I gave them to my DD's school when she was in elementary and middle school. Now that she's in HS, I give them to a friend for her kids school. Can't seem to just throw them out after saving them for so many years. It's like throwing away $$ someone could use! I do the same for soup labels.

I am the Box Top Coordinator (Queen!) at our elementary school. It is a GREAT way to raise money for the school. In 6 years our school has earned over $12,000!!! That money was earned with very little effort...just a few contests throughout the year, out student's favorite contest is Boys VS Girls.

I am almost positive that homeschoolers can participate in Box Tops. I am sure that the homechoolers in our area benefit from this program. Check out the Box Top website for more information.

For those of you that don't have students participating PLEASE save your Box Tops and pass them along to someone who does save. Many schools have collection boxes at local businesses and they are always happy to have you stop by the school and drop them off. Our school even has a collection box at the local senior center.

Yes, we do. Even before DS started school I would save them and pass them along to the parents of school age kids at church so that they could turn them in.

I called this morning and they said as long as we're an accredited homeschool group we can participate. Well in my state you're accredited as long as you have your excusal letter, so I signed up my homeschool group!! :cool1:

Thanks PP for the info! I can't wait to get the info and present it at our next meeting in Sept :)

Yes we do! DS's school also has contests between the grades to see which grade can bring in the most over the course of the year. His school uses the money (about $2,000 per year) to schedule a presentation for the whole school to enjoy (chosen by the winning class). They have had everything from magicians to a man who brought his "Reptile World" to the school.

This is a GREAT program.

Our school collect them with a bunch of different things too like cell phones and printer cart. I see it really does help being on the PTO this year.

If you don't have a child in school you can prob drop them off at any elem. school in your district. Most have lock down so just buzz the door bell and they will let you in. They will appreciate your time!!!!
