Do men find Kelly Ripa sexy?

To most people, fit and athletic can be attractive. She is skeletal, though, with probably close to zero body fat. That isn't attractive on anyone of either sex.

There are people (including women) with close to zero body fat but look anywhere from built to downright huge because of large amounts of muscle mass. However, that probably takes more time in the gym that Kelly Ripa likely spends, and often involves a certain amount of pharmaceutical enhancement. She looks bony, and I don't care for bony.

She was quite a bit heavier when she was on All My Children years ago--particularly when she first started. I thought she was prettier then. I am female though.

Since dh refers to fashion shows as "sticks on parade" I'm gonna guess that he would not find her attractive. (His sisters said he always brought home chubby brunettes, of which I am one)

I'm female and in the group that finds her unattractive and doesn't feel guilty saying so because she so obviously TRIES to be supper skinny.

I feel the same way about her as I do about Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston - they just looked better when they had a few more pounds on their frames.

I have a good friend who is very thin and is attractive - because she is who she is. I don't have any negative feelings about her thinness. However, if she was obsessively trying to get thinner, her attractive factor would go down IMO.

My guess is my husband might find her attractive at first glance but would be turned off as he realized how skinny focused she was.

I just posed the question to my husband, and he said that he thought she was very attractive years ago when she first started with Regis, but he finds her "bony and scary" now. He thinks her chest area is creepy in that you can see her sternum clearly poking through her skin.

He did say though that part of it was he found her personality "fun and appealing" back in the beginning but she seems "fake and insincere" now. I think the personality is a bigger issue for him. So there you have it ;)

I personally think the super skinny look ages her tremendously, but she has excellent taste in shoes!

I prefer curves on a women but she has a pretty face and that's the most important thing.

I thought it was already common knowledge she has an eating disorder.

JanaDee,
Well, yes, that is indeed what I've heard a lot out on the East End for years, but since I've yet to ever hear from her or anyone in her camp actually admit it, it remains "rumor" so I decided not to include that thought.

Doesn't she remind you of Jim Carey"s female body building character on In Living Color? Just too manly!

Her husband finds her attractive. I'm sure that's good enough for her. ;)

Just because he's still married to her doesn't mean he finds her attractive still. After all, she's the money maker in that family. When he first met her on the AMC set she was a normal weight -- and adorable IMO.

I have a coworker who is skeletal and wasn't always that way. She's always telling us her husband complains that she had literally "spun her *** off," (she gets up at 4 am to go spinning before work every day) and counts every calorie and then some. I don't think he means that as a compliment...

First off, to those saying she has 'zero or near zero body fat': That's impossible. Know why? Because she's alive. A person cannot survive with less than 2% body fat and less than 4% will put you in the hospital because you can no longer function fully. Professional bodybuilders work hard (and use growth hormone and chemicals) to achieve 6-8% (men)/ 10-12% (women) and only maintain it for the competition season, because it's not healthy.

Now, on to the subject at hand, I don't find her attractive and neither does my husband, but that has very little to do with her physique and more to do with our tastes. Ya know what else? It doesn't matter what we think. Obviously she is devoting a lot of time and drive to achieving a goal, and I refuse to judge a person for that, no matter how bad I think it looks. Now, if her health were in jeopardy (which I doubt it is at this point), I would certainly feel for her and want her to get the help she needs, but that's not the case.

I just showed this photo to my husband and all I told him was, "Remember when you used to watch AMC with me to amuse me about 20 years ago? Remember Haley"? And his reaction was "what happened!??? Is she ill?!!!?

Btw, I think the main reason he didn't complain about watching that show with me is because of how she looked back then -- Haley was his favorite.

No, I don't find her attractive at all.
There is a difference between someone who is naturally skinny and someone who starves themselves. The first looks natural. The second looks sick.
Kelly Ripa looks sick. Her chest is just plain creepy.

She looks just like my older sister in a bathing suit. If it was not Kelly's head on that body, I would have thought it was my sister's.

My other sister is even skinnier--well, maybe not--she's taller so she looks thinner. Neither of my sister's have eating disorders but my oldest can be a bit obsessed with what she eats and does not eat.

I have no issue with thin, toned bodied. But when the bobble head look starts that brings out my snark. ;)

Yep, I was a longtime AMC fan. Kelly Ripa as Haley during her long run on AMC looked nothing like the Kelly Ripa of today. She looked healthy then. So, no, skeletal is not her normal body type. Something switched inside her head along the way. I sure hope it doesn't rub off on her children.

Kelly used to be curvy. The disingenuous thing is she keeps talking about how flat chested she is. If having breasts is that important to her, she'd stop dieting and exercising so much.

I think there is more to this than just diet and exercise. I wonder how long she and her husband have been married because I would garner that there is no more intimacy in their relationship?
