DL walk of magical memories bricks

I looked at C08 today and there were definitely more bricks installed since I was there. There were bricks up through no. 575 in the C08 section. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't finish up in the next month!

However, for those of us in C19, there's nothing started there yet. I bet they'll finish C08 first, then start on C19.

Oooh!! I'm C08 - 640....getting close!

DH and I will be there 23-26 June. I'm not counting on seeing our brick then, but it *would* be nice.

I don't know what took so long, but I finally got my lucite replica. I'm in C19. While it looks great, it's also a lot smaller than I expected. The replica is only 4" across. I thought the actual bricks were bigger than that. Someone tell me, the actual bricks are bigger, right? It's not just my imagination?

I don't know what took so long, but I finally got my lucite replica. I'm in C19. While it looks great, it's also a lot smaller than I expected. The replica is only 4" across. YAY for receiving yours! Funny you should post this today because I was just starting to wonder about mine.

For anyone else in the "wondering" stage... I called this morning and found out that it should be mailed to me in the next couple of weeks and is scheduled to be put in during mid-August. (I bought mine the very last day, in the last 30 minutes.)

Thanks much, Dreams! Yep, YAY for receiving it. I think I ordered about 2 or 3 days before the end, so they're clearing the backlog. I'll bet yours comes in a few days.

Funny, since posting this, I went back to my paperwork. While I haven't located the description that you posted about the actual pavers, I did locate this:
"For an additional $35, you can purchase a 4-inch acrylic or wooden replica of your stone as a keepsake."

So they did tell us that the replica is 4 inches. D'oh.

And yes, I've been rolling with it my whole life. Works so far. Thanks.

C08 is still up to brick no. 575, while C19 has no bricks yet. I did notice some new-ish looking bricks in C20. When I took a close look, the names seemed familiar. Then it came to me: these were bricks for some recent and current Disneyland Resort Ambassadors. It was pretty cool that they got bricks too!

I don't know what took so long, but I finally got my lucite replica. I'm in C19.

Hooray for receiving replica bricks! I got mine last Thursday. Hopefully more DISers will be getting their replicas soon as well!

We purchased ours the first year they came out and they told us after ten years they'd be removing them and replacing them with new personalized bricks. I'm so glad they're not doing that! It's so cool to be a part of the magic

can't wait to get the replica, it's been a while (Feb) since I purchased the brick! Can't wait to see it in place, even if we won't be back for a while now (sniff, sniff) since we've gone the last 3 years, DH wants to go somewhere new on our next vacation...maybe a cruise or Hawaii. I would love to go back to Florida, maybe if we go on a caribbean cruise.

I'm glad you posted this Bob! I was just thinking about this today! LOL I can't WAIT to get my replica!!! I know EXACTLY where I"m putting it...of course I'm trying to plan a surprise trip in October and really wanted to "unveil" it while we were there then so I'll have to hide it until I figure out if I can do that or not. I also ordered the last day so it's good to know things are moving along!!

I know what you mean, Kerri. We'll have DGD over for a week in July, and I'll have to remember to hide the replica. I plan to trick her into finding her name in the walkway bricks when we go in November. Don't want to spoil the surprise!
