Do You Get Sad When You Finish A Chapter of Life?

I am the sentimental type and often think about something being the last time I do this or that. For instance, at Christmas time I thought about it being the last year with a child living at home. December sure will be different without my active teen daughter here and the whirlwind that she brings. Now, I see I have passed it on to her. She was in a drama performance this weekend, and she realized it was the last time she would ever perform in her high school lecture hall. It brought tears, and I shake my head seeing she is just like me. Do you know what I mean? :(

This is so me! My ds is away at college, but next year will be studying abroad in Italy, so I won't see him at all for an entire year:sad1: DD is graduating eight grade this year and going to high school, so I'll probably be the weepy Mom at the graduation ceremony:sad1: Change is hard for me;) I still miss when they were babies:sad2:

Thank you everyone for responding and empathisizing with me. It is good to know you are all out there, understanding how hard it is to complete a happy and wonderful time of life. I am about to embark on a milestone, my youngest child going off to college, and it is particularly bitter-sweet to experience all the 'lasts' during her senior year. I am sure you will be hearing from me again. ;)
