Does that make me CRAZY?

I'm terrified by mayo.

I also can't stand touching chalk, clay or unfired ceramics.

I LOVE THIS THREAD!!! :lmao:

Ok...so I love it when I first turn the air conditioner on in my car and it will have a musty smell for a split second...reminds me of Pirates of the Carribbean at DL :lovestruc

Also I CANNOT stand it if the shower curtain touches me at anytime...especially while I'm in the shower :scared1: ! I don't care if it's brand new or a couple of months old. I have to have my husband take it off and throw it away. Makes me want to GAG. It's even worse at hotels...makes my skin crawl! Luckily in our house now we only have one shower curtain. The other shower is a huge walk in double shower type room and doesn't need a curtain :dance3: (thank goodness!)

I CANNOT watch sausage being cased on the Food Network shows. It freaks me out. Also, the sight of Andy Rooney's untrimmed eyebrows (60 Minutes) turns my stomach.

I get totally grossed out dealing with anyone with nose and/or ear hair and men with long nails. Seriously, my gag reflux kicks in. Don't they ever look at themselves in a mirror?

The thought of having ones toenails flipped back totally freaks me out! I get that woozy feeling in my stomach and a tingling sensation goes down through my legs. Happens anytime someone wearing open toed shoes opens the door to go into a store or restaurant. It's all because that very thing happened to my oldest DS when he was 3yrs old at McDonalds and he wanted to open the door to go in.

I cannot drink/eat like foods at the same time.

For example:

Can't drink apple juice while eating apple pie
Can't drink orange juice while eating clementines

It feels 'wrong'

Well I don't think I'm crazy, but definitely a little OCD. I HAVE to have even "patterns" on both sides of my body. So, if I tap my thumb on my index finger, then I have to tap all of the fingers and then do the same on the other hand. If I do some kind of a rhythmic pattern on one hand, I have to repeat on the other side. My son has the same kind of "evenness" requirement. He also hates sandpaper. He's sitting here beside me so I had to add his in. :lovestruc

Me too! I just graduated high school and luckily they had all white boards but when I was in middle school some of the rooms still had chalk boards...I hated it if I got called on to write something on the board :scared1:

I don't mind wet clay but if it dries on my fingers I hate it. I can't stand it if paint dries on me either

I absolutely cannot stand the feel of cotton. I can handle clothing made from cotton, but touching a cotton ball makes me nuts. Especially when you have to pull it out of a new bottle of aspirin or something. Once my dentist put a piece of gauze in my mouth and I literally flew out of the chair!

My biggest nightmare is when I see my students sucking on their gloves or mittens in the winter. :scared1:

I thought I was nuts, I can't stand it either!

When I had two of my wisdom teeth out two years ago, it didn't occur to me that there would be gauze involved. LOTS of gauze. I woke up from the anesthesia with a mouth full of gauze and almost threw up. Then, they told me that I would have to CHANGE the gauze and BITE DOWN on it for at least 24-48 hours.

I'm SO not going back to have the other two out unless they can come up with a way to do it without involving cotton/gauze.

Also, DH had his wisdom teeth out on Wednesday, all four of them. The first time he had to change his gauze, he couldn't figure out if he was putting it in the right spot, as he was still numb. That man had the audacity to ask ME to put the gauze in for him. Nuh-huh. *shivers*

The Geico cavemen make me sick to my stomach - they have from the first commercial. If I had Geico insurance, I'd have to change to another company.

Ah, I love it when these kinds of threads show up on the DIS...they always make me feel so NORMAL! :lmao:

Carry on. :teeth:

When I get super mad...on the verge of crying my eyes out angry..I don't throw things. I clean things...I will clean the whole house.

Oh me too!!! There are sometimes I look at my house and wish I would get really pi$$ed off, so I could zip through my house and it would be clean. :lmao:

My oh my oh my....I though my family was the only one like this. I remember my father having it when I was growing up and now my sister and I are like that too. We don't necessarily have to have even "patterns" but if we're touched on one side of the body, we have to be touched in the same spot on the other side just so we're not "lopsided" :thumbsup2

It just doesn't feel right if only one side has been touched. I remember many times my father and sister would aggravate each other by walking by and hitting the other upside the head or something, just to watch them have to hit themselves upside the other side of the head. It really was quite amusing until someone did it to me of course, then I would get angry. LOL

And I have to start everything with my left side. ALWAYS!!!

Left sock/shoe on first
Left foot in pants first
Left foot up ON the curb and then DOWN off the curb.

It REALLY REALLY bugs me when I have to get in my car (since you get in with your right side) Takes me a while to feel "right" again.

***as a side note. For those of you who have the "cotton ball" issue, my dad has the same thing with napkins. He says he doesn't like the feel or sound of them rubbing together. He'll literally get up and leave if someone is near him doing it. And yes, he says it has a "squeaky" quality to it.

My dh's quirk is that he cannot stand toast. He will leave the room if you try to butter toast. He does not like the sound of you biting into it either.

My older hates the sound of slick material. You know the kind that if you touch it, it makes that weird noise.

I am trying to think of something for me, but I just don't have those quirks.

I can't have soggy food. As a result, I order everything "on the side." It drives DH nuts. Ketchup cannot be ON the french fries, I have to dip them, preferebly on a separate plate so the ketchup does not touch the fries. Any kind of sauce on a sandwich has to be on the side so the bun does not get soggy. Then I dip the sandwich and bite.

Oh, I also have to do a "spider check" every night before bed. The last thing I do is scan the walls and ceiling of my bedroom. I check behind furniture also. And yes, I have found some during my nightly checks. :rotfl:

I can't stand watching people brush their teeth. I can't understand why this has to be on SO many movies...geez, we all know people brush their teeth, we don't have to watch it!

On the same token, I hate watching people spit! Geez...

Someone brought up a paper plate. I can't standing watching people LICK thier plate...really?????...are you that hungry??

I know I'm crazy! My family reminds me daily!

I have my own way to eat M&Ms: I take a handful & eat them 2 at a time. But I make different color combinations & can't have any repeats, like 2 red, a red & blue, a red & yellow, yellow & blue, etc.

Can't stand popscicle sticks. Hate the way they feel in my mouth. :scared1: I won't eat anything on a popscicle stick.

I can relate almost anything to Disneyworld. That doesn't make me crazy, does it? ;)
