"Dreaming" of Mexico in March 11th 2012

I am in the process of making my daughter an autograph book. I bought a binder to decorate and then I am adding a band of ribbon for a strap. I will add pages for autographs, journal, and scavenger hunts-All her favorite things. I want her to carry it and keep it with her since she may meet characters when I am not around. I also get tired of doing the mom thing and carrying everything.

Someone is looking forward to his first Disney cruise! He was born yesterday.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the boy is UmmGood's, he mentioned on the previous page that is wife was expecting a baby any day.

Congrats, what a lovely little boy, hope everyone is doing well.

Congrats. How exciting! Looking forward to meeting the newest Disney fan.

We are excited to show him all things Disney. I am a Disney fanatic and my wife didn't used to be but has come around.

Thanks my wife and Isaiah came home from the hospital today. Both are doing great. He is a very calm baby so far. Hopefully his sisters don't rub off on him too much they are very high maintenance. We are raising princesses after all. My oldest loves her new baby brother but our younger one is not quite sure about it yet but that is understandable.

What a beautiful family. I am sure his sisters will be doting on him for quite a long time.

Here is an updated listing for the fish extender. There is plenty of time if others want to be added. I think we talked about a deadline of a month prior to the trip (Feb. 11). I will need more info to add to this list (names, room numbers). As I get info I will keep it up to date.

We just booked this cruise!! It'll be the first cruise for my DS (15) and the second for me, my DH and my DD (13).

Hello, "Got Disney" and mousefan5!! My DS is a sophomore on the football team but did play baseball until 8th grade. He loves video games (although we significantly limit them in our house), but I don't want him to play video games the whole trip. I'm nervous that he will find a cruise boring, so let me know what your DS do in the Teen Club and maybe that will excite him.

Hello ABDisneyDad! My DD is about your daughter's age. Maybe they can meet up?

DisneylandWe plan to arrive in CA on Thursday and stay at DL hotel or GC on DVC points. Then go to DL/CA on Friday and Saturday. This will be our first trip to DL/CA!! We are WDW veterans and have absolutely no idea what I'm in for in planning for a DL trip. :-) I know I'd like to eat at Blue Bayou. I'm a foodie!

ExcursionsI just read LimoFan5's trip report on Mexican Riviera and I think I will take her advice for booking the Cabo Beach excursion through the resort itself rather than through Disney.

We're also planning on booking the Cabo Canopy Adventure (zipline) through Disney for the first day in Cabo. Does anyone know if you can book that for cheaper through the company rather than Disney?

We're also looking at the Las Caletas Hideaway beach excursion in Puerto Vallarta. Not sure if you can book that through the resort itself for cheaper.

It's been 5 years since my 1st cruise and I feel I've forgotten EVERYTHING!!! I know that I'd like to make magnets for our door and I'd like to book Palo for dinner and/or brunch on At Sea days. Maybe a spa treatment. My husband definitely will want the Rainforest pass. But I can't think of what else I need to do to get ready....

I need to start looking at the Sticky threads and get researchin'!!!

:cheer2: We just booked the MR cruise for 3-11-12. This will be a great spring break for the four of us. This will be my daughters and my second but my husband and sons first! We are so excited!!!

I am glad that there is another teenager my son's age. It seems like they have some of the same interests. My son is not necessarily planning on going to the teen club. I hope he can be persuaded. I think he will enjoy it if he goes.

We have some of the same plans. I am so excited about going to Disneyland since we have never been there before. It should be an exhausting few days so I will be ready to relax on the cruise.

UmmGood, love the picture of your kids.

Welcome to all those who have just joined the cruise, it is coming fast, we will be at less than 100 days soon.:cool1:

My husband and I would be interested in the Palo brunch!

Cckovach we live in the same area! How cool is that!!!!!

That is crazy! Gotta take advantage of the kids' spring break!

Hi and E:dance3::welcome: my son who is a sophomore plays football and is 15 is out and about the whole cruise....he gets up at around 10 when I bring breakfast in for him...why you ask do I bring him breakfast....because he after the teen club closes at 2am he says goodbye to his friends and strolls in at around 2:15am,orders room service and falls asleep at around 3:00am....he does all the teen activities and makes lots of friends...I see him occasionally at meal time but he is always on with our excursions....

This time since it is just him and I he said he wants to eat with me so I am not alone....

I am taking this cruise as a get away for me...I am so involved with the family and school and sports mom and college stuff and a senior with senioritis that I want m time...so with Michael coming it's still like I have my time because he is so involved having a great time without anyone telling him who he can hang with what time to be home, telling him he can't go here or there or what ever else us mons do to keep them on track....on the cruise he just has to check in on the wave phone every couple hrs....it's freedom for him...

What kinds of activities are available for teens? He must really like them to be out until 2:15am!!!

they do all kinds of things from dances to sports to eating diner togther to video games and other kinds of games, late night swimming and so on....all things to keep teens engaged...you can do them or not do them or just sit back and chill with your friends.....Michael is very social and makes friends fast....

He has been on the ship soooo many times that he knows the rules.....but they are teens and we all know teens have jello for brains.....he knows that one thing comes back to me that he gets in trouble for then he will have to hang with mom and dad for a whole day....no friends to be had. That si if the captain or staff call me down to the office for a chat...:lmao:

We look at our disney cruises as a 3 way vacation.....DH and I have our vacation.....The kids have their vacation and we have our family vacation.....we do family stuff and on our own stuff.....it works out great!
