For my husband it was the in-laws at least. We took my Mom and Dad on their first trip ever. I am not going to get into a detailed report, just some observations and feelings.
The dining plan was way too much food for us. With five of us we had 40 of each category. We used all our table service ones but had 17 snack credits and 23 counter service credits our last day. We went down to the Boardwalk while waiting for our Magic Express bus for the airport. We bought the people behind us pizza slices at Spooldles with some of the credits. Still had some left so DH went to the Boardwalk Bakery and got Rice Krispy Treats with those credits. We used the rest of our snack credits for the chocolate coins for DD's creats for her class so it worked out good.

We did not see any members of the Dream Squad and only saw one family with dream fast passes. I though it was more crowded in the parks than last year. I agree with others that the word is getting out. All in all we had a good time. There were a few rude people that would run into us and would not say "excuse me". I guess being from a small town I am just used to people excusing themselves. There were also quite a few make out sessions while waiting in lines as well. Just a difference in people I know, just not something I am used to seeing with the groping in public, not just a quick kiss and holding hands. Yes I am sheltered! I could also not believe the amount of people that would leave their trash all on the tables at the counter service. We actually picked one someone's trash in order to have a place to sit up.

The Boardwalk was great as usual. We enjoy staying there and all of the concierge cast members made us feel at home. We got a great room on the 4th floor. We had a deluxe room so there was a boardwalk view. It was great.

We did not see any problems with the service at the restaurants after we told them we were on the dining plan. We left extra tips every time so obviously we thought there was good service.

I can answer any questions you have. It was another great vacation. I was actually ready to come home this time, I think because of the extra travelers. I loved taking my parents and they had a great time. They were exhausted but they had fun. I guess I will just be glad when it is just us and DD's friend again. I got over the ready to come home and now am ready for our next trip. Only 579 more days!!! :woohoo:

Thanks for your report. I'm glad that everything went well for you and you had a wonderful time.

Tell me more about BWI's concierge level...

Did you check in at the main desk or on the concierge floor? I've heard conflicting reports.

Were drinks left out all day, did you have to ask for them or could you grab what you needed and go?

We've stayed at other Disney concierge floors, but not at Boardwalk. Any info you can give is appreciated.
Thanks!
