he is starting to get really excited. He is even looking at pirate costumes for Pirate night!

So in addition to Spring Break 2012, this morning I got an email from my TA that my other dummy booking has been transferred to March 9th Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy. That trip will take us to San Juan, Puerto Rico - so something new and different. Plus the Fantasy itself. Right now it is just DD and myself, so it will be a mother/daughter trip. And it will also be our first Inside cabin trip.

So now I hae two trips to look forward too. YEAH!

where is everybody...lol...this is the quietest cruise tread i have ever been on:lmao: I have been looking at what excursion I may want to do in Cabo....does anyone else know what they want to do? I will not be doing anything early as I have a teen that walks in at 2am after the teen club closes that sleeps in for a bit to Reve up for his next night out...

What about in PV...any ideas?

who's planning on not even getting off the ship?

Who else is also just traveling with themselves or with a child like I am? :confused3

I am here. I am planning a beach day in Cabo perhaps on my own for the whole family. For my guys I am planning a zipline adventure and for my daughter and myself a dolphin swim. There is something for everyone. Anyone have some plans?????
