"Dreaming" of Mexico in March 11th 2012

I found a beautiful dress for my daughter for formal night. We all will be wearing black and white with dashes of color. My husband has more Disney ties that we can count. OK-we could but it would take a few minutes. I want to take some nice family photos.

I love doing the pictures...we only dress semi formal...well nicer than the diner casual at the other nights...but we always do a photo....the cruise in July we did not do it because could not get my son who's coming with me to do it...but our OB picture you know the first one you do before boarding came out great so that did the trick.

matter of fact I will be using it for our Christmas photo.

Can you take a picture of the dress...would love to see it

I think we are looking at the Pirate Boat Sail & Snorkel Adventure in PV. Don't know yet about Cabo. Possibly the Dolphin Swim. I actually like the idea of staying on board. Did that on our last cruise for our stop in Nassau and loved it. Still have a little while to decide.

I wanted to do the dolphin swim ...the one that you dive down with the dolphins...it is not offered through DCL but is at the same place....but DS does not want to do that....

I'm hoping to change his mind.

We did a pirate boat in the virgin islands and it had a treasure hunt with it...my older son won it...you had to hunt for a key on the island...there were 5 keys...only one would open the treasure chest....he found it...the keys were not easy to find but it was sure fun...

I am not sure which dolphin excursion we will do. I am not sure how adventurous my daughter who will be 9 at the time of the cruise will be. We just saw the movie Dolphin Tale. She liked it but it depends.

My girls have both grown about 4 inches in the last month so I am scared to pick up any dresses yet as they will not fit by March.

Thinking about doing the Pirate Boat tour, just concerned that the ocean will be too cold. Last March at Castaway Cay the water was so cold that the girls only stayed in the water about 10 minutes, we went back on the ship to ride the Aquaduck insted.

My Abby is small for her age. I tend to buy dresses long and she can wear them a few years. She just wore a dress that she wore in Kindergarten and she is now in 3rd grade.

Hate to say it but we've jumped ship and we're no longer sailing this cruise. But...we are sailing on the Fantasy in 2013. I hope you all have a fabulous cruise!!!

Very excited! We are flying down from Seattle a few days before to go the Disneyland. My kids have never been, but have been to WDW 3 times in the last 3 years. Probably will just do 1 day in the park.

Sorry you won't be cruising with us but going on the Fantasy will be way cool! It would have been a bummer if you could not cruise at all...so glad that was not the problem....have a great awesome cruise!

Thanks! . I will be taking you up on the DL tips!! We were just in WDW a month ago...so doing everything isn't that important to us. We are excited to take the kids to Toontown and doing some of the rides that they've never done before.
Staying at the Howard Johnson for 3 nights before departure day. Reasonably priced with good reviews,and the location seemed good. Trying to do DL fairly cheap. Friday DL, Saturday Hotel/DTD day, Sunday - Mexico here we come!

We are also going to Disneyland prior to the cruise. I hope to get in early enough on Thursday to make it worth our while. And then go Friday and also Saturday. This will be our first time at Disneyland. Any suggestions for our Disneyland portion of the trip? What are some must do's? We don't plan on any sit-down meals since we will be eating so much on the cruise. I would love to go to Club 33 but that's not going to happen. Some day (wishful thinking).

I really think first timers who go to DL should eat at the Blue Bayou. I love that place and it is unique to DL. I am not the pro I used to be at DL since they added California Adventure and Downtown Disney. I used to go all the time when I was growing up but have only been once since they opened CA.

Well I feel like we are getting really close. I booked our rooms for the night before the cruise in El Segundo. Not too familiar with the area but they weren't that bad and I can still switch if I need to. We are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn.

I also booked our room in Las Cruces, NM for the night before when we drive out. I am sure hoping they raise the speed limit on I-10 to 85 before March. That would be blessing At least they got rid of the nighttime limit. We will be leaving on Friday after my daughter gets out of school at 2:30. We will be driving to our first hotel the first day and then straight through to Cali the next day. We will be picking up my mom at the airport (not sure what one) when we arrive that evening. Then we'll stay the night before the cruise. It will be a crazy adventure driving that far. I wish we could fly but it is just too pricey and we would have to miss too many days of school to get the cheaper tickets.

Any idea how up to date the FE list is? Paid in full date is still over a month away but I have a feeling there have been lots of cancelations.

Can I suggest we have a cut off deadline to join, it is hard when people join at the last minute.
