I know what you mean, Kerri. We'll have DGD over for a week in July, and I'll have to remember to hide the replica. I plan to trick her into finding her name in the walkway bricks when we go in November. Don't want to spoil the surprise!

We are doing the same thing with our kids. I ordered mine about a week before the last day so I have had my replica for a while now. But it is still in the box, hidden away from the kids.

We plan to go in August (after I read here that they have been installed, LOL) and stop right by it and pretend to be looking for something in the backpack. Then we will see how long it takes the kids to notice it. If they don't, we are going to drop something right there and ask them to pick it up for us.

No, no replica yet, but I'm not that worried....I didn't get my final paperwork for quite a while after everyone else here did. I'll be sure to post an update when I get it.

Has anyone seen how the brick installation is going?? C08 to be specific?

Just back from a full day in the parks. I checked the bricks on the way in and there have been no new bricks installed since my last visit. As of today, July 2, section C08 has bricks up to no. 575. And there are no bricks yet in section C19. Sorry! I wish there was something new to report.

and from even a few feet away, it is invisible! Looks like an empty stand up there, weird. But, I do like it.

LOL Invisible! It was actually the reason I toyed with getting the wood one instead, but just liked the acrylic better, but you are right, it can become very difficult to see.

I have it on a shelf with other special Disney mementoes. I have placed a 4" wide purple candle behind it. It acts as a back drop for it and it stands out nicely.

And I just have to add... EEEEK! I have a Disneyland paver! YIPPEE!

I got the wood replica. The CM on the phone was trying to help me decide and she said that most people in Oregon get wood , while most Californians get acrylic. Colorado and Wyoming also prefer wood. All I was wondering was, "If I get acrylic, will I even be able to see it from far away, or will it look invisible? I can see mine just fine from where I'm sitting

My mom was there on Saturday (July 9th) and they were still up to 575 in Section C08.
