Do you clean your own gutters?

I was just wondering if this job is something I can expect my DH to do, or if I should hire a professional. We have a small one-story house, so there aren't a whole lot of gutters to clean and it's not very high up. We've had them cleaned professionally once before, but I was just hoping to save $75. Is $75 worth the hassle?

We clean our own and it takes just a few minutes, actually.

We have had a ton of rain here and seeds are falling and clogging up gutters. DH just cleaned our yesterday.

We have a one story, too. Ladder, bucket, little whisk broom or the like.

UUGGHH!!! I HATED that job when I was a kid. We always cleaned out our own - as soon as DB and I were old enough, we were put to work - disgusting.....

But yes, as long as there are not considerable heights involved, I believe he can do it on his own. If you don't have alot of gutters, it shouldn't take too much time at all and you save yourself some money!!

My DH used to clean ours, until he started getting vertigo. I was scared to death he'd get dizzy while on the ladder. We had new gutters installed with guards on them that actually keep the debris out. Now nobody cleans our gutters. The new gutters were expensive, but we got a new downspout and bigger gutters and as a result we've resolved the leaky basement problem that had been making us crazy!

Well, I'm 9 months pregnant, so I can't do it. Ha! Who am I kidding? No way am I going to do that job.
