Just got back from a wonderful holiday trip to DLR. I travelled with fellow DIS board member Kaygela and her family for their first trip to Disneyland. I've been to Disneyland many times. Ironically more times than I've been to WDW, considering I live in NY. I had family members that lived in California when I was growing up, so we'd always go to Disneyland. This was my first visit to California Adventure though and my first trip back to Disneyland Park in 5 years. What a great park California Adventure is. We were all surprised that it wasn't that crowded compared to Disneyland Park. California Screamin is probalby one of the best Roller Coasters I've been on. It would be nice to see that coaster show up somewhere at WDW too. I want to thank Kaygela for planning all of our meals and making the reservations as well as researching the tours, etc. We enjoyed the Holiday Tour and all the Christmas Decorations as well as the premier seating for Fantasmic. It's well worth the money spent to get reserved seats instead of wasting time sitting on the ground for the show to start. DLR is truly a magical place and we could all feel it being there. Yes the lines were long, but we didn't mind. We took advantage of as many fast passes as we could. At times I was even running to the other end of the park just to grab more fast passes when the time was appropriate. New Year's eve was extremely crowded. The park reached capacity very early in the day. At times it was difficult to move around, but we all had fun and enjoyed the show and fireworks display that was put on to ring in the new year.
Disney parks are always a magical place. Decorated for the holidays it felt even more magical. I would definitely travel back during a holiday time.
