Doc Mcstuffins and Sofia meet and greet

I think it would make more sense to have a Doc meet and greet. They could even add one of her toys! Doc appeals to both boys and girls more than Sofia. Don't get me wrong, my boys like Sofia but they adore Doc. And Doc is very marketable. You've got all her toys...the lamb, the dragon, the hippo, the snowman...then you're got dr kits...the big book of boo-boos..they could make a cool stethoscope/toy set where the stethoscope is a remote control for Lambie.

When I told my 5 year old we could meet Sofia, he asked me what about Doc? I want to give Doc a hug.

Relax? I'm not sure how you could think writing a comment such as the one you did, wouldn't stir things up. Un-needed but to each their own.

Yes Sofia is Latina, but a lot of people don't know that and I can honestly see why but if you follow the story and get into the show she is meant to be Latina. I agree I would love to see doc in the parks soon, my kids love doc! But as others have stated, Disney does well with the princesses and that's one of their main markets. Disney junior comes second to that and that would be my guess as to why Sofia is first to come out. I do think doc isn't far behind to come to the parks though and my guess would be maybe she will appear at Hollywood and vine. I can't see in any way how this would be racist in the slightest way. If they were both the same race this wouldn't have even been a debate, it has nothing to do with race, it's strictly how Disney sees what characters draw more people and which characters they do the best with long term. either way doc is on the way and lets keep it friendly folks.

I agree I think doc will be coming to the parks shortly and I can't wait, my kids love that show also, I think it's a great idea maybe add lamby or stuffy with her- that would be cute!

Disney completely backtracked on the whole Latina thing. Here are some excerpts from the linked article:

I'm holding out hope that they make it to H&V by December. We have a reservation there on December 10th, but I'm going to cancel if the characters don't change.

Fingers crossed... DD7 will probably be 'too old' to want to meet them after this trip

It is highly unlikely for Sofia to move to dining. Her skirt is huge, as large as Cinderella's, and maneuvering around the tables in H&V will be more difficult than it is for Oso. I think it would be cute to see her with Jake but it probably will never happen.

Based on both development costs and brand issues, I don't see that happening. Tiana has the same problem, actually. Her gown is the widest of the princesses and can't navigate the crowded restaurants. They could put her in something else, but people want to see her in the gown, not her kitchen or "pre-princess" clothes. Sofia isn't the same without her gown. She needs all of that costume to balance out her freakishly large head!

Belle is only in her blue dress at CRT. I totally agree with how tight it is at CRT and even Akershaus is tight compared to H&V.

Honestly as long as Sofia has her own meet and greet by November, I'm fine with that. I just really hope they get Doc out there before then! My daughter was totally into Sofia, and still loves her, but Doc may have just moved into #1. I have a sinking feeling it won't happen though, seeing Sofia M&G was announced, albeit tentatively with the "late summer" wording, quite awhile ago. A Doc meet would have been teased by now if she'd be there by my trip, I'm guessing.
