And Belle could navigate Cinderella's Royal Table..... I've never been in H&V but can't imagine its tighter than CRT!

Keep in mind that Sofia's ballgown isn't quite as pliable or forgiving as some of the other princesses (although, as mentioned upthread, Belle isn't in her ballgown at CRT). Sofia is an "animated princess", and so her dress is an "animated dress". It's not a "real dress", and so it has different qualities.

When you think about how wide and solid that dress needs to be to BE Sofia's dress, and then think about the limitations on the vision of the person inside the costume, it becomes a bit more understandable why it's hard to navigate through tight spaces.

On Monday (8/5) the Orlando Sentinel reported that Sofia will be meeting starting THIS Sunday (8/11).

I'm surprised for diversity Doc isn't right behind Sofia...seems like a win win for Disney!

My almost 3.0 year old loves Sofia but only braves face characters...I wonder if she will be okay. Imagine the lines this fall will be huge for her!

This may be off topic, but we just saw the traveling Disney JR Live Pirate and Princess show here in SC. The characters were face characters, and the show was amazing! I loved it as much as my DD5 did. If it comes near you, it is a MUST see!!! My daughter has seen the pics of Sofia from the parks, and when she saw the face character in the show, she couldn't believe it was "really the real" Sofia. So magical for her!

This was at the very end and there was Peter Pan, sharkey and bone, Jake and NLP, Cinderella, Sofia and family, and Doc!




I understand it could be a staffing nightmare, but I would be pretty awesome if Jake, Sofia and *one day* Doc could be face characters!! But we will be happy to meet Sofia regardless in November!

Probably impossible. I don't see adult face characters ever for these particular individuals ever appearing, and obviously children cannot do it.

I concur. I received a confirmation just this morning that "Sofia goes live on Sunday". I said, "THIS Sunday ... August 11?" And the response was, "Yes."

So ... there you go.

Mesaboy confirmed her appearance quite a few days ago and with it also being in the Sentinel, be sure to get there early! I believe Disney Jr. Characters are only out until 4:30 or so.

I know this is a long shot, but I can have hope! It looks like there will be a Doc Mcstuffins meet and greet at the D23 expo in anaheim. If she is doing a meet and greet there, that means they have a concept for her! I am crossing all my fingers and toes that she might actually come out in the parks! I think it is too optimistic to hope for our trip to WDW in October however...
