Any of you who are AP holders should enter the AP preview sweepstakes for Star Tours. They're end of May-beginning of June. You can take up to 5 AP holders with you. Supposedly the only people who can attend are AP holders. Wouldn't it be fun to have a group (or more than 1 group) win?? Good luck everyone!!!

Thanks for the info Stacie, I just registered.

Hadn't checked the AP site for a few weeks, so your post was the first I knew of the Disneyland Resort Annual Passholder Star Tours Preview Event Sweepstakes. Crossing my fingers.

Good morning ladies!

Just got the news that I could be a grandmother to triplets!! :faint:

My son and DIL have been seeing a specialist in Pasadena for their infertility. My son has a genetic disorder that he doesn't produce sperm at all. But according to this doctor, there have been some men who did father a child. Well, Beau went to the doctor and they surgically found 5 sperm from him! That in itself is a miracle. (I still can't believe it.) :goodvibes They immediately took them to another hospital and did invitro with Tiffany's eggs. The sperm had to be woken up, (whatever that means) and 3 of them took. After a few days, Tiff went back to have them implanted. They put 3 back in, hoping at least 1 would take.
Looks like all 3 did!!!! :dance3:

They will go back again in 2 weeks to hear the heart beats, and double check!

I thought life was busy now......looks like it's going to get waaaaaaay busier!!

Beth, hope you feel better soon. :flower3: BTW- Quiet books are cloth activity books with something different to see and do on each page. When I am done, I will post pictures of it.

Hi to everyone else!

Melody that is wonderful news!!! I pray that the pregnancy goes smoothly & they are blessed with 3 beautiful, healthy babies!!!! Having multiples is lots of fun!! :dance3:

Just spent the entire day at the children's hospital with Anthony. He went thru the autism clinic.....we kinda figured he wasn't on the spectrum, but figured something was going on with him. We knew he had a lot of anxiety & is being treated for that.....but they also decided that he has Reactive Attachment Disorder.....so now off to go do some reading on it.

I am exhausted after a week in WDW, 1 1/2 days home to do laundry and get the family caught up, then 4 days in DL. My feet HURT!!! But of course, I would do it again in a second!! We all had so much fun on both trips!!
You are insane!! And awesome all at the same time. :rotfl2: :worship:
I saw your post about riding the same rides in the same week in two different states. Your next goal needs to be to do it in the same day!! I read about a father/son team who did that. Now that would be exhausting!!!
Glad you had fun. :goodvibes

:wave2: A quick hello!! Need to catch up on the thread. Hope everyone is having an awesome afternoon! It's gorgeous here! :woohoo:
Hey Becci!! Glad you are getting some great weather finally. :)

Sorry for the drive by but it's time for Girl Scouts.

Hi Steph! Good to see you, even in a drive by. ;)

I have never heard of that before. Seems there are so many different disorders now. It's a bit overwhelming. Good luck with that.

Have a good night, ladies!! I am so tired. Feeling better though. (knock on wood!!!!) I made more cake balls for my older kids to take to school. They took some the other day and got their friends addicted to them. LOL
I told them they should be like cake ball pushers......the first taste is free, after that they'll have to pay. :lmao: Just kidding of course. I'm happy to make them and glad the kids all enjoy it. I made chocolate cake, with chocolate frosting, and chocolate coating. Whew! The kids will be "chocolate wasted" in class tomorrow. ("Grown-ups" movie reference) :rotfl2:

Nighty night!! :)

I'm alive. Uber busy. The other website, that I am staff on, is kicking into high gear. It's a Stampin Up demo site and our convention is just 3 months away. Registration is open now and the planning is under way. We are hosting a function for our website and I'm up to my butt in barracudas right now dealing with that. So, hugs and smiles to all, but I will be scarce for a while.... I am reading the updates daily via email, but just haven't got on DIS.... it tends to suck me in.... LOL

Mel that is amazing!!! I would be jumping up and down if it were me :yay:

That is about all I have been able to catch up on so far. I am so looking forward to next week when things will settle down for a bit. My plans are not going the way I want them. I have hotel reservations for the tattoo convention in Reno, but work might not give me the day off (I only need a sub for 1 hour) after I was told initially it shouldn't be a problem. Plus, my to-do list keeps growing and I barely have time to finish it all.

I have 850 eggs to hide at church on Thursday, plus the actual hunt as well as Open House and Brydon's baseball game; then Earth Day festival on Saturday, my best friend is fighting in his last fight that night (GO DOUGIE!), Antique show on Sunday and finally.....rest......:faint:

... I'm up to my butt in barracudas right now...

That is a very funny visual!!

Morning ladies! Woke up this morning to my son telling me he had been up during the night with stomach issues so he is home sick. And as he is telling me this, I look out the sliding door to see my dog throwing up!! Yikes!

In other news, looks like I will be taking my son and 3 of his best friends to DL in August! My sister will be coming with me (another DL freak!). We decided to drive down and spend the first day at Universal Studios (will stay at the Sheraton Universal) and then spend the week at DL - I am booking PPH concierge rooms - with 4 teenage boys it will be money well spent! I haven't stayed at the PPH in about 5 years - I always stay either DLH or GCH. But Laurie's photos made me realize that they have update the look and I thought I would give it a try (thanks Laurie!). I have done concierge at both the DLH and GCH but did not do it at the PPH so this will be also be a first.

Looks like I am going for the DLR trifecta - staying at PPH late Aug, staying at DLH labor day for the 5K and at the GCH first of Oct!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning everyone!!

Haven't been on much in the last few days because this ridiculous cold that a few of us seem to have it just miserable. I feel like my head is going to explode LOL.

Beth I hope you are starting to feel better!! Yesterday I just pretty much laid on the couch all day with my box of kleenex and my sudafed LOL.

I almost think it is a combo of cold/allergies cuz I know here at least the pollen levels are insane.

Luckily I am lucky that Shane is back on days and able to take the girls to swim because I doubt I could do it right now!

Mel that is WONDERFUL news about your son and DIL!! I am so happy for you and them!! I hope it all works out and will be praying for them and you!!!

Sounds like quite a few people are getting busy with upcoming stuff.

Tonight we have open house at the girls school. They have a min day today and then open house tonight and they are both performing a musical performance and then we get to see Katy's science project and I think Shelby has something to show us in her class as well so looking forward to that. Then this weekend I have that baby shower so looking forward to that as well.

We also will hopefully be going out and getting shelby's bike for her birthday this weekend. Since we are getting her a bike we told her we would let her go and pick it out and just "get it" early rather than trying to buy it and give it to her on her birthday.

Anyway I need to run the girls to school but Laurie I am glad that you were able to get a diagnosis for Anthony and hope you can figure out what all that entails.

Take care all and talk soon!!

Thanx Beth & Kelly!!:hug: All I really know at this point is that Reactive Attachment Disorder happens when a child (very young) is exposed to neglect, abuse, drugs, alcohol, etc. They are unable to build appropriate relationships so they either never truly bond with anyone (including their caregivers) or they attach to everybody (including strangers). Anthony is the latter.....he doesn't understand boundaries & hugs & tells people he loves them right after meeting them. More reading & understanding to totally get a clear picture.

Bridget......glad you liked the PPH pics.......we loved our stay there & I'm sure you will too!!!! :woohoo:

Supposedly the only people who can attend are AP holders. Wouldn't it be fun to have a group (or more than 1 group) win?? Good luck everyone!!!

I entered! Hopefully one of us will win. I put down 6 people.

Laurie that is so sad! :( And esp to have a child who has had that done to them and then to know that he is picked on at school. Poor kid. Just makes me want to hug him. I hope that you are able to get him the help he needs!

To all the gals that are trying for the AP preview I hope you get picked!! I am so excited to see the new rides and parade when we go in June! I just hope it isn't a madhouse!! I am glad that we are staying onsite and will get to use our MM's but am not sure if ST will even be inlcluded in that but may have to use that to get in line (EEK!) Wonder if they will still have fast pass for it???

I am hoping they will have a special pin for one or both of the new rides since they open on my birthday. Thought that would be a cool souvenier to have a pin denoting the opening with the actual day of my birthay on it!! Only wish I could be there on the actual day!! What a cool birthday that would be but unfortunately we can never go on the ACTUAL day because the kids never get out of school till the following week. Just hope that if they DO have any pins there will be some left by the next week! :)

By the way Chris I meant to say (but I had to run earlier) so glad you got your bag back!! Sux that you lost your money and gc's but I know how much it stinks to lose your id and such so glad you got it back!!

Hope all the MA gals had a blast!! I SOOO want to do that some time but it always seems to fall at a bad time for us. We always try to go in the summer or during the holidays and we usually can never make it back when they have it :(

Someday!!

Anyway I am off to finish up some laundry and try and rest up for tonight. Have a good one all!

Good morning, ladies!! Happy Hump Day!! I am so ready for this week to end!!!!

My inlaws are coming this weekend and will watch the kids one night so Ruben and I can have an overnighter alone. :) Hopefully we are both better by then! The only downside to my MIL coming is she's always quick to point out how much weight I've gained back. As if I don't notice it myself. Oh well, what can ya do.

Today Ruben's back at work, he's feeling a bit better. And I'm just planning on doing a whole lot of nothing. I have to get over this cold!

I'm up to my butt in barracudas right now dealing with that.
:rotfl2: Interesting. Good luck with everything! Hope it's not too hectic for ya!

You wear me out!!! :worship:

In other news, looks like I will be taking my son and 3 of his best friends to DL in August! My sister will be coming with me (another DL freak!). We decided to drive down and spend the first day at Universal Studios (will stay at the Sheraton Universal) and then spend the week at DL - I am booking PPH concierge rooms - with 4 teenage boys it will be money well spent!
Wanna adopt me? :rolleyes1
Sounds like a fun time!!
Hope your son feels better. And the dog too! lol

Beth I hope you are starting to feel better!! Yesterday I just pretty much laid on the couch all day with my box of kleenex and my sudafed LOL.
I WAS feeling better last night, then this morning I feel worse than ever. It sucks. I hope we are both well soon.
Enjoy the open house tonight, and the baby shower this weekend. I love baby showers! All those cute baby gifts. :cutie:

Thanx Beth & Kelly!!:hug: All I really know at this point is that Reactive Attachment Disorder happens when a child (very young) is exposed to neglect, abuse, drugs, alcohol, etc.
Wow, so sad. Again, good luck with this.

Well, have a good day everyone!! TTYL!!

Hi to my Diva sista's :). Been sick last little bit ended up sleeping lots. Went to ENT and am now taking antibiotics so should be back to normal in a few days. I started feeling better after the 3rd pill. Now have 23 more to go to get rid of this ugly sinus infection.

Laurie I want to take a moment and let you know as he gets older this may change. As I told you my sister adopted --her niece from age of I think 2 but they had her off and on for months before. But the state wants the child to reunite with family so back to her mom she would go then after a month or so poor little thing was back with sister and bro-in-law. Tasha did the same thing, would meet some one and hug them and say I love you. She is older now and seemed with age --and probably lots of professional help-- she does not do that anymore nor has she for about 5 years. She is still very loving.

All children deserve a safe and loving childhood. When you know this did not happen for some children I get depressed and then so mad about it. I have to say I hate the fact that states will take a child from a safe loving home and "give" back to the abusing parents. Once you have a child removed from home you should not be able to have child return -- maybe ever. I think the rights of the child far out reach the rights of a natural parent. Just cause you can birth a baby does not make you a mom or dad. Ok stepping down from soap box. I jsut wanted you to know there is so much hope.

Oh one more thing-- my daughters best friend used to travel with us. I always had to watch her careful as she was very friendly with strangers. ( She is now a nurse-- so you see her mind set). Anyway, my husband is watching her while Krista and I ride peter pan. We walk back to the two of them and Dale is laughing his head off. Ashley felt sorry for the people waiting in line for the Merry go round so she was opening the exit gate and letting people in. She was having so much fun husband just let her do it.

Now now Divas get over being sick. Drink those fluids, rest and eat good foods. No sugar while sick ! I think it helps infections grow but that is just my thoughts.

Oh My, triplets how exciting. She is sure going to need lots of help. Glad it will be her first delivery as she is going to need lots of bed rest. I know being older first time mother I seemed to get very tired-more then friends I knew that were much younger when they had first child.

I was on fertility meds, shots and such for 4-5 years. I actually was taking meds for the last time I was giving up and we were going to save for invetro, which cost 10k min back in 82. And well much to our surprise I got best valentines gift ever. I was going to have a baby. My Dr. was so surprised his nurse ran the test 3 times before they told me. It was then hugs for everyone.

Mel, Thoughts will be for you and DIL these next few months. They are so lucky as you are:).

Patty

Thanx Patty!! We knew he had anxiety & even some separation anxiety......Addy & him still ask us when we're going out the door if we'll be coming back......so sad to see the damage that's been done & we've had Anthony permanently since Aug 2004 & Addy since July 2007 & they still worry about us leaving them. Breaks my heart!

Yes I totally agree Patty.......the children's rights SHOULD outweigh the parents but that is not how it works. Our biggest frustrating with foster parenting was not having a say in what was best for the child that lived with us. It's all about the child when they're taken into state custody but it's all about the parents from then on. You can't tell me removing a child from the only home & family they've ever know & making them go with basically a stranger is good for them. Addy really felt abandoned & it took almost 2 years after she came back for me to go in a room by myself or leave her for 5 mins.

We'll just keep moving forward & getting them the help they need. We'll just keep loving them & fighting the battles they'll continue to face.

Thanx for the support Divas!!!

Hi ladies,

For those who are sick- I hope you all feel better soon!

Jessica- is this still in your backyard?

I think it's really cool. I have a green skeleton one from a previous series :) It's so fun to collect these but at least with Vinylmations, I can trade them. lol.

Hi to everyone else!

That's absolutely amazing, Mel!

Morning everyone.

Everyone must be busy with life or getting ready for spring break if not already on it. Yesterday I just tried to get some chores done round here but my head was absolutely killing me and I was trying to take a nap after picking the girls up so I could be good for Open House but the girls were running around and one of them knocked a platter off my china hutch and it shattered so of course I woke up and had to clean up the mess and needless to say my adrenalin was up and my head just got worse and so by the time it was time to go I was just NOT feeling up to it so they had to go without me :(

Shane and my mom said it was nice and they got to see some of the girls artwork and such. They also had the book fair going on and mom let them each pick a book out for their easter baskets in lieu of candy. We are trying to get away from a bunch of candy and junk and get them stuff that they really need and they need to make their reading goals so we each bought them some books for their baskets.

Anyway today is my last day off and I just have a little bit more laundry and such to catch up on and am going to try and rest up and then tomorrow is work again. I have a BUNCH of taxes and such that I have to do so I am a little stressed about it. We hired a CPA last year but I have mainly been doing all of the taxes on my own and I really wanted him to at LEAST help with the quarterlies and the main corp taxes and he hasn't really been doing that. I have first quarter taxes due tomorrow as well as payroll tax and a bunch of other stuff and of course he is NOT coming in and I am not thrilled about it. We have gone through like 4 CPAs in the last 5 years because they have not been worth a darn and I am doing MOST of it but I am not formally trained and just need SOMEONE who knows what the heck they are doing but the ones that are any good want to charge WAY too much for the little bit of help that I require and it is REALLY frustrating! So it is just really stressful. I hope tomorrow goes well and I can get it all figured out and I hope we got some money in so I can actually PAY all the stuff that is due! I'll just be glad when tomorrow is over and spring break is started!!!

Looking forward to the shower and looking forward to mom and I taking the girls to see Rio next week. Not sure what else we will get to do on the break but at least sleeping in a bit will be nice!! ;)

Anyway hope everyone has a good day!!

Good morning, ladies!! :sunny: I can see the weekend from here! Yay!! :thumbsup2

Kelly, I'm sorry you missed the open house. Enjoy Spring Break next week. I cannot wait.

Hi Tina! Good to see you here. :)

Trudi, did your images come back home yet?? lol How odd....

Rochelle, love the new skeleton Domo. Very cool.

Hello to everyone else. Where is everyone?? Did y'all run off and get a life?? :scared1: ;)

Anyone watch American Idol last night? The guys did great!!! I was so happy to see them sticking to their guns and going with the song choices they wanted. It really is such a unique and diverse group this time around. I love it.
I'm ready for the girls to go home though. In my opinion, they aren't doing as well as the guys. And I have to say, I haven't been a big Stefano fan, but last night he really nailed it! Great job!!

My husband and I were also talking about J-Lo being named People magazines most beautiful woman in the world. Ummm, really? :rolleyes1 She's pretty, don't get me wrong, but most beautiful in the whole world?? We weren't sure we agreed with that assessment. But congrats to her anyway! lol

Okay, off to take the twins to school. Have a great day everyone!! :)
