I was glad I saw the spoilers. I would of been crying way worse than I was.
I hate when the show ends.

. So sad. It's not morbid, and it's not just limited to the Victorian era, there's a network of professional photographers in the US that volunteer their time to an organization called "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" that take some very moving post-mortem portraits of infants. Their web site displays some incredible examples, but have the tissues ready...On a side note, and please don't think I'm morbid, but I got on Pinterest, looking up things related to Downton Abbey and somehow stumbled upon Victorian Era Post-Mortem photographs. Since people rarely (except the rich) had photographs of any kind since they were so expensive, when their loved ones died, they would pose them and take a photograph of them-dead! Sometimes they would pose with the dead family member, it's as if they tried to make the dead person look normal and alive, in many instances the eyes were opened, looking completely normal.
Needless to say, this was like a train wreck and I couldn't stop looking. I had a very odd, night's sleep last night.
If Downton Abbey had a Facebook page!!!!!ENJOY!!!!

Can this thread be spoiler free? If not, I will probably unsubscribe. I like the element of surprise, even in cases like last night. It was devastatingly sad but I'm glad I didn't know ahead of time.
